In a non-existent space filled with darkness, Julian looked around in surprise as he couldn't understand how he had come here.

“Since you've appeared here, that means you have the qualifications to inherit my inheritance and experiences!”

A voice sounded, and immediately Julian turned sharply, searching for the source of the voice, but there was no one present.

“Who are you?” Julian asked, his eyes searching around the void.

“I am the greatest marital emperor of all time!” The voice echoed all around the void..

Julian was quite bewildered; the name was rather domineering. Besides, he had never heard of anyone with that title, but before he could ask further questions, he was jolted awake.

“Arghhhh!” Julian screamed, holding his head as a lot of information suddenly flooded into his mind. Medicine, and Martial arts, cultivation and so much more.

After a while, the pain subsided, and Julian looked around only to realize he was in the hospital. He was covered in so much sweat but what he was more concerned about was where he was.

As for how he got here, he had no idea. After all, he had passed out due to the intense pain of having his limbs broken and being beaten up by Logan's guards.

Raising his hands, Julian realized his broken limbs had all been miraculously fixed.

“Seemed like that was not a dream,” Julian muttered, closing his eyes to absorb the information in his mind.

After a while, Julian's eyes flashed open, and a smile spread across his face.

Not only was he imbued with the knowledge of martial arts, but there were also all kinds of ancient treatment methods in his mind.

All the lost techniques that were sought by physicians were now somehow in his mind. As much as it was shocking, he couldn't even doubt it as what he suddenly knew was a lot of information.

Julian now knew the human body like the back of his hand, and with just a glance, he could see through almost anyone's condition.

And with a flick of his finger, he would be able to treat them.

But that was not the terrifying thing. Above healing, he could also kill with needles.

He now knew the art of medicine more than he ever did in his life.

Taking in a huge breath, Julian sighed and sat up on the bed. There were no doctors in the ward at the moment; the only thing was the beeping machine monitoring his vitals.

Julian pulled away the wires and the drip connected to his veins and stood up.

He was fine now, so there was no need to stay at the hospital. Also, he needed to change out of the white garment he was clad in.

Furthermore, he was going to get a divorce. He would have gotten it, but since he was beaten until he lost consciousness, there was nothing he could do.

“Huh?” Julian suddenly froze, touching his neck, noticing his necklace was not there.

Instantly, he began to search for it, but it was nowhere to be found.

“Maybe it fell off when I was being rushed to the hospital,” Julian muttered, having no other choice but to give up since he couldn't find the necklace.

Without thinking, he stepped out of the ward, preparing to leave the hospital, when all of a sudden, he heard a yell.

“Doctors! Doctors!”

“There's an emergency at the Ward on the third floor; your attention is needed!”

A nurse was running around, panic written all over her face as she yelled for the doctors.

The moment she echoed out, most of the doctors rushed out of their offices and headed towards the third floor.

Seeing this, Julian looked around, and after giving it some thought, also headed to the third floor.

He might as well take a look at what was happening. Now that he had medical knowledge, he could also try it out.

Though he knew this was impossible, Julian still went to the third floor.

Getting to the third floor, everywhere was silent. About five doctors all moved hurriedly towards a particular ward.

Seeing this, Julian followed quietly and soon got into the ward alongside the doctors.

Maybe, perhaps, because everyone was in a panic, or maybe he was just being deliberately ignored, no one said anything.

Inside the ward was a bed, and lying on it was an old man who had an oxygen mask on.

A drip connected to his hands and there was a machine monitoring his vitals, which were going wild at the moment.

At the left side of the bed was a male figure in his early fourties standing beside the man and staring at the doctors as they did their jobs trying to stabilize the old man.

Julian, who was watching from a corner, shook his head. He had already seen through the condition of the old man and could tell the cause of his deteriorating health yet he was being given the wrong treatment.

He should have said something but even if he did, they wouldn't believe him, so he just kept watching.

After a while of trying to stabilize the old man's condition, the doctors stopped and shook their heads, glancing at each other.

“Mr. Brown, I'm afraid we can't do anything this time.” The oldest of the doctors, who also seemed to be the head, stepped forward.

“We are sorry,” he apologized.

The man, on the other hand, glanced at the group of doctors for a moment, and after a while, he spoke.

“I'll give you ten million if you can keep my father alive for the next few days.”

