Chapter 23

The sound of the alarm clock woke up Abby.

She rubbed her eyes and lazily got up the bed.

Abby suddenly woke up herself as she realized that it was the day that she feared. She never thought that she would be working directly for the CEO after she got hired.

Due to her education, they said that she couldn’t get a position inside the office. One should have a master’s degree to be an office staff and she accepted that already.

But today was a different day for her. She didn’t know what exactly she did for her to finally get the job she wanted ever since she graduated.

Though inside her heart, she didn’t know if she should feel excited or nervous.

Abby had no idea why of all people she was chosen to be the acting CEO’s secretary.

Her heart started to pound again as she remembered that she would no longer be at the reception.
