"Wait a second!"

Thomas shouted anxiously, rushing in only to realize he was too late.

At that moment, the big door slowly creaked open, and a group of people stepped out. Leading the group was Bryce Reed, who shot a disdainful glance at Thomas before letting out a cold snort.

"Thomas Brown, you're late. I'm officially notifying you that you are expelled!"

Thomas hadn't even had a chance to say a word when the group standing next to the principal began to revel in his misfortune.

"Thomas, you should just go home early and spare us the embarrassment. You don't deserve to work in the same place as me," said King Emerson, Thomas's colleague.

King was arrogant and looked down on him, often mocking and isolating him behind his back. Thanks to him, Thomas had become completely alienated from the other teachers.

Upon realizing that his students didn't like him, King tried every trick in the book to win them over, hoping to get favor with the rich kids. Thomas looked at him with cold eyes, silently mocking him. Seeing this, King’s anger flared. He stormed toward Thomas, his voice dripping with contempt. "You poor kid, what do you even have?

How dare you stare at me!"

He thought to himself that he needed to teach Thomas a lesson, to show him who was in charge. King had often tried to trip Thomas up before, but this was the first time he was so openly confrontational. Looking at his slim stature, he felt a surge of confidence, convinced that Thomas was no match for him. One push and he would surely fall.

Just as King was about to grab Thomas, he swiftly dodged out of the way. With all his energy spent, King stumbled and fell awkwardly to the ground. Thomas raised an eyebrow, a smile playing on his lips as he casually asked, "You all can't be here waiting for me, are you?"

The crowd exchanged strange glances, astonished by Thomas's audacity. Did he think they were here for him?

"Thomas, what are you talking about? We're not waiting for you, we're here for the new school shareholder!"

Grinding his teeth, King pushed himself up from the ground. Seeing the mess on his clothes only fueled his anger, and he glared at Thomas, wishing he could tear him apart.

That guy had the guts to dodge him, he was bolder than he thought!

The others looked at Thomas with a mix of surprise and disbelief. Was he out of his mind, thinking they were here for him?

Bryce shot Thomas a disgusted look before quickly averting his gaze, as if he might vomit if he stared any longer. "I told you before, you've been fired.

Why are you still here? Get lost and don't ruin our school's image."

Inside, Bryce felt a twinge of anxiety. The school had suddenly changed shareholders, and he had heard this new shareholder was someone important. He had no idea who they were or what their temperament might be, and more importantly, he worried about how it might affect him. He had gained quite a bit from his position as principal, and there was no way he would let it go easily.

As soon as he spoke, the others looked at Thomas with even more disdain, their eyes glaring at him like a lowly animal. Thomas's expression darkened, his hand clenched tightly in his sleeve. Suddenly, a Range Rover pulled up beside him, coming to a smooth stop.

Bryce, feeling a surge of frustration, shouted at Thomas, "Get lost, or I'll call security!

You won't get away with this!"

"Are you threatening me?" Thomas replied calmly from a distance, a smirk playing on his lips. Bryce's eyes darted to the Range Rover parked behind Lawrence, and he stomped his foot in irritation. He regretted being too polite earlier and not having security kick Thomas out.

Now, Thomas was stubbornly refusing to leave!

He worried about the impression the new shareholders might have. In a panic, he shot a glance at King, who was always by his side like a loyal dog. King wouldn't miss this chance to please him.

More importantly, Thomas had embarrassed him earlier, and he was determined to get revenge.

With a forced smile that didn't reach his eyes, Bryce approached Thomas.

"You little brat, you brought this on yourself. Don't blame me…

"Idiot!"

Thomas said, his lips barely moving as he uttered the two words. For a brief moment, King’s expression froze, but it quickly vanished, replaced by a sinister grin.

"King, you're too clueless for your good..."

"Who's clueless?" King’s voice came from behind, making Thomas turn in surprise. It was indeed him.

"Don't get it twisted, he wasn't talking about you."

When Bryce saw King, his face broke into a wide grin, and he quickly began to explain. What a guy who can't get anything right!

King felt a wave of frustration wash over him. How was he supposed to know that the

shareholders meeting would suddenly take a turn? He jumped in to clarify, "You've misunderstood!

I wasn't talking about you. I meant this guy who's been hanging around and won't leave. I'm worried his shabby appearance might ruin your impression..."

Before he could finish someone inside the car told Bryce that Thomas was his boss, and everyone watched in shock as Bryce walked straight over to Thomas and respectfully said, "Sir, I'm sorry for being late.

Please forgive me!"

What?!

The crowd gasped, their jaws nearly hitting the floor, especially King. How could this be possible?

Thomas looked like he had nothing to his name, and yet he was being called "Sir"? Was this some kind of joke?

King quickly regained his composure, forcing a smile as he asked, "Are you... sure you've got the right person? He can't possibly be..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Mr. Bryce impatiently interrupted him.

"What's your problem? Do I know you?

Besides, I've known Thomas since he was a kid. How could I not remember you?"

At this point, everyone was completely frozen, staring in disbelief at the scene unfolding before them. Thomas ignored their shock and curiously asked Michael, "Are you the shareholder they were talking about?"

Realizing that Thomas had misunderstood, Bryce quickly explained, "Sir, you're a shareholder of this school."

"How is that possible?"

