Tian Fan sat leisurely in Manager Gu’s room, counting dozens of storage rings filled with gold coins. Meanwhile, the owner of the room was now walking with three other managers toward the arena where the challenge match was to be held.

The four of them departed together with a large group of servants and workers from the trading house, accompanied by horse drawn carriages carrying many medium sized wooden crates.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the city, in the courtyard of the Four Gates Alchemist Guild Hall, a large group of people had gathered, all dressed in red clothing and carrying flags bearing the symbol of the moon. They were joined by another group of alchemists clad in white robes with conical head coverings. Around the tournament arena, a crowd of people stood waiting to watch the match, mostly consisting of cultivators, adventurers, and youths from the Four Gates City.
