Chapter 1

"Hurry up already, Storm! Go fetch the vegetables from the farm land!" An elderly man voiced hastily, and a teenage boy rushed out from his room all dressed in his brown jacket and brown pants. A black plastic bag was held in his hand, and a silver bracelet around his wrist.

"Sorry for the delay, grandpa." Storm apologised as he laced his boots.

"Be back before evening because I still need you for some other things around here, Storm." Grandpa Sikes, instructed.

"Understood." Storm affirmed by nodding hus head before dashing out from the house and heading towards the farm. Grandpa Sikes stood there and watched Storm run joyfully through the street, and a smile appeared on his face.

Despite the humiliation and tantrums he faced because he was born into the world as a human, he still managed to remain cheerful.

The current world now regards humans as weak and useless..people that shouldn't be a part of the world. While the mythical creatures like Orcs, dragons, elves, dwarfs, reigned supreme.

Storm Walker, a boy from the family whose lineage was weak dwarves, came into the world as a mere human. Day in and day out he got bullied by other mighty creatures just because he was weak.

Storm and his grandpa were chased from their usual habitat and were forced to move to a tattered room in a deserted area. And as if that wasn't enough, a group of Orcs would often come in every day and request tribute money or else they would be killed.

Grandpa Sikes was a weak dwarf, and Storm is an average human and wasn't strong enough to fight back, so they had no choice but to work hard daily in their small farm land and pay the tribute money.

Storm arrived in the farm land that was mostly covered with trees, grass, and vegetables. Storm glanced around the place before picking up a cutlass to get to work.

He cut some sets of fresh vegetables and placed them in the plastic bag, and after two hours of working, he finally filled up the bag.

"Phew..time to rest before I go sell half of it to Mr. Romans. After that i'll head home." Storm muttered to himself as he walked towards a huge fallen tree branch and sat on it.

Storm took out a loaf of bread and a bottle of water and began to eat hungrily. He only got to eat once a day, but if sales were good he would eat at least twice. The bread and water was today's meal, but if he gets lucky and Mr. Romans buys the vegetable, then he gets a hot meal at night.

While Storm was busy munching down on the bread, three boys and a girl around his age appeared in his location and began to walk towards him. Catching a glimpse of the group, Strom's expression became frightful and he rose up from where he sat.

"What do we have here? The weak human trash all alone in a forest like this." One of the boys with long red hair spoke as he stood directly in front of Storm. The boy's name was Flare, and he was a half dragon.

Half-dragon are creatures who are unable to morph into a full dragon, but are able to breathe out fire and make scales appear in their body. While full dragons could transform into a full mighty dragon.

"T-this isn't a forest. I-i-it's my grandfather's farm land." Storm informed in a shaky tone and his head facing the floor in fear.

"Farm land? Well, too bad. My father sent me here to burn down the trees and weeds around here to make it neat. He plans to build a dojo here." Flare snorted with a mischievous smirk.

"No! You can't do that!" Storm voiced after hearing the words of Flare.

"What did you just say?" A plump-looking boy who stood behind Flare questioned.

Storm fell down on his knees and grabbed Flare's legs.

"Please! This is our only source of income! If you set it ablaze, we will starve to death." Storm pleaded with tears gathering up in his eyes.

Flare glanced at Storm for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter.

"If you starve to death so what? You humans aren't privileged to be alive after all." Flare voiced while looking down on Storm. "Now, get the fuck off me!" Flare then kicked Storm to the side and walked forward.

"Guys, burn down this place!" Flare ordered as he took a deep breath in and was about to breath out fire from his mouth, but Strom shoved him to the floor.

"I can't let you burn down this place! You will have to go through me first!" Storm voiced, clenching his right fist and punched Flare across the face.

Storm pulled his fist backwards once more and attempted to hit Flare, but the plump dude grabbed him from behind and held his two arms.

"You damn human runt! You dare lay your filthy hands on me! You are dead meat!" Flare roared as he picked himself off the floor and walked towards Strom who was held down by his minions.

"Let me go!" Storm struggled to break free, but the plump boy was an Orc and his strength was greater than Storm's.

"Hold him still!" Flare ordered, and the minion did as he was told. Flare then clenched his right fist tightly and red flames formed around it before punching Storm hard on his belly.

The punch connected neatly, causing Storm's jacket to burn slightly and he coughed up saliva. The lady amongst the group squinted her eyes as she knew what type of pain Storm would be feeling right now.

Flare pulled his fist backwards again and sent out a punch to Strom's chest. This time, Storm's chest area burnt and he coughed up blood.

"You die here today!" Flare roared, retrieving his fist and attempted to strike Storm once more.

"Flare, that's enough!" The lady known as Karina voiced as she rushed forward. She couldn't take it anymore. Just like Flare, Karina also had red long hair. It was evident that the duo were siblings.

"Stay out of this Karina!" Flare spoke in anger before shifting his gaze back to Storm who was barely conscious.

"If you hit him one more time he might die!" Karina cautioned with a worrisome look.

"My aim here is to kill him!" Flare responded nonchalantly.

"No, your aim here is to burn down this place like father asked..and i suggest you get on with it." Karina interjected.

Flare glanced at her for several seconds before shrugging his shoulder and instructed his minion to let go of Storm. Storm fell down to the floor and was at the verge of passing out.

"Watch how i burn down this place!" Flare gloated as he took a deep breath in before breathing out a mighty ball of fire that went forth and began to burn down the trees and vegetables, and all Storm could do was lay there and watch.