King gasped in disbelief, his face a mask of shock. Just moments ago, he had belittled Thomas, and now he was suddenly a golden phoenix rising from the ashes. The abruptness of this change was too much to process. Bryce felt the same way.

He had just been trying to get Thomas to leave, and now, out of nowhere, he had become his boss. The one who held the power over his fate.

In contrast to their reactions, Thomas furrowed his brow, a hint of reluctance in his expression. He forced a smile and asked, "Why wasn't I informed about this?"

"Well, I thought it would be a nice surprise for you, sir."

They had already placed their orders, just like usual. However, they didn't notice a line of small text appearing at the bottom of their screen. This was where Damien started to play his tricks. Seeing that the dishes ordered were all extravagant and lacked any creativity, Damien decided to add some amusing notes to the order. Once everything was set, he unplugged the data cable. Damien hoped that the arrogant guy would appreciate the gift he was about to receive and truly enjoy his meal. After all, he hadn't forgotten how that jerk had ruined his dinner the previous night, leaving him humiliated in front of Thomas. Now that they finally had a chance to meet, it was a classic case of enemies crossing paths. Damien was determined to see who would outsmart whom. He had a mind full of schemes and mischief. If Damien didn't teach him a lesson, that guy would never know just how formidable he could be. Meanwhile, the staff received a notification about Damien’s changes. Neither side wa

As for Damien, the information they had was still too limited, and the surveillance footage hadn't revealed much, only adding to the mystery surrounding him. They could only hope that Damien was indeed his real name; that would give them a clearer direction for their investigation. The first step was to follow up on his name and license plate number, and the second was to look into his interactions with Mrs. Clair. The license plate number was a more straightforward lead, especially since these luxury vehicles often had more information hidden in their registrations. It wasn't just basic information; it could involve fixed assets or family background, and there might even be personnel records tied to it. They checked two cars, but the registered owners were completely different, with no obvious connections between them. This made Damien’s identity even more elusive. Perhaps Thomas was being too cautious. The person they were investigating certainly warranted a thorough look into. "B

The person across from her paused for a moment. He had heard from a friend that this was urgent, otherwise, he wouldn't have answered the call. He didn't realize that identifying items could be such a pressing matter, and he felt a bit puzzled when he heard it was just a picture. "It's fine, just show me the item," he said. Seeing that he understood, Ava let out a sigh of relief. She pulled out her phone, opened her photo gallery, and clicked on the image before handing it over with both hands. He took the phone and examined the picture closely. To be honest, the photo wasn't very professional, but the item in it was indeed intriguing. Ava watched him closely, not feeling any dissatisfaction. He was studying it carefully, and she couldn't tell if it was out of politeness or if the item truly had significant value. After a thorough look, she confirmed it was a rare style. When she looked up, she noticed the expert's anxious expression, And he finally spoke. "From the picture you pro

"Enter the password." The information needs to be unlocked again. "Sorry, the password is incorrect." Ava realized that the number was neither her daughter’s birthday nor her own. She had tried a series of possible digits, but now her attempts were limited. What could that number be? Ava fell into silence. "What are you doing?" Thomas suddenly appeared, startling Ava so much that she quickly shoved her phone into her pocket. She looked at Thomas, whose hair was still damp from the shower, and wondered how he had come into the living room without her noticing. "You... you're done showering? Look at you, how can you just throw your clothes around? The sofa isn't a wardrobe." Ava quickly scooped up the clothes, using them to cover her pocket, trying to act as casually as possible. Thomas stared at her for several seconds, sensing something was off. He slowly spoke up, "What's going on with you?" "Um, I'm done. You should go wash up too. I'm a bit tired, and could you take those clot

  • CHAPTER 115

Grandpa was becoming more and more muddled as he aged, and his actions were downright laughable. At his age, he placed great importance on material possessions, leaving one to wonder if living long was a blessing or a curse. "You've all seen what you needed to see. If there's nothing else, you should head home early," he said, dismissing everyone. Thomas let out a sigh of relief. If the old man continued to push his luck, he would turn his party into a farce. Robison glanced at Thomas's expression and thought, "Looks like you dodged a bullet this time." He was still angry over the unresolved issues he had with Thomas, feeling as if a heavy stone was lodged in his chest. Meanwhile, Ava seemed to have been granted a reprieve. She grabbed her mother's hand and said, "Mom, let's just say a few words to Grandpa and then we can leave." Mrs. Solara had been unusually quiet all night, which was out of character for her. She couldn't stand the tension any longer, but the recent events ha

  • CHAPTER 114

Thomas seized the moment, realizing he needed to reassess the situation. The other party's intentions were crystal clear-they were here for him. As Thomas listened to the way he spoke, the sarcastic tone was nothing like how he spoke to Robison. It reminded him of someone he didn't like, someone he was starting to genuinely resent. "Just say what you need to say. I can't stand this kind of talk. Who sent you here? Or who told you to come?" Damien scrutinized the man before him, his gaze sharp and filled with an underlying threat. This was someone whose mere presence could shake the very ground beneath everyone around him. Here was a super powerful boss, yet he insisted on playing it so low-key. It was one thing to be humble, but it seemed like someone was taking advantage of him. Damien thought Thomas was being far too patient. He couldn't understand why someone so formidable would let others walk all over him. If he had such impressive power, he should at least make it clear to ev
