The moment Lucas returned to his home he told his parents about the danger and asked them to be prepared just in case and to not tell about it to anyone until something happened.
They were confused at the sudden words of their son but they trusted him as he went to his room and to the secret room where he started to go through the grimoires he has as he looked at the spells in the book as he narrowed his eyes. 'That attack would've finished me if it had hit and the more problematic thing is that I don't even know if that mage is able to do more or not. What if he was only testing me? I don't have any information to draw any conclusions on this.' Lucas thought to himself as he frowned at the lack of information. He hoped that his boys were cautious, though he had given them training and taught them to be always cautious, they were still only human and they might relax while out on the patrol. 'It would be ideal to have Aslaug with me as she would be able to warn me about it and she is capable enough to be able to dodge or withstand the attack if she tries.' Lucas thought to himself as he thought about the demigoddess. Lucas then decided to focus on the spells as he started to learn them. Because he has a habit of reading, he is able to go through the spells quite quickly as he memorizes them one by one. And the fact that he could die from the battle is a good incentive to keep his focus on getting stronger and more knowledgeable on magic. 'Faster, I have to learn them faster. Since I had already done the lower class spells, I have a much easier time to understand these spells, but I have to do it faster.' lucas thought to himself as he kept on learning more spells. At this time, Aslaug and Kriemhild were in the former's home as the two were training with their swords separately. Aslaug didn't want to fight with Kriemhild since she deemed her as being too weak to battle. And Kriemhild didn't want to fight Aslaug because she knew that she wasn't as strong as the demigoddess. "Do you think Lord Lucas' plan will work?" Kriemhild asked the demigoddess as she stopped with training for the moment. "I do not know. Since this is a powerful mage we are dealing with, he doesn't have much to create a plan on due to the lack of information." Aslaug said to her as she stopped swinging her sword and looked at it as she frowned. "But you are the central part of the plan though." Kriemhild said to her as she looked at the demigoddess. "Yes, but that is because I have the utmost chance at the completion of the plan. That doesn't make it a guarantee that we will win. And I can't let him die as well." Aslaug said to her as she gripped her sword. "Why?" Kriemhild asked in surprise at her words. 'I thought she disliked him, but I guess she does care about him after all.' Kriemhild thought to herself as she smiled slightly at the demigoddess. "Because I still have to defeat him. I will not let him die before I have gotten my dignity and pride back." Aslaug said with gritted teeth as she looked at her blade with a glare. 'Actually, that makes more sense.' Kriemhild thought to herself as she looked at the girl as she sweat dropped. But Kriemhild herself was quite nervous regarding the situation as they have no idea about the situation regarding her former kingdom, if she were to be honest. She just hoped that she would be able to survive the coming battle ahead. 'I must train more to make sure that I can be of use to Lord Lucas. That way, he is sure to guarantee my safety more.' Kriemhild thought to herself as she didn't want to die yet. And so the two warrior women kept on with their training, their own goals in their minds as they sought to get stronger for the danger that Lucas had warned them about. At the royal palace, Olivia was preparing herself in her room as she wanted to be ready in case of an attack. Even though her kingdom had won the war, the way that Prince Eric was acting during the negotiations didn't sit well with her and she had briefly wondered if he would retaliate in anger. And now it seems like her fears were true as danger is about to befall them. Whether it is actually Eric's fault is a secondary concern for her, as she has a good idea that he will be participating in anything that would let him get his revenge against her kingdom and Lucas for the loss of the war. She just hoped that she and her father would be able to fend it off with their army. If even their court mage was unable to see the kingdom, then how powerful would this new mysterious mage be for them to prevent them from spying on the nation. Olivia shuddered at the thought as she knew that it won't be a good sight if such a powerful mage is allying themselves with their enemy kingdom. Her father had told her that he and the court mage have a plan in place for when this happens and her own teacher will also be present with them to ensure that they are fully prepared for this new crisis or surprise attack that their enemy is planning. 'I just hope that this will be enough.' Olivia thought to herself as she looked at the sky seriously at the thought of the danger. As these things were going on, the mage that was responsible for all these troubles was watching it all happen while in the sky as he smiled at what is happening in these places. "Everything is going according to my plans. Now then, Lucas Larsen, will you survive this test of mine and prove your mettle, or will you die from this? It will be entertaining to see." The man said with a smile as he is quite eager to see how things will happen.

