Logan sighed as he stepped out of Luke's office, sadness written all over his face.

He had been demoted to the caretaker, which made him even more miserable. Though he had not been taken away from his mentor, he was still miserable.

The caretaker was one of the lowest roles in the hospital. All those who were given that role were subjected to intense humiliation. He was going to be no different, and he was sure of that.

Logan clenched his fist as he swore that he was going to get to the end of the issues. There was no way he was going to let the matter slide.

The medical plan was originally his. He just couldn't understand how it had turned into Jake's medical plan. Well, that was not something he could debate on.

First, he had to think of a way to get out of this mess. Logan sighed as he thought about this; he didn't know a way out of this mess, nor how he was going to do it. He was still lost in his thoughts when he stepped into the elevator.

"And look who's here with us?" A mocking voice sounded, pulling Logan out of his thoughts.

Turning around, Logan looked to see who it was, and he froze immediately. His gaze landed on the person.

"Jake..." Logan clenched his fist, glaring at Jake, who was in the elevator alongside Alicia.

"What do you want, huh?" Jake smirked, stepping forward, staring at Logan right in the eyes.

"I..." Logan stuttered, holding back his fist.

They were in the hospital; there was no way he could act rashly. If he were to make a direct move against the latter, then even his mentor wouldn't be able to protect him.

Thinking about this, Logan suppressed his surging anger, then looked away. He had to be calm no matter what Jake was going to do.

"You don't dare to do anything to me, huh?" Jake scoffed, seeing Logan's expression.

"Get out of my way!" Logan snarled, shoving Jake to the side. He was lucky that the elevator came to a stop, so he just walked out directly, wanting to leave Jake and Alicia behind.

There was no need to stay back. He would just end up acting against Jake, and he was sure that was what he wanted.

But it didn't look like Jake was going to let him off that easily, as his mocking voice came just as Logan was trying to hurry away.

"Where do you think you're going, thief?"

"Do you think I would let you off after stealing my medical plan?" Jake continued, a hint of anger in his voice.

"So he dares to steal Young Master Jake's medical plan?"

"He's too bold. Too bad Mr. Luke is always protecting him. If I were the one, I would have sent him away. He's just too useless."

"Yes, I never even liked him from the start. He knows nothing but to steal other people's medical plans."

The onlookers, mostly interns just like themselves, whispered to each other, shaking their heads while pointing at Logan.

At this moment, Jake had a smirk on his face while he held Alicia's arms, staring at Logan, whose face was red from embarrassment.

"Jake, what the heck do you think you're saying? When did I steal your medical plan?" Logan growled, trying to suppress his anger.

"Then tell me, if you didn't steal it, why were you demoted to a caretaker?" Jake scoffed, and a wide smile appeared on his face while he pulled Alicia closer to himself, aiming to annoy Logan even more.

"I..." Logan wanted to defend himself, but he couldn't find anything to say.

He couldn't possibly say that the medical plan was his. Jake had stolen it from him. No one was going to believe this story.

"You're nothing but a thief..." Jake jeered, his voice full of disdain.

"You all, you'd better take care of your things. If anything goes missing, you should ask him. Don't say I didn't warn you." Jake turned to the crowd and announced.

Immediately, everyone distanced themselves from Logan. Even the patients who were sitting nearby immediately moved away.

"I'll deal with you." Logan gritted his teeth as he searched through his memory for a talisman that could affect Jake and inflict bad luck on him.

The latter had overstepped his bounds, so he had to teach him a lesson, or else he was going to continue to be arrogant.

After a while, Logan smirked. He had already completed the talisman. The bad luck was going to inflict Jake soon.

The talisman was the lowest of the low; it required a little bit of energy, which was why Logan was able to execute it quite easily.

"Hey, leave there!" A yell came at that moment, forcing everyone to look.

Jake, whom the yell was directed at, froze for a moment before he reacted. The next moment, the light fell, dropping right on Jake.

Originally, there was a repair going on. So the one who was repairing lost control of the light, making it fall on Jake alongside the debris of the ceiling.

"I'm sorry, sir!" The worker hurried over, apologizing to Jake, who had blood flowing out of his head alongside some shards of glass. His face was covered with dust, making everyone laugh, though they tried to hold their laughter.

"Forget it, I'll go clean up." Jake waved his hands impatiently and quickly walked towards the elevator to hide from the shame.

Getting into the elevator, he didn't notice that a part of his clothes had been caught in the elevator.

Immediately, the elevator closed and started moving; a loud ripping of clothes could be heard, followed by Jake's furious roar.

The reason was that there were usually many people on the floor he was going to, and now his clothes had been torn.

"I feel better," Logan muttered under his breath, turning around to leave the hospital while waving his hands to dispel the talisman he just activated.