“Sir, we are truly sorry, but this is not something we can do.” The doctor shook his head, trying to explain to the man.

“Twenty million!” Lucien offered instantly, not ready to listen to the doctor.

“But…”

“Thirty million,” Lucien directly cut off the man and increased the price.

“Mr. Brown, you should understand this is something money cannot solve. I hope you can start to prepare for the old man's funeral as soon as you can,” the doctor sighed, trying to advise Lucien.

Julian, who was standing by the side, had his jaw dropped to the floor. Thirty million just to keep the man alive for a few days? He could treat the old man; wouldn't that mean Lucien would double the money?

“Forty million,” Lucien kept increasing the price as all he cared about was keeping his father alive even if for a few days.

The doctors sighed in dismay. Though they were tempted, they were really helpless.

“Sir, please…”

“Hundred Million…” Lucien directly doubled the amount this time.

“Sir..."

“I can treat the old man,” Julian, who couldn't take it anymore, interrupted the doctor and walked out of his hiding spot.

“Thank you.” Julian smiled, touched by her gestures, before he sat down on the chair. He looked back at her and wanted to start the discussion when she suddenly bowed to him, not only startling him but also making his jaw drop.“I am so sorry for putting you through all that. It was never my intention. I don't know how to properly apologize to you, but I mean this…I am deeply sorry, Julian.” She said, sounding so depressed and pained, but for his sake?“Come on, Brittany, none of it was your fault. I never blamed you or even thought of it. At least, I was able to help so you guys could see who the enemy actually is.”Julian quickly spoke as he saw no reason why she was bowing to him. He did what he did out of good intentions but nothing else. For the little time he had known her now, he could tell she was far better than her other family members. “But…” Brittany bit her lips. Regardless of how he might say it, she had felt guilty about it, and it couldn't be helped.“If you want to

The morning light filtered through the windows, piercing into Julian's eyes and forcing him to wake up. He sighed and stretched before rubbing his eyes. His eyes then wandered off to the alarm clock on the bedside cupboard, and he gasped.“It's 9? Damn it! I slept for so long!”Even though he didn't have a busy schedule today, he didn't expect to wake up so late. He had places to go, such as goddamn properties to meet Brittany. Not for her grandfather's condition, as he knew that as long as they took his medications seriously, he was going to heal in no time. Instead, what he wanted was to discuss the construction of the clinic with her, how much it would cost, and how long it would take for it to be completed. He aimed to have it completed within a month. He was running low on money, so he wanted everything set up so he could begin as soon as possible. He had such great ambition, so he wasn't supposed to sleep off like he didn't. • What a day indeed

Vroom! The sound of Julian's car engine blared into the air, sounding more like music as it announced itself, unlike most cars that gave off noise pollution. As he was about to pull over to his garage, he noticed someone seated in front of his house. It was a female. She had her head resting in her chin, seemingly lost in thought as she waited. But for whom? Julian?Julian's eyes narrowed as a deep frown emerged on his face. He felt the urge to drop by and drag that woman off his house but decided to park his car first. The garage door was automatic. As soon as his car arrived, it opened itself, and Julian drove in and parked.By the time he was back, the figure was up already and had walked to the edge of the garage, waiting for him to come out. As soon as he did, she immediately flew into his arms, making sure her cleavage was exposed, and surprisingly, she was dressed in a skimpy gown like she was going to a party.“Ooh Julian, I have missed you so much!”“What are you doing here

“Failed, huh? I knew you were so incompetent and so unfit for the task. Master should have sent me instead, and I would have done it so perfectly!” Veyron used the medium to his advantage and was taking pleasure in it.“You will never be welcome back here if you can't do such a simple task. Or tell me, did your brain become so old and rusty after working for the Brown family for so long?” He added, smiling.Henry was boiling in so much anger, but rather than cursing at him, he was cursing at Julian instead for making things turn out this way for him.“So, who bought the land instead?” Lu Tian asked, sounding curious.“I am sure anyone would have been so scared to intervene if they knew the Lu clan wanted that piece of land,” Karl spoke with a hand on his chin as he thought through the situation.“Or maybe we have gotten ourselves a tough opponent,” Xavian said next, giving out speculation.“Why don't we let Henry answer the question so we can know the reason he failed so miserably?” V
