Chapter One – The One They Thought Was Useless
The call came at exactly 7:13 a.m. Charlie glanced at the caller ID and sighed. Nancy. He picked up.
“Get to Central Hospital. Mom’s condition has worsened. They need blood. Again.” Her voice was flat—no gratitude, no concern. Just an order.
“Alright,” he replied quietly, already grabbing his coat. His face was still pale from the last donation, but that didn’t seem to matter to Nancy—or anyone else in her family.
He stepped out of the small, crumbling apartment. The morning breeze hit him like cold steel, but it reminded him he was still alive. Not that many people cared whether he was or not.
Just as he turned toward the main road, a woman stepped directly into his path.
“Charlie!,” she said. Her voice was calm but filled with weight. Urgent, steady.
He blinked, confused. “Do I know you?”
“Not yet. But you will,” she said. “Listen carefully—you’re not who you think you are. You were once a War God. A protector of this nation. But something happened—an ambush. You lost your powers… and your memory.”
He stared at her like she’d grown wings. “What?”
“I don’t expect you to believe me,” she said, pulling something from her coat. “But everything you know about yourself is a lie. You were once the most feared and respected man alive. And soon… you’ll remember.”
Charlie shook his head. “Look, lady—I don’t have time for this. I have somewhere I need to be.” He tried to move past her, but she blocked him again.
“Take this,” she insisted, forcing a business card into his hand. “If you don’t believe me now, that’s fine. But tomorrow… everything changes.”
Before he could respond, she turned and vanished into the early crowd like smoke. Charlie looked down at the card in his hand, but didn’t read it. He shoved it into his pocket and kept walking.
War God? What kind of nonsense was that?
The hospital stank of antiseptic and strained nerves. Cold fluorescent lights buzzed overhead like insects. Charlie walked in, and instantly, Nancy was there—arms folded, expression carved from ice.
“You took your sweet time,” she snapped.
“I came as fast as I could,” he said.
“You always have an excuse, don’t you?” she muttered, not even bothering to look him in the eye. “The nurse is ready. Don’t waste time.”
He followed her down the corridor, dragging his feet slightly. The last donation had taken a toll on him. But complaints weren’t allowed in this marriage.
Soon, he was lying on a stiff bed, arm stretched out. The nurse inserted the needle with practiced coldness.
As the blood began to drain, Charlie stared at the ceiling. His vision blurred at the edges. 600ml. By the end of it, he was already dizzy.
Nancy didn’t even glance at him. Instead, her expression lit up when a sharply dressed man entered the hallway. Carl Kidman. Polished shoes. Tailored suit. Hair like he just walked out of a magazine. He radiated wealth.
“Carl! You came!” Nancy’s tone did a full 180. Sweet. Warm. “Thank you so much. I really don’t know what we’d do without you.”
Carl smirked. “I called in a few favors. Your mom’s condition… It's complicated. But we might have a solution.”
Then he turned and gave Charlie a glance. One look was enough to say everything. Contempt. Disgust. Superiority.
Nancy leaned closer to Carl and said, almost whispering, “Looks like this useless thing is no longer needed.” Charlie bit down on the inside of his cheek. Hard. But he stayed silent.
A doctor came out a moment later, holding a tablet. “We’ve reviewed her scans. It’s rare—but not hopeless. There’s only one person with the skill to operate: the Miracle Doctor.”
Nancy gasped. “Is that true?”
The doctor nodded. “But he’s very difficult to reach. She’s selective… and expensive.”
Carl puffed out his chest. “Don’t worry. I’ll bring her here. My family still has influence.”
Then Carl flicked his gaze toward the doctor—and the doctor gave a slight nod. Too fast for Nancy to notice, but Charlie caught it.
“We may need more blood,” the doctor said, far too casually. “As backup.” Nancy didn’t hesitate.
“Draw more.” Charlie’s body tensed.
“No… I already gave too much. Anymore and it’ll—”
“Oh please,” Nancy sneered. “You’re still breathing. That’s enough.”
The nurse hesitated, but Nancy barked, “I said draw more! Leave him with one last breath if you must!”
Charlie tried to resist, but his arm was like lead. His vision was already tilting, and now… he was falling deeper into it. They drained more blood. He could feel his heart slowing. His breath was shallow, his limbs numb. Everything was fading.
Nancy didn’t care. She turned and walked away with Carl, laughing at something he said. The nurse pulled out the needle and left without a word. Charlie lay there, alone. Half-dead. He couldn’t lift his head. His hand twitched, reaching for his phone. But instead, something slipped out of his pocket.
The card. The one the woman had given him. He blinked slowly, dragging it toward him with the last flicker of strength he had left. He turned it over—and froze.
“Secretary of Miracle Doctor: Linda Sarman.”
His heart thudded once. Hard. Linda… the woman who stopped him earlier. The one Nancy and Carl were desperately trying to find so she could link them. She’d already found him. That couldn’t be a coincidence. That couldn’t be a lie. Could it?
He stared at the name, his fingers trembling. Was this why she told him he’d remember soon? Was she not only the secretary of the miracle doctor—but also the key to unlocking his forgotten past?
The sound of nurses chatting in the hall blurred into noise. Charlie’s breath was shallow, but in his mind, everything had gone sharp. If this woman was the only one who could save Nancy’s mother, then what did that make him? A pawn? A stepping stone? Or the one person who held all the power—and simply hadn’t realized it yet?
His eyes burned with exhaustion, but there was a flicker inside him now. A spark. Something he hadn’t felt in years. It was faint, almost impossible to define. But it was there. The woman had called him a War God. She said he’d been the nation’s protector. That he had power, wealth, and influence beyond imagination. And now she’d come back—just as Carl and Nancy needed her the most.
Charlie gritted his teeth weakly. Let them think he was useless. Let them walk over him one more time.
But tomorrow… Tomorrow, everything changes.

