“Sir! The wounds came from inside, he either swallowed something he shouldn’t have! Or someone has an unrestricted weapon in sector D25.” Said a young tower observer to a man showing on one of the screens in front of him. “His last contact is a child by the name Mela Brinlin, I think he was planning to kidnap her or something.”

“is that the daughter of Perla Brinlin?!” the man on the screen asked with a glint in his eyes.

“Yes sir, she has a medical history of b…” the young tower observer was about to say when the man on the screen interrupted him.

“Send me all data on this case tommy, I’ll personally handle this one.” Demetri said with a small cough, and his screen turned black.

“Thank you Jerry!” Adam said with a look of  gratitude, Jerry felt weird seeing Adam’s facial expression. He knew Adam for a while now and he never heard him say any words of gratitude to any one, he never saw his facial expression change either.

“I didn’t do any thing! That guy started running on his own!” Jerry said sheepishly. “What did that guy want any way?!” he said looking at Mela.

“He wanted me to play some game, he said he would give me a powerful core if I win, and all the fabric I need! He was scary!” Mela said with her eyes tearing up again, she stepped away from Jerry, he scared her as well.

“We have 10 minutes before my match, lets go get that ice-cream together.” Adam casually said holding Mela’s hand. “Thanks again Jerry!” he said, walking away from Jerry and the arena.

A tiny spider with its long legs crawled slowly on Adam’s leg, and disappeared into the cluster fabric on Adam’s body.

[Mission report: target neutralized. Operation untraceable. Host’s companion identified as a victim. Criminal activity of the target have been sent to the tower anonymously.]

‘I just assassinated a man!’ unlike his outer appearance and the calm expression on his face, Adam’s heart was beating fast, he felt adrenaline coursing through his veins.

He didn’t ponder about if the man deserved to die or not, his mind only calculated the consequences, offending him in any way or form is a good enough reason for him.

Previously, the symbiote separated this spider from the invisible exoskeleton on Mela’s body according to Adam’s manual response, the spider then launched itself into the man’s mouth as he tried to speak.

The man didn’t see any thing, and didn’t realize what happened to him, until the sound coming from the spider sounded inside his head, he then realized that he have offended someone with an unrestricted weapon in city 17.

All cores have their programing installed or at least scanned by the towers, or the factories under the tower’s jurisdiction. For a powerful core to be unrestricted in city 17, it only means that the people behind it are not to be tackled.

The spider scanned the electronics and the cores on the man, it found 3 layers of data scrambled on top of each other, this kind of encryption can only be found when searched for, the man works in a criminal organization hiding under the nose of the tower observers.

When Adam noticed their crime record on the data decrypted by the symbiote, he gave the instruction to the spider to dispose of the man when he goes far enough.

He then asked the symbiote if they can share this data with the tower authorities without being linked back to them.

The symbiote assured him that any communication originated from the electromagnetic waves produced by his body, cannot be tracked by current human technology.

“what do you think this man wanted from me?!” Mela said on their way back to their seats, squeezing a box of orange juice in her hand.

“Don’t think about it much! You will never see him again.” Adam said, sucking on his 3rd juice box, the flat headed robot walking in front of them, multiple types of ice-cream and foods on its flat head, it was barely balanced with the weight it carried.

The screen announcing the matches showed (13 vs 28).

Adam separated exactly one kilogram cluster fabric from his body, and turn it into a silver, 15cm tall construct. he made the action seem as if he took it out of his pocket.

The golem like construct started walking towards the left side of the arena, it went into a small door where it was weighed and scanned.

All participating constructs needed to weigh maximum of 1 kilogram, the shape didn’t matter, but the type of cluster fabric did.

Military grade cluster fabric is banned from any civilian activity. The symbiote had this information in its data, so it took precautions.

The way a fabric is scanned is by  exposing it to different lengths of radiation, and observing how it responds on the molecular level. Based on the response, they determine the model and strength of the fabric.

The symbiote installed an undetectable radiation jamming device inside the Golem like construct, to control the wave length of the radiation, and cause the desired response from the scanner.

When the silver Golem passed the scan, it jumped down into the arena, causing some dust to rise on the floor where it landed.

The opponent used a blueprint of a famous robot called (boom bird), the original robot is 2.5 meters tall and has the Agility to run in subsonic speeds, and it could fly on speeds passed Mach 50. Of course the 28 centimeters tall version of it is not as strong or agile, and it couldn’t fly, but on the same scale, it is stronger them most robots.

At this point the elimination rounds only had 3 matches left, the spectating seats were almost full.

Seeing the huge difference between the two robots, some of the spectators started laughing.

The boom bird copy looked strong and detailed, its colored yellow with some moving areas colored black, it had 3 tentacles coming out of its back, each ended with a grabbing hook used to catch its opponent and restrict its movement, hidden weapons and sharp knifes scattered all over its body, it is a machine made for war.

