Chapter 29

All the people in the battlefield were stunned as they saw the two large dragons burner and defeated in front of them as their bodies fell on the ground. Falkor flew and landed on top of one dragon as Lucas smiled as he brandished his blade.

"We won!" Lucas proclaimed as Falkor raised its head.

Falkor then let out a dragonic roar as it was heard by everyone on the battlefield and the two camps as Lucas raised his sword towards the sky with a victorious smile for all to see.

It took a few seconds before the soldiers from both armies to get their bearings. The faces of the soldiers of Norway turned into happy ones before they roared in happiness at what happened.

"The dragons have been defeated!" Many soldiers shouted at once.

"Hail Lord Lucas!" One soldier shouted with a joyous expression.

Then soon after more and more soldiers started to say the words as they started to praise Lucas for what he had managed to accomplish. And as for Olivia, Andvaranaut, Aslaug and Kriemhild, they let out breaths of relief because the two dragons had been defeated.

"Now with those two gone it will be easier for us to defeat them." Andvaranaut said as Olivia nodded.

"But still, I am shocked that he was actually able to use a magic of that sort." Olivia said with a surprised look.

"After we finish this war we should ask him about it. Our soldiers morale has also increased due to him defeating the two dragons." Andvaranaut said as the princess nodded her head.

"To think that he was able to defeat two dragons like that. It's almost unbelievable." Kriemhild said with a shocked look.

"He's getting more intriguing as time passes. I must get stronger if he can do this." Aslaug said to her as she smirked behind her helmet.

As for the Swedish army, they were in panic and fear at seeing two of their dragons defeated by one lone warrior on a wyvern. The morale of the soldiers started to waver at the sight of the wyvern roaring as it stood on top of the corpse of the dragons instilled fear into their hearts. While the addition of Lucas instilled greater fear in them for the man.

At the camp, the soldiers were shaking in fear at seeing what had transpired in front of them. Eric, and the commander and his second in command were wide eyed at what they had just seen happen in front of them.

"I-Impossible. Th-This has to be an illusion." Eric said in a tone of disbelief.

"M-My Prince, I have to say with a heavy heart that, that what we had witnessed in front of us is no i-illusion. That warrior had defeated our dragons using a magic that I do not know." The commander said to him shaken.

"Bring the court mage here!" Eric ordered a soldier as he went to get said mage.

The court mage appeared soon after as the prince looked at him with an angry expression.

"How did this happen? What kind of magic did he use?" Eric asked the mage through gritted teeth.

"My lord, it is a very rare magic that he has used. Space magic." The court mage said to him.

"Space magic? What kind of magic is that?" Eric asked him confused.

"It is a type of magic which allows it's wielder to control the space that they want. For example the area around the camp, or around you. A wielder of this magic can easily change it." The court mage said before going into more detail.

"If you know that then why didn't you do something?" Eric asked him angrily.

"I'm sorry my prince, however that form of magic has lost many of its records holding information about how to use it. Even I do not know how to utilise most of it. I believe that the warrior had somehow managed to find some kind of record with information about that magic." The court mage said to him.

"So you're saying that we've lost? To those damn Norwegians!" Eric asked him angrily as the soldiers around him became uncomfortable.

The court mage lowered his head in response to the prince's question.

"I'm sorry to say this my prince, but without the two dragons our army does not possess the power to defeat that warrior and his wyvern, and also the other warriors in their army." The court mage said to him with a tone of resignation.

"This can't be." Eric said in anger as he clenched his hand hard.

"My Lord, I have got a message from his majesty." A soldier said as he came and stood in front of the prince.

"Speak." Eric said to him with gritted teeth.

"His majesty has decided that trying to fight the Norwegian kingdom will not benefit us as it has cost us our two dragons. He wishes to surrender." The soldier said causing the prince's eyes to widen.

"But we have to admit our defeat to the Ascheberg royal family! To us, that's..." Eric said as he grit his teeth.

"I'm sorry my prince, but the king has made his decision and has already sent an arrow carrying a letter of us accepting defeat. He has also started to call back our troops." The soldier said to him as he lowered his face.

True to the soldiers words the Swedish army were withdrawing back as the Norwegians were celebrating at their victory against the enemy kingdom.

'I lost?' Eric thought to himself with gritted teeth.

Up above in the clouds the same enigmatic figure is looking at the battlefield with a smile. Then his eyes fell on Eric as a smile appeared on his face.

"You shall be a nice pawn in my plans Eric Anderson." The man said as he smiled with his eyes glowing.
