Chapter twenty four

Hours passed by.

He glanced at his watch as his hands kept typing on the keyboard, he was running late and would not make it in time for his soon to be ex wife’s birthday party, the thought of that brought a frown to his face. “Almost done” Rhys said to no one in particular as his fingers moved faster than earlier. Sweat appeared on his brows.

After a few minutes, he was done. He glanced at the information he had intercepted and decoded, a wry smile appeared on his face, and the pressure in the room dropped. “Thought you were pretty foxy huh. It’s game over for you Rafael.”

After a moment of silence, he checked up on Rio who was still asleep in the space after eating two boxes of chicken wings. Rhys was astonished by his appetite.

He turned off the laptop and stood up, glancing at the time once again. It was just a few minutes after seven. Malia’s birthday party had already begun but Rhys didn’t plan on showing up early. He had a good show planned in mind. He whispered to himself.
