There's a thing about rumours ,when it begins to spread, it is very hard to contain it. And there are always bad consequences, be they true or false.

Yesterday was Mr Nelson's birthday, and today, since he came to work, the thing he had been doing was answering one call after another, assuring his business partners and some of his friends that he had no hand in the death of his late daughter, who was adopted.

Right now he was on the phone with someone he had gone into partnership with recently , a businessman who was known to be upright and who did not want anything that would affect his business.

"Mr Nelson, I do not understand why you did not call the police to harvest your son-in-law Mr Andrew when he made those allegations against you, because doing that would have made it seem as if what he said was true," his business partner told him, his voice stern.

"I've already explained to you that he has mental issues. Taking him to the police will not do him any good , if he dies in the cell, how could I live with myself?" Mr Nelson asked, trying to gain sympathy from his business partner, but it wasn’t working.

"I don't care what you do to him, but find a way to make these allegations and rumours go away.” The business partner huffed.

“You know very well that I cannot work with someone who is not upright. If I find out that what he said is true, I will cut off my partnership with you and you know that will make you lose a lot of money," his business partner warned, his tone final.

"I can assure you that what he said was not true. He has no evidence , if not, he would have brought it out. So do not worry about it. See you later," Nelson reassured his business partner, forcing a smile before ending the call.

Just then, a message popped up on his phone. He checked it , and it was from his secretary. It was a news report released yesterday.

When he opened the article, the headline caught his attention.

Ceo Nelson of Nelson corporation Accused of Killing His Adopted Daughter to Harvest Her Organs for His Biological Son , How True is That? The reporter added a disclaimer that everything written was what the son-in-law, Mr Andrew, had said about Mr Nelson.

Ceo Nelson clenched his fist and slammed it on the table, his jaw tightening.

"I thought that fool was dead. How did he suddenly come to my birthday party?" Mr Nelson asked no one in particular, since he was alone in the office.

He was still wondering how Andrew was alive, because he was sure he had told those people who took him away to kill him to clear all evidence of his existence. Since his father didn’t want him and no one cared about him, no one would look for him.

Mr Nelson was still deep in thought, wondering what he should do, when his secretary sent him another link to another news report. He opened it ,and was surprised to see what was written.

Two Men Found Killed by an Unregistered Gun in Their Car. Looking at the pictures closely, he recognised them , they were the two men he had sent to track Andrew yesterday, to tell him where Andrew would go after leaving his birthday party.

He scoffed, shaking his head.

"How did Andrew become so dangerous that he would not care about the consequences of his actions and kill somebody?" Mr Nelson asked aloud, tapping his fingers on the desk. Right now, he was remembering that he had also told those men that if they could kill Andrew, they should do it. But now it was the other way around.

Andrew had just come to his birthday party, caused trouble, accused him of killing his adopted daughter, and left. He knew he needed to clear the air immediately.

Mr Nelson called his lawyer friend and sought advice from him.

The friend told him, "Ignore the allegation Andrew threw at you. Don’t say anything and don’t even try to take Andrew to court."

"But he’s going to ruin my reputation," Mr Nelson argued, gripping the phone tighter as he stood by the glass window.

The lawyer sighed. "You know that if you take him to court, we do not know if he has any evidence against you. Apart from that, your business rivals might take it as an opportunity to dig up something against you and start backing Andrew up.”

“I don’t think that’s something you want. The only thing we need to prepare is to keep you safe and prepare ourselves in case he comes with any other allegations. What I want you to do is put out an article saying he has mental issues and just leave it at that." The lawyer advised.

When the call ended, Mr Nelson called his secretary to his office, gave him the information, and the secretary passed it to a reporter. Soon, an article was published saying that Mr Nelson did not harm his daughter, and that Mr Andrew, who accused him of such nonsense, had mental issues and could not tell right from wrong.

The news was published that very day, and Mr Nelson continued working. Andrew was not good enough to ruin his life , or so he thought.

Mr Nelson was signing a document when his phone began to ring. He picked it up and saw it was an unknown number , and this was his personal line. The only unknown number calling him could be from his private investigator, so he answered.

"Did you find out the location of Andrew?" Mr Nelson asked quickly, but he heard laughter in the background.

"Well, this is Andrew speaking. What can I do for you?" Andrew asked, his tone mocking. Mr Nelson’s eyes widened.

"How did you get this number? What did you do to my private investigator?" Mr Nelson asked immediately, his voice sharp.

Andrew laughed again.

Mr Nelson asked him angrily, narrowing his eyes as his fists clenched on the desk."I don't want much from you. I just want you to suffer.” Andrew chuckled coldly.“I want to bring your reputation down. I want you to always watch your back, wondering who would stab you in the back. I want to give you a beating so that you know that it actually hurts to get beaten by someone and ganged upon.” Andrew paused and exhaled. “I just want to see you fall, and I'll be happy," Andrew told him. He knew that everybody was now watching him, so he didn’t want to say anything else. His bodyguards stepped forward, to grab Andrew and take him out of there. The driver got out of the car, walked around, and opened the back door for Andrew. Andrew stepped out calmly, his face expressionless, and walked straight to the entrance. He showed them his invitation, and the bodyguard in front of the door looked at him suspiciously."You seem familiar. Do I know you?" the bodyguard asked Andrew, narrowing his eyes. Even though Andrew had changed quite a bit, gaining a lot of muscle from the training he did over the past four years, the guard’s voice hinted at a faint recognition."I don’t know if you hav
