After a full day of exhausting running, Luo Xiang sat cross-legged in the courtyard of his own residence, inspecting the damage to his shattered dantian.
Meanwhile, Han Fei, bruised and beaten, had returned to his quarters. Ashamed of his defeat by Luo Xiang, the second young master of the Han Clan reported the incident to his older brother, Han Lu.
"Brother, aren’t you going to teach him a lesson?!" Han Fei protested, disappointed by his brother's indifference.
"Foolish brat. He can’t cultivate, so what are you so afraid of? And what happened to your face? You look like a pig," Han Lu said flatly, though clearly surprised.
A sly smile crept across Han Fei’s lips as he tried to provoke his brother further.
"Brother... he used poison powder to cheat. That’s the only reason he beat me!"
Han Lu's eyes narrowed. Though Han Fei was only at the early third-star Dao stage, even poison shouldn’t have left him this battered.
"Are you sure he cheated?" Han Lu’s voice turned cold.
Seeing that his provocation worked, Han Fei continued to fuel his brother’s anger.
After inspecting his ruined dantian, Luo Xiang sighed deeply. To heal it, he needed three rare ingredients, each unimaginably expensive—perhaps even costing a life to obtain.
"How am I supposed to find Divine Leaf Root, Heaven's Tear, and Eternal Ginseng in this continent?" Luo Xiang muttered.
As he despaired over the impossible ingredients, two figures appeared: Han Fei and Han Lu, along with their entourage, approaching Luo Xiang’s home.
"Trash! Look, I brought my brother! Are you ready to kneel and beg for forgiveness?!" Han Fei shouted arrogantly.
"Beg for forgiveness? You think I’d do that?" Luo Xiang replied, narrowing his eyes at Han Lu.
Why can’t I access this body's memories? Luo Xiang thought, puzzled.
"Do you remember how I crippled you once? Now that you’re healed, is that why you dared bully my little brother?" Han Lu asked, calm but with a piercing gaze.
"So, he’s the one who injured this body..." Luo Xiang muttered, becoming more alert.
"Why so silent? Are you scared I’ll cripple you again?" Han Lu mocked, his tone turning colder.
"Hahahaha... I hate being called trash. Even if you bring those moldy elders with you, I wouldn't hesitate to kill you all," Luo Xiang taunted.
"You bastard! You’re asking for death!"
Swuuuush!
Hot-tempered, Han Lu launched a qi-infused palm strike toward Luo Xiang. Just as Luo Xiang prepared to dodge, Luo Lan appeared and deflected the attack with a single finger.
Baaams!
The burst of qi energy spread through the courtyard as Luo Lan stood in front of her son.
"Are you alright, son?" she asked, then glared fiercely at the Han entourage.
"I’m fine, Mother," Luo Xiang replied.
She nodded but turned her sharp gaze toward the elders.
"Did you come to the Luo Clan just to bully my child?!" she said coldly.
"Tch! You rotten hag! If you have the guts, fight us! Stay out of the younger generation's business!"
One of the elders flew up and stopped just in front of Luo Lan. She smiled thinly.
Swuuuung!
"If you had come with good intentions, I would have welcomed you warmly. But now, I remember your young master once harmed my son! Leave. Now!"
A powerful energy surged from Luo Lan’s body. Sensing the Dao Ling fifth-star cultivation level, the Han elders shuddered.
"D-damn... Even together, we can’t defeat a Dao Ling expert!" one elder whispered.
"Tch! Useless trash..." Han Lu scoffed.
While the elders cowered before Luo Lan’s cultivation, Shen Luo Xiang grew concerned. If she used her Qi carelessly, the poison in her body could erupt.
"Mother, please calm down. I know my limits," Shen Luo Xiang whispered.
"Leave now! If I see any of you in Luo territory again, I’ll kill you myself," Luo Lan threatened.
"Tch! If the clan patriarch were here, would you still act so high and mighty?" Han Lu sneered before turning away.
