Mylos stared at his sister, his brows knitting as she locks his gaze, leaving both of them staring into each other's eyes silently. Numerous thoughts ran in their mind, the cold gleam in their eyes flashing.
"So, you're planning on fighting us with such weakness? I'm impressed." Aysla spoke after a while of silence, her brows loosening after she'd started the conversation, "I don't think that's possible though, you'd be killed."
Mylos had told her of his plans, and she seemed to have taken it lighter than he'd expected. Of course, Aysla was left in the dark for most “important” issues like his ability and the forbidden realm he saw.
She was also brutally honest with her comments on the information he'd fed her. Although Mylos did not like it, he could find no way to combat her brutal strikes to his ego as a chaos demon, he couldn't even feel enraged.
"Of course, that's true. It's quite sad that I cannot drop my goals because of something as vain as life." Mylos's gaze shifted from his sister to the glass window, "You'll not understand, but I can't back down."
Mylos squeezed his fists,
"If he believes letting them go is the best plan of action for the family, then I won't go against him as a member of that family. I had to break out to cut any attachments to the family I'm putting in risk for my selfish goals."
Aysla sighed in exhaustion, parting her lips to speak as a strange light flashes in her eyes, "You know once you are considered a threat to the family, we'll have to eliminate you right? Are you ready for it? Going against father?"
Mylos' eyes widened as he chuckled lightly, then burst into an awkward laughter. After calming himself down, he grinned, "Of course, I've always prepared myself to battle him if he stands in my way. I won't back down."
"All this for your revenge or the title of Eminence? You confuse me, brother. Why go through so much trouble for revenge if you want the title of Eminence or vice versa?" Aysla wondered as she tilted her head slightly.
Mylos' shrugged, then stood up to his feet. He walked to the glass wall, and pressed his palm on it, feeling the cold surface, his brows furrowed. It felt sturdy, but he knew that once he applied pressure — it would shatter.
Why did he care about his mother's death so much? He was a demon, he feels no empathy seeing other demons die before his eyes. He felt nothing when he heard news of his siblings' death, neither did he now of his venture.
Title of Eminence? Did he actually want it? Destroying the church? Was he really doing so of his own volition or out of his innate desires for chaos and destruction? Did he really want what he's fighting to get?
"I do what I do, because I want to and I can. As another abomination of desolation, I have no empathy towards these trivial issues." Mylos withdrew his hand, turning to his sister slowly, "Why else would I be branded a demon, if I had a reason to attain my desires? I just like trouble."
"If you walk down this path, you're going to get into a lot of trouble. You might no be strong enough to live through them." Aysla stood to her feet, "You're not strong enough to do whatever you like. You are weak."
"Frankly, I don't care. If strength is a hindering factor, I'll just train and overcome the barrier." Mylos walked away from the wall, coming to halt before his sibling, "I'm not telling you all these for nothing, hopefully you get that."
"Hopefully, the day I'm ordered to kill you, brother. You would be strong enough to protect yourself." Taking one step back, Aysla turned around to leave, "You're not the only one with that wretched desire."
Aysla walked towards the door, leaving Mylos silent for a while. Only after she reached the door, did he finally open his mouth to speak in a cold voice, "Where are going? I believe you said there wasn't any enemies—"
"I'm just going on a short patrol. One can never be too sure about things like this. Any mistake would cost your life and my chances of becoming ranked." Aysla spoke with a cold expression, then stepped out the door.
Mylos watched as she shut the door behind her. After a few seconds of silence, he changed into his hoodie and grabbed some money before opening the door, walking out and shutting it behind him.
He didn't take the elevator, a measure against catching up to his sibling. Since his sibling was out, he thought he would take the chance to go sightseeing. Hopefully find more clothes for the himself.
As for Aysla? He would leave her to do what she'd been ordered to do. He would only take action if she acts as a hindrance to his goals. For now, she was a shield to help him reach the church without getting wiped by hunters.
Since he didn't hold back much, he literally disappeared down the flight of stairs from the third floor down to the ground floor. He didn't even feel exhausted from his run down the stairs.
As he walked to the entrance, Mylos caught sight of the receptionist speaking to another customer. The strange feeling rose in his heart again, but he ignored to focus on his current goal. He thought of looking into it later.
The moment he stepped out of the hotel, he slowed his rush to the gates. Since his sister had already left, he had no reason to rush anymore. Now he just needed to find the perfect place to get some clothes.
Walking out of the hotel gates, Mylos cracked his neck as he faced the empty road. He came to halt before the road, then turned and began running on the walkway as he searched for open shops on both sides of the road.
"Finding an open shop at this time?" Mylos slowed his run to a jog. He thought it through, and found running to be completely unnecessary, "Who opens a shop at this time? It'll be morning in a few hours at best."
Shrugging,
"I'll just jog around…"
——
Hours later...
Mylos had already jogged his way into a neighbouring street, not a single shop open. It was already daytime, a few had already joined him in his jog. The quietness had been broken by car horns and electronic beeps.
After running without finding success, Mylos made his way to a lone chair and sat down without even looking around twice. As soon as he sat himself down, all the frustration he'd been holding up exploded into a sigh.