Lucas didn't give the soldiers a chance to attack as he immediately lunged forward with his sword ready, the runes taking effect as he swung and decapitated three soldiers as his sword sang as it cut through the necks of the soldiers with ease as its wielder spun around as he shot out flames which burned the soldiers as they cried out in pain. He looked at Kriemhild as she also attacked the soldiers as her sword was also able to cut through their armor and their bodies as the sword was working as he had intended as he smiled to himself as he focused back on the enemies. The mages were busy putting up shields to deflect the flames from Falkor which only annoyed the wyvern as it roared and increased the speed as it flew through the air and attacked the other soldiers as the mages kept on using shields as they knew that they couldn't lose them. The archers also attacked the wyvern but it was proving to be ineffective as the wyvern was able to dodge the arrows as they were getting angr

Lucas quickly put on his armor and grabbed his sword as he dashed out of his room, startling the servants near his room as they looked at him in shock as he quickly went down the stairs, his armor making noise which caught the attention of his parents as they came out of a room to find him in armor. "Son?" Leif called out in confusion alongside his wife. "The enemy soldiers are attacking!" Lucas shouted as he dashed without stopping as his words caused the eyes of his parents to widen alongside the servants. "What!?" All of them shouted in shock at his sudden declaration. But Lucas didn't wait for a response as he threw open the doors of the entrance as be spotted Falkor who was currently chilling on the ground, though he did sense his Master and looked at him. "Get ready to fly!" Lucas shouted as the Wyvern's eyes narrowed in response as it let out a light roar. Falkor raised his wings as he raised his body up using his legs as Lucas jumped onto his back as he steadied him
Chapter 57
Alpha and his comrades were keeping watch at the border as they had been ordered by Lucas and they hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary in there, just the usual forest and the animals that live, there weren't any disturbances nor any soldiers, though he did feel concerned that they would attack at once, but they would be able to see him, after all they had been trained for reconnaissance and while they aren't as good as their master, they could at least move away before the attack and warm Lucas during the time of attack. They were scattered around the border, with weapons at the ready in case of an ambush and were a good distance away from the border and hidden so that they will be able to safely kill any small group of soldiers that came out of the kingdom and intruded into their own. While it was a bit boring, it was safe and it wasn't like there was any danger now so he is quite content with doing this, it also allowed him to enjoy the wildlife as well. It was tranquil and e
Chapter 56
The new day started as Lucas woke up and started to train in his magic as he stayed in his room and kept a watch on the borders of the kingdom to make sure that his subordinates are fine and was glad to see that they were keeping watch over the border. Though he is dissatisfied about the fact that he wasn't able to look at the enemy kingdom and understand what was happening. Falkor is also in the garden and is working as a guard to ensure that they are safe. Since he has very sharp senses, he would be able to know when danger is afoot, which will allow him and his family to be ready. He doesn't know who has shot that attack but he knows that they are strong for being able to do that. But he also didn't know if that was the best they could do or if they have more tricks up their sleeve. There were more questions than answers, which frustrated him as he didn't know what to do in such a situation, other than creating plans based on what he knows and can hypothesize as he just wante

Chapter 54
Lucas has wanted to return to his own territory after telling the royals about the warning, but Olivia wanted to talk with him after that so he decided to forego that plan for the moment as he has to follow the wishes of the princess above all as a member of the nobility after all. "Why did you wish to talk with me princess?" Lucas asked her respectfully. "I was curious about your plan to combat this new threat. I'm sure that you would've already come up with a plan of action after learning about the danger." Olivia said as she looked at him. "Yes, I suppose you are right. Though it isn't a real plan as much as it is just something that I came up with on the spot." Lucas said as he shook his head from side to side. "I see. I guess you want to go back and get your territory ready?" Olivia said as she smiled at him. "Yes, I still haven't told my parents about it yet since I wanted to inform you immediately." Lucas said to her seriously. "Then I shall not delay you any further, as
