Chapter 18

 

 

  Dusting his palms of non existent dust,George turned to face the crowd only to see multiple scared faces looking at him in fear. Smirking he looked at them only for Colonel Glenn to come to his side.

 

  “Boss,we need to give them a reason to believe why what you did is right. Or else there might be situations of distrust and disbelief among them." 

 

  "Hmm, that's true.”

 

  Nodding his head,George turned towards the crowd who flinched at his face clearly afraid.

 

  The hell, he just burnt three people alive!

 

  To a crisp too!

 

  Clearing his throat he began;" I know that I might appear as someone who doesn't appreciate human life. But you're mistaken! Those I killed are the accomplices of the monster.”

  

Pausing, he looked at the faces staring at him.

 

"They are the easiest link that the monster will use to enter your midst before killing you all!”

 

  “I saved you guys and to prove it I'll have that monster in human form executed before you all!"

 

" Men bring that monster here to receive his punishment!”

 

“Yes sir!”

 

  With his yell,two soldiers left their ranks and filed towards Ethan's side. Each taking one arm they were just about to lift him up when they noticed something strange.

 

They couldn't lift him!

 

   They huffed and puffed yet he didn't budge from the position he was kneeling in. It was as if he was an old tree standing rooted in a spot.

 

Right then, Colonel Glenn came next to them with a furious expression.

 

  “What the hell are you guys doing?! The boss asked you to get someone and you are standing here like idiots!”

 

“Bo-boss we tried to do what you asked but he's not budging at all.”

 

  “What do you mean by he's not moving at all. Is it everything that I have to teach you.”

 

Frowning, Colonel Glenn shoved the two of them out of the way before making his way to Ethan's side.

 

  “I'll only say this once,stand up and follow me to receive your punishment monster or else I'll hit you hard!”

 

  Seeing that there was no reply he raised the AK-47 in his hand pointed the butt at Ethan's head and was about to hit him only for him to freeze as a groan leaked out of his lips.

 

  “Impossible!”

 

  “It hurt's.”

 

  Staring down below,his eyes couldn't help but widen because right there in his stomach a metal rebar was firmly lodged in him before jutting out of his back.

 

   The next moment,the metal rebar was removed out of his stomach causing blood to spray out of the wound. 

 

Then he simply fell to the ground dead.

 

“Hah!" 

 

“Wha---what!" 

 

  “How did he move?!”

 

  The moment Colonel Glenn fell to the ground an uproar rushed through the crowd.

  The two soldiers that were there initially had fearful expressions etched on their faces now. They were about to run only to find Ethan standing in front of them.

 

  “What are you trying to do?”

 

  One of the soldiers asked fearfully while retreating, however he would never get the answer to his question as in the next moment…..

 

 The metal rebar pierced through him before coming out of his back.

   Till he died, he didn't even know how Ethan was able to move so fast.

 

   Tearing his gaze away from the now dead soldier, Ethan removed the metal rebar from his body causing him to fall to the ground before staring at the last one.

 

  “You're next!" 

 

  He had raised the metal rebar to kill the last soldier when he suddenly felt something dangerous coming from his side,without hesitation,he hurried back some steps.

 

  WHOOSH!

 

A pillar of flames blasted the position he was standing in earlier turning the place into a waste of rocks and melted tar. Looking at the destruction caused,his heart beat more violently than before. Luckily he had dodged quickly or else…

 

   “So you really are a monster, huh?" 

 

  Walking towards,Ethan George said with a click of his tongue while showing surprise on his face. He never expected that Ethan was truly a monster. He was just trying to find a reason to eliminate the threat he felt but he never really expected that he was a monster!

 

Signalling to his soldiers,the remaining survivors were quickly taken far away into the trucks,they were still very important to him.

 

 Spotting George making his way over Ethan's face became many shades ferocious.

 

   “You killed them?!”

 

  For the first time Ethan spoke,however the sound coming out of his mouth wasn't something a normal human could even say. If he were to describe it,it was more like there were two voices speaking at the same time.

 He was able to understand what he meant though.

 

 “Yes, I did. What are you going to do about it." 

 

   "I'll kill you!”

 

  Smirking,George disdainfully looked at Ethan,however,that smile was quickly wiped away from his face as pure shock replaced it.

 

  “How is the—" 

 

He wasn't even able to complete his sentence before Ethan disappeared from his spot. By the time he was able to see where he was,a punch had already slammed into him.

 

BANG!

 

  He flew away like a cannonball before slamming into a wall turning it into rubble that fell in him.

 

Thankfully,the survivors had already been evacuated before the battle started or else…..

 

  “I did that?" 

 

  Staring at his hands in disbelief a sense of shock found it's way into Ethan's warped face. At first when he attacked those two soldiers and Colonel Glenn it was as if it was another entity using his body and not him. 

 

He was just in the back seat, observing.

 

However,now that he was in full control of his body,he felt the raw power coursing through him. It however came at a cost though and that was his appearance.

 

  Looking at a window he was able to see himself and to be honest even he was shocked. 

 

  Although, he wasn't an Adonis previously, his face was still decent enough to turn heads,now however,it was as if a demon had tattooed his face,a very nasty demon. Black markings that exuded an ominous vibe crisscrossed his face while his eyes had now turned totally black,irises and all!

 

 His hands on the other hand were also covered with the black markings leading him to believe that it probably covered his entire body. They were also covered in blackish scales while a mass of black thorns grew on the scale covering each of his shoulders.

 

  Truthfully speaking he was now a monster.

 

  Another thing was that he was still able to feel changes happening in his body meaning that he was not yet monsterized fully!

 

  “Old Edward and the kids wouldn't like to see me like this,no?" 

 

  Muttering to himself he smiled wryly. But then his face became stern as he looked in the direction George had flown to when he punched him.

 

As long as he was able to kill that ass*ole,becoming a monster was a small thing.

   

     After waiting for a while though he noticed that George still hadn't stood up causing him to wonder if he had been killed by that single punch.

 

  Heck! He didn't even use up to half of his power.

 

  In the next moment though,he took back his words as he felt an enormous energy fluctuation from the rubble covering George before there was a huge explosion.

 

  BOOM!

 

 “How dare you!"
