Chapter Four:

Jack headed straight for the car, his hand wrapped around Caroline's waist. As Jackson sat in the driver's seat of the expensive car, his hands trembled slightly with tension and excitement.

He had just divorced the woman he loved but who had betrayed him. In this moment, Caroline placed her hand on his trembling palm and said, "You've suffered a lot, my brother, but you'll come back stronger and teach everyone, including that woman, a lesson."

Jackson smiled strongly and said, "The heir has returned, my dear, and I will teach everyone a lesson, especially those who looked down on me."

"This is the grandson of the Harrison family, the powerful and best fighter in martial arts, Jackson Harrison," Caroline exclaimed as she embraced him once more, under the watchful eyes of Emma, who was still observing them before the car set off.

Caroline thought and said again, "But why did you hide your true identity from your wife and everyone, at a time when you could have worked anywhere just by mentioning your family name, you chose to struggle as a cake delivery boy and work for a small company, Jack."

Caroline waited for an answer, but Jackson didn't respond, and she knew he wouldn't answer. He had a plan and a story he wanted to execute. She knew who Jackson Harrison was – the strongest, the best, and the most capable. His pretense of weakness and poverty was just a way to achieve his goals and divert attention away from those around him.

"Come on, Caroline, let's go," Jack said, throwing a meaningful glance at Emma sitting next to Edward in the car.

"Let's go. My father and grandfather are waiting for you at the main company. They are all waiting to welcome the heir and your return."

"I'll join you after I submit my resignation, my dear. Now I'll head to the office, and you can go and tell them that I'm coming," Jackson replied.

Emma couldn't believe that Jackson was sitting behind the wheel of the most expensive car in the world. It was a far cry from the days when he worked as a delivery boy. Her heart burned, and jealousy flared within her. But Edward spoke, sensing what was going on in her mind as she stole glances at Jackson's car, "He's a talented actor, he thinks that's how he'll win you back."

Emma didn't deny that she had once loved Jackson, but his dire circumstances, failure to meet her needs, and his poverty had made her gradually hate his presence, especially as all her friends, including Victoria Stone, mocked him.

With difficulty, Emma spoke, "He always told me he couldn't drive, but it seems he's quite good at driving a car like this."

Jackson arrived at the office, and Caroline headed to Harrison's company, leaving Jack to resign from his old job with dignity and grace, rather than allowing others to undermine him.

Jackson entered his old office building, greeted with mockery and taunts from some of his wife's colleagues. He knew they must all be aware of his divorce, especially since his wife had entered into a new relationship less than 24 hours after their separation, but he chose to remain calm and composed, intending to make them see hell.

His colleagues, especially Daniel, were keen on mocking him and his family. Daniel said, "I feel sorry for you, Jackson. Your wife left you behind like a bag of garbage. And now, look, you've come to resign. Who does that? You must be feeling ashamed to be here among us."

Jackson refused to take the bait, quietly packing his belongings into a box and preparing to leave. But at that moment, an unexpected visitor interrupted him - the company's CEO, Eva Clark. Despite her high position, Eva had always been kind and supportive toward Jackson.

Eva looked at Jackson, who held the box and some papers, knowing that she had heard about Emma Carter leaving Jackson.

"Jackson, please come to my office," Eva said gently.

She was the only person who had treated him kindly, despite her knowledge of his poverty and struggles. She took Jackson aside and tried to understand his situation.

Jackson entered Eva's office behind her, holding the box after she closed the door. He looked at her, as she had always encouraged him and never mocked him.

"Please come and have a seat, Jackson. I know what happened to you and how you worked hard at two jobs for your wife."

Jackson remained steady and replied, "But in the end, she was unfaithful. I saw her having sex with another man for money and position."

They were in the middle of their conversation when Eva received a call from another executive, who refused the company contract and demanded a meeting.

Eva's face dropped, and she hurried out of the office to handle the crisis. Meanwhile, Jackson waited in the office, wondering what had happened to her.
