3. Outbreak of Anger

Clarita noticed the change in expression on Felix's face, which made her look up at him and ask, "Is there anything I should do to get them out of your sight, Mr. Felix?"

Felix smiled slightly. "No need, just leave it alone."

Felix said that only because he didn't want Clarita to be bothered by his troubles, even though he was actually very disturbed by their arrival.

Reynard and Anne soon arrived at the table Felix was at, both looking at Felix with a condescending look in their eyes right after.

"Well, what is this? It hasn't been long since you broke up with Anne, and now you're already dating another woman? This is the first time I've ever been amazed by a loser like you," said Reynard.

Felix stood up from his seat, glaring at Reynard, who was now right in front of him.

"Loser, how dare you stare at my boyfriend like that?" asked Anne unhappily.

Felix glanced at Anne for a moment. He let out a long sigh because, as far as he remembered, Anne was not this type of girl.

"I'm trying not to think too much about what you've done, but seeing as you even bothered to approach me like this, it seems impossible for me to do," said Felix.

Reynard laughed quite loudly at this, after which he said, "Are you angry that your girlfriend turned her back on you? Do something then; I want to see what a loser like you can do to get back at me."

"Right, you're just a loser. How sad that for the past few months I've had to date a guy like you," Anne replied.

Felix glanced back at Anne, then said, "Can I know why you're willing to be my girlfriend if you think it's pathetic?"

Anne smiled sarcastically as she said, "It was just a bet my friends and I made, dating a loser like you to make you happy before dumping you to make you miserable, and it worked."

"See, loser? Anne said it herself: She never really thought of you as her boyfriend, so don't blame me too much for dating her."

Felix was silent for a moment. He took a deep breath before exhaling slowly. "You guys are a match, then, one woman who likes to play with people's feelings while the other is a man who likes to take what belongs to others. I hope your relationship lasts a long time."

Reynard and Anne smiled widely, satisfied at the disappointment that now appeared on Felix's face.

"Sure, besides, why don't you introduce us to the woman you're with?" asked Reynard, his eyes occasionally glancing at Clarita with admiration.

Felix, realizing this, immediately said, "No need; just go ahead and give us some space to chat."

Reynard raised his eyebrows. He was quite surprised that Felix dared to refuse his request.

"Hey, girl. Why don't you come have some fun with us instead of this loser?" Reynard asked Clarita confidently.

"That's right, I'm telling you that the guy you're with is just a poor loser. You better leave him soon before you regret it like I did," said Anne.

Clarita, who had listened to their conversation from the beginning, certainly began to understand the situation. One thing Reynard and Anne seemed to have misunderstood was Felix's relationship with her.

"Having fun? Sorry, I have no desire to do that with people like you," Clarita said indifferently.

Reynard took offense to this, feeling that everything about him was much better than Felix.

"What? Do you even know who I am?" asked Reynard, thinking Clarita dared to say that just because she didn't know who he was.

"You are Reynard of the Filbert family, right? If so, get out of here. Because even the Filbert family won't be able to take the consequences if you keep bothering us," Clarita said, pointing to the exit.

Clarita had been keeping an eye on Felix's university life for a long time since Felix left home, and it was this Reynard that she knew most often bothered Felix simply because of the poor life he was forced to live.

Hearing Clarita's words, Reynard was surprised, but not for long. His anger was greater because the woman in front of him dared to underestimate his family.

"Damn it, who do you think you are daring to underestimate the Filbert family?" said Reynard, his hand already raised to do something to Clarita.

Felix's emotions, which he had been trying to contain, immediately broke out at the sight of what Reynard wanted to do to Clarita.

Buaghhh!!!

Felix unhesitatingly punched Reynard right in the face, knocking Reynard down from the force of the blow.

What Felix did brought shock, not only to Reynard and Anne but to many people in the cafe as well.

Most of the people who came to the café were Aberforth university students, all of whom recognized Reynard, who had just been knocked down by Felix as a descendant of the Filbert family who should not be offended.

"Hey, wasn't the one who just hit Reynard that loser Felix? Has he gone crazy? How dare he do that when the Filbert family could destroy his life at any moment?"

"Haha, that's called stupidity. Let's just watch the show; won't it be fun to see how that loser gets his comeuppance?"

Conversations about what Felix had just done instantly filled the café, most of them containing condescending remarks about Felix, whom they considered to be ignorant.

Felix could only clench his fists tightly; in the end, none of the talk stopped him from doing what he wanted to do, especially after what Reynard had done to him so far.

"Damn it, you know what will happen to you after daring to do this, right?" asked Reynard, trying to get up with the help of a worried Anne.

"I know, that's why I'm going to keep doing it," said Felix, who no longer cared, feeling that even one or dozens of blows were not worth what Reynard had done.

Felix went straight for Reynard, who had just gotten back to his feet, hitting him once more to keep him on the floor.

Anne tried to move away when Felix did that, not wanting to get hurt like Reynard was now.

Felix seemed to lose control of himself when he did it all, from the bench to the glass or even the plate he tried to use to hit Reynard.

Everyone in the café was petrified by it all; they didn't dare to help Reynard, who seemed to be trying to protect himself from Felix's attack, but to no avail.

"Isn't it fun? Treating me like I'm worthless trash is always fun for you to do?" asked Felix in front of Reynard's face, who could only grimace in pain.

Reynard had never looked good in Felix's eyes. Not only did he snatch Anne, Reynard had also been bullying him for the past three years for no reason, so it could be said that everything Felix was doing was a form of outburst of all his anger that he kept trying to suppress.

Not to mention, how Reynard treated him also reminded Felix of how his extended family had treated him all this time, and Felix really hated this.

"Get over your annoying behavior and stop bothering me," Felix said, leaving the battered Reynard lying on the floor.

Felix himself immediately approached one of the café waitresses, who was frightened to see what Felix had just done.

"Use this to replace everything I've destroyed," Felix said, holding up the black card in his hand.

Seeing the black card in Felix's hand, many people in the cafe were shocked. They wondered how a notoriously poor loser like Felix could have something that not everyone could have.

Among all of them, Anne was the most surprised to see this.

"He's... isn't he just a poor guy?" she murmured questioningly. Anne remembered that when she was still dating Felix, just to take her out, Felix had to raise money first by doing a lot of part-time jobs.

Felix himself didn't think too much about how people at his university would see him after this; his mind was more on Clarita, who might be surprised at what he had just done.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to do something like this in front of you," Felix said as he approached Clarita.

"There's no need to apologize; I understand the last three years must have been really difficult for you," Clarita said as she patted Felix's shoulder several times, trying to calm him down.

As Dalbert Garvin's assistant, Clarita knew all too well how the heir to his boss lived his life. At home or after leaving the house was no different, as if Felix wasn't destined to be happy.

"I will see to it that all of Mr. Dalbert's estate goes to you, Mr. Felix," Clarita murmured with determination.