The Legendary Miracle Doctor Returns: War God Chapter 135
Inside the fading data sea, Charlie stands alone. It does not look like the end at first. There is no fire, no collapse, no sudden darkness. The space around him thins instead, like fog lifting from water. What once felt endless now breaks apart in slow, drifting pieces. Light fractures into smaller lights. Sound loses its edges. The Genesis framework, once vast enough to hold cities of thought, begins to unravel with the quiet patience of something that knows its time is finished.Charlie does not move. He stands where he has stood since the first cascade began, feet planted on nothing solid, hands relaxed at his sides. He has learned that struggling here changes nothing. Genesis responds to intention, not force, and there is no intention left that can hold it together.Fragments drift past him. Not data anymore. Not code. Memories.A woman laughing, her voice bright and sharp as broken glass in sunlight. He recognizes it instantly, even before her face forms. Linda, years younger, s

The Legendary Miracle Doctor Returns: War God Chapter 134
The loss of Hana’s stabilizer does not announce itself with alarms or spectacle. It arrives quietly, like a pressure change in the air. Systems that once spoke to each other in perfect rhythm begin to hesitate. Signals arrive a fraction of a second late. Feedback loops stutter. The vast architecture of Genesis, so carefully layered and interlocked, starts to turn inward on itself.Charlie feels it before he sees it.The control chamber trembles, not with force but with imbalance. Light fractures along the walls, refracting through translucent panels that were never meant to flicker. Data streams once smooth and elegant now jitter, their patterns breaking into jagged bursts. Somewhere deep within the core, a harmonic fails to resolve, and the sound that follows is wrong. Too sharp. Too human.Hana’s stabilizer had been the final restraint. Not a lock, not a weapon, but a mediator. It kept Genesis from collapsing under the weight of its own recursion. Without it, the system does what al

The Legendary Miracle Doctor Returns: War God Chapter 133
The nanites stopped as if the world itself had drawn a breath and decided not to release it.Across cities and deserts, across oceans and mountain ranges, they froze in place, caught mid-task. In hospitals, in homes, in the quiet back corners of factories and schools, people staggered and fell. Some collapsed where they stood. Others slid slowly to the ground, hands grasping for something to hold that was no longer there. It was not pain that took them, not fear. It was absent. Thought itself slipped out from under them, leaving the body behind. For six minutes, the planet went silent. Not the kind of silence humans were used to. Not the hush of snowfall or the pause between thunderclaps. This was deeper. No whisper of neural traffic. No low hum of power grids. No background murmur of machines thinking alongside people. Satellites drifted without command. Screens went dark. Vehicles coasted to a stop and stayed there. Even the air seemed to hold still, as if unsure whether it should c

The Legendary Miracle Doctor Returns: War God Chapter 132
The chamber had gone quiet in the way only machines ever managed. Not silence exactly, but a steady, breath-like hum that pressed against the ears and made every thought feel louder than it should have been. Light flowed across the curved walls in slow pulses, the color shifting between pale blue and something warmer, almost gold. Charlie stood at the center of it all, hands braced against the console, feeling the weight of the link tug at the back of his skull like a low, constant ache. The mind-link had stabilized enough for him to stand, but not enough for him to trust it. Every time he focused too hard, memories that were not entirely his drifted to the surface. Faces without names. Cities he had never walked through. The sense of standing at the edge of a choice that had already been made. He had learned to breathe through it, to let the sensations pass without trying to pin them down. Control, he had learned the hard way, only made things worse.Hana moved around the outer ring

The simulation opens the way a wound does, without ceremony and without mercy.Charlie stands inside what looks like the last clean memory of Earth. A skyline stretches before him, familiar and wrong at the same time. Towers rise where oceans once breathed. Streets gleam as if polished by careful hands that no longer exist. The sky is too calm. No wind. No birds. Just a perfect blue that never changes, like a lie held too long.Genesis is collapsing around the edges, though it tries to hide it. Buildings stutter when he looks at them too closely. Shadows arrive a fraction of a second late. Gravity feels hesitant, as if it is waiting for permission.Voss appears at the center of the city without warning. Not walking. Not arriving. Simply there. He wears the face Charlie remembers, though it no longer belongs to a single body. The features are too symmetrical, the expression too still. The eyes reflect data streams instead of light.“You came all this way,” Voss says, his voice smooth a

The Legendary Miracle Doctor Returns: War God Chapter 130
The skydome shook long before the first sirens sounded. The tremor rolled through the lower levels like a held breath finally let go, rattling light fixtures and sending dust drifting from the ceiling panels. Raiden felt it through his boots as he stood in the operations bay, eyes fixed on a wall of feeds that kept stuttering, freezing, then correcting themselves as if embarrassed.“They’re closer than the models predicted,” he said, not turning around.Behind him, Linda was already moving. She crossed the room with the kind of speed that came from habit, not panic, fingers flying across a console that refused to obey. Every command she entered lagged by a fraction of a second. Every fraction mattered.“That’s because the models are lying now,” she replied. “Nanites are rewriting our predictive layers. Anything that thinks is compromised.”On the main display, the eastern perimeter cam snapped to a wide shot. A column of figures advanced across the salt flats, their silhouettes distor