Shaking his head, he decided to just sit there. Maybe he would have better luck when running back to the hotel a few hours later, maybe more. Sigh, it's a good thing he'd expected this beforehand.
"Sigh..."

Attack Of The Demons
“You are still a demon! We would never…” one of them struggled within himself for a second, but his eyes burned with a fierce light and he shouted, “We would never serve a demon! Your kind must be wiped from the face of this—“ Mylos turned to the man, one of the living who suffocated under the debris movements ago and his gaze lifted to the chunk of rocks hovering over the man’s head, interrupting his speech, “Where is the God in whose name you would eradicate all demons, now?” The man stiffened up, his pupils dilating. “Tell me, young man who refused to serve a demon. I am heading out on a murdering spree now, and countless innocent people will die. How many do you think it would take before your God takes action against me?” Mylos questioned, keeping his hand stretched forth. “I-I don’t care! Serving a demon would never bring back the dead!” the man shouted at the top of his voice, his ink black eyes lit ablaze in a fierce flame, “To ease the hearts of the fallen humans, I, and
The Weakness Of Heaven
After killing the demon hunters — those rabid dogs — the church was left defenceless. His eyes flashed in a cold light as he walked down the streets, the humans around him thrown in an uproar. A smile broke on his lips watching them run helter-skelter. “Lisa, what do you consider the greatest threat to the church?” he asked, the massive cathedral appearing before his vision, growing larger the nearer he approached. His right hand held a sword and the left was dug into his pocket, “Is it the believers or their prosecutors?” “Their believers hold the basic foundation of a church. The prosecution is merely a tool to rip it apart, the system that holds the church together. I — when working on my toys — had always sat to think of how the church could come collapsing upon itself…” Lisa followed Mylos walking in a calm gait with her tails withdrawn into her body. Her eyes, like a collection of colourful stars, shone as she watched the place descend into chaos. They reached the building
The Upheaval
“What do you mean the buildings in Lower A Area had collapsed?” a man’s voice boomed in the small room. The shouting male, who towered over eight feet, holding a sword as massive as his size, glared at the woman who stood before him with her hands crossed across her chest. “We just received the information from one of our trusted eyes. The church could be in danger. I have a sent a warning to all the heroes and hunters on standby, and we are prepared to face what is rampaging around in the city…” The man listened to her speak. Her voice was like a melody to his ears, and whenever she spoke he would calm down from a second, as if he dipped into a warm spring. Soon, the anger would blare up again, and he would glare at her with bulging eyes, “Helen, that is not enough!” She shook her head, her long grey hair fluttering, “It is not like we have a choice. Our heroes are already stretched too thin. I was thinking we withdraw some heroes from the church to reinforce the others, but we h
Fire Of God
Mylos in First POV——— I was — could still be — pathetically weak. Born without any demonic arts, haunted by a dark past, only affinity is with my sword — one I am not even the best in. Hunted by humans and demons alike, I was quite pathetic. Immortality had presented me a chance, and it had given me hope — hope to grow, where I couldn’t. To go against the natural order, is death. Sadly for this universe, I cannot die. My existence is the bane of the order, constantly at odds with the rules of universe, evolving with every passing second, and tapping into that chaos — one that exists at the bottom of my soul, I discovered it. I have no needs for demon arts anymore. My existence transcends all. I practised the blade, and with time, I honed the one thing I am trained in. I practised the chaos, and what I honed was not that trained for countless years, but a gift of madness, one threatening to eat everything whole. So, I drew from the well, careful not to fall in unguarded. A taste.
Awakened Heroes
Robert rose from his fainted position, moving at a fast speed as he brandished his daggers, the expression on his face cold as he locked in, leaped towards Mylos. The demon targeted, turned to a confident fool, glaring at him out of the corner of his eyes, “All fools should die foolish deaths.” Mylos said. There was a flash of light, and Robert’s body froze, but his head moved on, rolling past Mylos’s face until it smashed into the torn up wall behind him. Tails, pulsating in a strange white light, fired from the darkness, forming into a claw. “I have held these people hostage.” Mylos turned to Ryan, snapping a finger. As Lisa walked out through the hole in the wall, the building behind her came crumbling down to dust. She stood with a calm expression on her face, her eyes as cold as ice. “Hold them hostage? Who do you think you are?” he shouted, “By the grace of the Lord himself, I Ryan of the Church of Light, will eliminate your pathetic existence be—” “I understand you may b
The Edge Of Battle
Aysla looked around herself. To her left was Judas, to her right was Robert and before her stood Ryan holding a blade and behind her was Alissa’s fallen body. The bitch was not dead but they could be trouble if something was revealed with so many watching. “Hey, demon.” Ryan jumped over her swung hammer, landing on the ground and darting forward to close the gap between them. He looked around for any escape paths to cut off but the woman was still, standing her ground with no signs of retreat, “Have you decided?” “That is not something that you can accomplish.” Aysla said, swinging her hammer around. There was a cruel gleam in his eyes as he dashed around to dodging her violent outburst. She followed his movements coolly, chasing him with her hammer, “Because, I do want to die here.” Bullets were fired and she leapt around to evade them, locked on Ryan. She made sure that the chance he looked for was not provided! She circled around with her back faced to Alissa, ensuring that Rya
