Chapter 161: D-Day

The D-day arrived like any other day, with the sun shining brilliantly in the sky.

Derek got up early enough to exercise and have coffee. He sat locked in his study all morning, getting into the right frame of mind.

By noon, Thomas came to announce he was leaving for Dominic's.

"Stay safe, Boss. We're celebrating together at that party!" Thomas said and left.

Derek nodded, then turned to Benson. "Go in and start briefing the men, we have less than 3 hours left. No one is allowed to come in or leave the mansion without my permission from this moment on!"

"Yes, Boss." Benson bowed.

Just as he left, Jack arrived, saluting Derek with respect. "It's good to see you, Boss. The day is finally here, let's give it all we've got!"

"Of course, we will." Derek had always loved Jack's fierce but principled approach to situations. "Benson is already inside addressing the men, please join in, making sure to reiterate the most important details."

"Roger that!" Jack saluted again and left.