Just as they were about to leave, Luo Xiang called out:
"Wait!"
Han Lu turned, a sly grin forming.
"Going to hide behind your mother again?" he mocked.
"HAHA! Of course not. I want to challenge you to a duel... one month from now!"
Han Lu and his group burst into laughter. Luo Lan, however, was alarmed.
"Are you kidding, son? You can’t even cultivate! Maybe you got lucky against Han Fei, but Han Lu is at the Dao Core fifth-star level!"
"Don’t worry, Mother."
"Fine! I accept your challenge! Come to the Han Clan. I’ll welcome you properly," Han Lu sneered.
"But remember—don’t expect to hide behind your mother during our fight."
Before Luo Xiang could respond, Luo Lan dragged him into the house.
Once inside the living room, she tried to reason with him.
"Are you sure about this, son?"
"Mother... I want to try. Please give me your blessing to train outside the clan."
"But with your condition..." Luo Lan hesitated.
Before she could continue, a familiar voice interrupted.
"Laner... If this is truly his wish, then fate will surely offer a path. Don’t worry."
"Father, but—"
Swuuuush!
An old man appeared, stroking his long beard. From his mysterious entrance, Luo Xiang was certain this grandfather was a powerful cultivator in the Heavenly Continent.
"Grandfather..." both Luo Xiang and Luo Lan greeted him.
"Enough. Sooner or later, Xiang’er must carry on your and his father's legacy. Will you really hold him back?" Luo Jin asked.
"Very well... I approve. Xiang’er, go prepare your things."
Luo Xiang nodded and returned to his room to pack.
As he finished, he overheard part of a conversation between his mother and grandfather.
"Grandfather, I still haven’t found any trace of Xiang’er’s father. Do you have any clues?"
"It may have been the Dark Army... but nothing is certain."
Luo Xiang was shocked. In his past life, the Dark Army had fought alongside the Sky Forces to destroy demons.
"Then the Luo Clan must be a powerful family. The original owner’s father must have been a respected figure..." Shen Luo Xiang thought. With no access to the original body’s memories, he knew he had much to learn on his journey.
"Tch... I can’t be selfish and chase only my revenge. I need to understand what this body’s purpose truly is..." he muttered, then stepped out of his room.

Realizing who the informant was, Luo Xiang let out a soft chuckle. In his mind, the Star God had no reason to do something so foolish.Still, he felt grateful—because the information the Star God gave him marked the beginning of his journey back to godhood."Let’s go back..." Bai suddenly lost interest in fighting over the Phoenix Flame amidst the thousands of cultivators struggling for it.Hearing this, Luo Xiang nodded, understanding Bai’s concerns."Yier, will you follow your master’s request?" Luo Xiang asked seriously."What is it, Master?""Even though the Star Steps can strengthen your physical training, in the current situation, fighting over the Phoenix Flame will surely result in a terrible bloodbath... So, I ask that you return to the Luo Clan with Senior Bai.""No. I want to stay and protect you..."Luo Xiang gently shook his head while brushing Hong Yi’s soft hair."Trust your master."Bai, who had lost interest, suddenly changed his mind. Hong Yi nodded, now fully understanding his master’s explanation. This was evident from the close-combat training he had never done before—except with his teacher.A few days later, Bai had grown quite close to Hong Yi after some casual conversations. During a rest period while they were gathering Qi energy, Luo Xiang sensed several auras approaching."Can you feel it?" Bai asked, unfazed by the group that was about to stop right above them in the sky."Yeah... but I don't care either," Luo Xiang replied, glancing at Hong Yi who was trying to suppress the poisonous aura from her body."I expected this… You’re actually quite a genius to grasp what’s usually difficult for ordinary cultivators.”He looked at her proudly—until suddenly, his gaze was drawn upward after hearing a sharp screech from a silver-winged eagle above.“Fools who seek death never seem to run out...” Luo Xiang muttered.Swuuuush!
