Chapter 35

DARREN POV

Darren headed to Grandma Lisa’s room to check on her and happened to overhear Nora telling her she was divorcing him.

He heard her cry as well, which was serious, and he had truly hurt her. He barely could hear what Grandma Lisa was saying to her, and it wouldn’t be proper if he went into the room when Nora was having a conversation with her.

Then he waited beside the door until she was done speaking to Grandma.

A few minutes later, Nora angrily stormed out of her room, and she hadn’t noticed Darren; probably she was too overwhelmed.

Darren popped his cheek, deflated it at the same time, and took out his hand from his pocket before he proceeded inside her room.

He met her sitting on the bed, and she looked better than he left her. The nap had truly helped, and that was enough to make him sigh in relief.

“Did you two plan on coming to see me one after the other?” Grandma Lisa cracked a smile, tapping the space beside her on the bed.

Darren got the signal and entered the room
