Chapter 005

The guests froze to check who was yelling and even though they feared him individually, they started yelling back at him collectively demanding for explanation of what they were seeing on screen.

Antonio was full of emotion; he finally met the man that caused the death of his parents, a power hungry tyrant. He saw the pain in his eyes as he watched the big screen and that is exactly what he wanted him to feel.

He knows people like this value reputation more than their own life, that is why he vows to take everything that belongs to him, everything he has built by trampling on others, he is coming for everything.

Sylvester Mahone stood there embarrassed,he had never been in such a situation in his life, he turned a deadly glare towards his son seeking explanation on how things get messy under his watch. But he was busy trying to do damage control.

Alex's voice cracked. “those footage are fake, they are completely made up”

But he only looks foolish in front of the audience, as the incidence is already trending on social media.

He turned to look at Antonio only to see him already walking off the hall.

Alex screamed on top of his voice” you will regret this! No one has ever mess with the Sylvesters and survive”

Antonio laughed awkwardly before glaring back at him “ we’ll see to that, but for now, help your father, he has fainted and the investors don't seem to care as they have something else to worry about.

Alex thought he was blabbing until he looked in the direction of his father, laying on the floor unconscious.

A week had passed and Antonio has been reflecting on his last execution at the sylvesters gala, he was so pleased with the way everything played out that he reward every single person that took part to make it a success two million dollars each, even though they were all his staff except the event manager, he still make sure to reward them.

The event manager didn’t want a reward, she was easy to convince because she was a victim of Sylvesters cruelty. Her cousin got a complication that led to death due to using one of their fake products so she took the perfect opportunity to strike them.

Antonio still made sure to reward her greatness and provide her safety just in case they wanted to attack her for telling the truth.

Meghan has started life at the restaurant space he bought for her, they’ve both gone on a few dates in the past week but Meghan still has a lot of questions for Antonio. She wants to get to know him more, how he got here and what he is up to.

Antonio doesn’t want her to worry too much, he plans to reveal everything to her later but for now he wants to focus on his mission while making her happy.

Antonio's plans to make her rise through stardom in the business world is already in place. He knows her dream is much bigger than running a restaurant even though she is more than happy to own one.

Disrupting Richard and Jennifer's wedding plan was next on the line, he has confirmed their wedding date from the management at Radisson even though they’re yet to make it public.

Something else comes up; A high school reunion invitation.

“I’m sure Jennifer must have set this up, that arrogant girl” Meghan said as she skimmed through the school group they got added to.

Antonio chuckled” I understand what they are trying to do, and this will be fun”

“nothing is fun about it Antonio, we don’t have to compete with those people as they love to oppress”

“we will attend the reunion, goodluck trying their best to oppress me” Antonio replied, a fun smile playing at the corner of his lips.

Meghan shook her head in disagreement “ Antonio I know you have been trying, I know you come back to set things right, and I know you have been spending your military grant to make us happy.

But you can’t compete with Richard and Jeniffer as they are from a business mogul family.” She paused, looked straight into his eyes and continued. “if what Mr Benjamin said is true, the wedding at Radisson is no small feat, not up to thirty families could afford that in whole of kingstonian”

Antonio laughed as he watched her innocent face. “This Radisson you are talking about doesn’t fall from heaven, one person owns it”

“But it is not us” she replied

“What if it is”

“Antonio, let's be serious, I will only attend the reunion if you promise to ignore them. I just don’t want trouble for you that’s why”

He looks at her once again and smiles, only if she knows what and what he is capable of doing, but he still decides to play along.

“I have heard you, but just know that Radisson lounge is nothing, we can have our wedding there if you’re ready” Antonio replied.

Meghan laughs off his joke as they prepare to go get what to wear to the reunion, but she doesn't realize he means every word. The Almighty General could afford anything.

Jenifer placed a tower of crystal roses on the reunion banquet table. “I am sure this will cost more than those two peasant attires”

Of course that is specially made by Rodriguez la Cruz from Puerto Rico, one million dollars, way above their league. “Richard added”

They both laughed.

Everyone was settled and was waiting for the odd ones.

And just in time, Antonio and Meghan stepped from across the room through the entrance. Meghan on an elegant silver gown Antonio got him which made everyone steal glances. Antonio was however dressed in a casual plain tee and jeans, no designer tag, no jewelry.

Jennifer was quick to comment” well look at that, here comes kingstonian royal peasants”

“Looks like our dear Antonio borrowed a loan to make his little clingy Meghan look like she belongs here, well good luck repaying the loan” Eden mocked, one of the brat in high school who likes siding with Richard.

“Heard his family is bad in repaying debt” Richard added

Antonio held his hand into fist, red boiling with anger. “Richard this will be first and last warning, you can say all you want about me, but don’t dare talk down on my family”

Meghan held his hand underneath the chair and tried to calm him down; he knows how much Antonio values his family and was only holding back because he promised her.

“And if not, what will you do?” Richard hit back. “I only let you go at your house that day because I wasn’t in the mood and pitied you, but if you mess up now it will be a different story.

Antonio laughs, as he remembers the last encounter at his family house when he first arrived. His bodyguard only gave him two punches and he loses consciousness, he wonders what will become his fate if a General hits him.

“Can we please refrain from talking ill of anyone’s family, we are not kid anymore” Meghan pleaded

Jasmine, one of the spoilt brat in high school was quick to add her take “you don’t tell us what to do also, since we are adults, focus on enjoying the reunion, it doesn’t come everyday”

Jennifer quickly calms the tension, because she can’t wait to unleash the real harassment plans she has for Antonio and Meghan. “Let's get down to what brought us here, let’s have fun. I and Richard got an announcement for you later”

“Cheers to that”

“Yes our king and Queen”

“Can’t wait”

“now let’s party hard”

And so, the moment they’ve all been waiting for has arrived, time for order drinks.

This is the moment they use to measure monetary achievement and capabilities.

“You don’t need to overthink it, Antonio, you can always make do with the default drink provided for the reunion, it's on your table, basic and cheap just as you are” Richard mocked.

Orders started rolling in

“two bottles of baroncruzer” Richard ordered

“wow, isn’t that worth $4m per bottle, Richard has good taste for luxury”

They all start hailing Richard

Eden ordered two bottles of la dron exclusive wine worth $2m

Jasmine ordered $1m worth, and the rest follows.

All eyes on Antonio now, they can’t wait to oppress and make him feel left out as usual.

Antonio sited calmly was unbothered, he already predicted this scenarios and he is fully ready for them.

Meghan misread his expression as feeling bothered , she concluded that he already goes out of his way using all his military grant to buy a building to protect her and also spent on his family, and shouldn’t be going through this now.

She touched Antonio hand “My dear, we don’t have to stay”

“We do,” he said softly.

Richard look at the two and laugh awkwardly “your peasant boyfriend is humbled now, tell him to be more humble and we might as well give him a few leftover drops just to have a taste”

“I am very sure he has never tasted any drink worth more than $5, else he steal it or retrieve it from leftovers” jasmine added

Jenifer clears her throat and look in his direction “why is our poor Antonio not talking, I thought you’re always outspoken, feeling oppressed by wealth?”

“Because action speaks louder than words!” Antonio hit back, which startled them, he then snapped his finger.

And right there, from the left side of the hall, a grand entry from the top staff, in their special attire and stunt performance as they brought the 1898 premium chateau lafite blanc. One of world most expensive and sort after wine costing Ten million dollars.