On the other side, Adam’s small simple looking golem like robot, entirely colored silver, with smooth surface all over it, it didn’t have any details on it, it looked like a blob of scrap metal.

“Why didn’t you make a strong detailed robot Adam?! People are laughing at your blob!” Mela said with a saddened facial complexion, her mouth filled with ice-cream.

“You should learn from the previous fights that appearance doesn’t matter. Wait and see!” Adam said, smiling slightly, stuffing his mouth with pasta, and drinking juice at the same times.

The count down started once the boom bird’s copy casually reached its position.

Three…

Two…

One…

The boom bird’s copy dashed towards the simple looking robot, which seemed tiny compared to it.

Using its 50 centimeter long tentacles on its back, it grabbed on the two shoulders and the head of the tiny silver robot once it reached it, the tiny robot didn’t seem to react, it just stood there unmoving.

Its opponent decided to exploit its unresponsive attitude to land a devastating attack, 8 centimeter long blade emerged from both of its hands, thrusting towards the silver robot, still having no reaction, the blades stuck deep into the chest of the silver robot.

“Adam! I think your robot is brok…” Mela didn’t get to finish her sentence, when the silver robot landed a punch to the head of the yellow robot, the head shattered and started regenerating.

When its head fully regenerated, the yellow robot tried to take its blade back to retreat, but it couldn’t, it was stuck inside the small robot which regenerated itself on them.

No matter how hard it pulled back, the blades didn’t budge, so it tried attacking with the tentacles, but he couldn’t pull them out of the body of the silver robot as well.

The dense smooth ball fell to the ground, bypassing the gravity field that previously contained it. It plunged a few centimeters deep into the hard metal floor, a ton of force was concentrated in a small area, making it hard to contain it by regular matter. It was still sinking through the metal floor slowly, as it was being mercilessly pulled by the planet’s gravity.[Connection established. recalculating blueprints to adapt to the signal of the new nanite cluster fabric. He was startled by the sudden disengagement of the sphere from the gravity field. He kept his eyes and scanners on Adam to detect if he is in danger before any thing, and he was relieved for once to see Adam’s expressionless face unchanging. “Can you control it?.”“Yes! The signal is different from any other cluster fabric, my blueprints needs to be modif

“she just disappeared a year after you were born, and in her place there was a message, telling your father to provide them with a certain type of technology if he ever wants to see her again.” Keet said desperately, his voice struggling in a way.“People don’t just disappear!” Adam chuckled, he was hearing about his mother for the first time, and the first thing he hears about her is that she just disappeared. The first thing that came to his mind was that she might have abandoned him and his father. Or that she could be working with the Rinvar clan.“They don’t, but when you see this you may believe the opposite.” Keet created a screen and played a video of a woman singing a sweet lullaby for an infant wrapped in a sky blue blanket with twinkling stars all over it that seems to be moving about. The woman was sitting on a flowery wooden chair rocking back and forth. She appeared to be on some kind of a ship traveling in space, a foreign star constellations were visible from a window

  • Supernova.

“please continue!.” Adam said. Seeing the shocked expression on Keet’s face, Adam thought that the symbiote created something amazing, so he inwardly requested the details of those spiders. However they were just normal spider scouts, like the one Adam used to kill the man who attempted to kidnap Mela.Keet’s surprise wasn’t triggered by the blueprint itself, he counted 8 spiders rushing in all directions at the same time, and the 8 if them seemed semi-intelligent while moving all over the base exploring about. Even Keet wouldn’t be able to accomplish such a level of control without automating the constructs.Which means either the spiders were all automated and the young kid already knows how to automate drone actions, which would be scary at his age. Or he was directly controlling 8 individual actions while still focusing on their talking, which would be horrifying. The reason Keet didn’t consider the probability of an artificial intelligence, is that the spiders were mostly just to

He also wanted to show off a little in front of Keet to pretend that he wasn’t in need of help or assistance, which resulted in a minor knee bruise and a sore knuckles.“That was a cool Landing. Was it painful?!.” Keet chuckled, commenting on his landing and making sure to save the footage of it in his memory for later use.“You noticed! Well! It just needs some practice.” Adam smile

  • Not again.

“You should come with me to the main base first.” Keet said to Adam, pointing at the middle of the island. The main base wasn’t far from where they were, the whole island was 20 km across, it would take them less then a minute to reach there flying.“Okay you go first and set a beacon, I’ll test some old tech with this new unlimited energy.” Adam didn’t argue with him, but he was still going to do his tests. He turned his clothe into a skin tight jump suit with a helmet covering his face. Two long thin wings grew from his back, ending with a jet engine each.“Do you know how loud these things are?! If you break the sound barrier with them you could damage many equipment on the island. You should try something else.” Keet stopped Adam from firing up the engines. he hated this era of technology for its too little care for the planet’s well-being. Unlike the mock engines that Adam was planning to use, the real ancient jet engine used a dangerous fossil fuel, which didn’t just endanger th
