Mylos stared at his sister, his brows knitting as she locks his gaze, leaving both of them staring into each other's eyes silently. Numerous thoughts ran in their mind, the cold gleam in their eyes flashing.

"So, you're planning on fighting us with such weakness? I'm impressed." Aysla spoke after a while of silence, her brows loosening after she'd started the conversation, "I don't think that's possible though, you'd be killed."

Mylos had told her of his plans, and she seemed to have taken it lighter than he'd expected. Of course, Aysla was left in the dark for most “important” issues like his ability and the forbidden realm he saw.

She was also brutally honest with her comments on the information he'd fed her. Although Mylos did not like it, he could find no way to combat her brutal strikes to his ego as a chaos demon, he couldn't even feel enraged.

"Of course, that's true. It's quite sad that I cannot drop my goals because of something as vain as life." Mylos's gaze shifted from his sister to the glass window, "You'll not understand, but I can't back down."

Mylos squeezed his fists,

"If he believes letting them go is the best plan of action for the family, then I won't go against him as a member of that family. I had to break out to cut any attachments to the family I'm putting in risk for my selfish goals."

Aysla sighed in exhaustion, parting her lips to speak as a strange light flashes in her eyes, "You know once you are considered a threat to the family, we'll have to eliminate you right? Are you ready for it? Going against father?"

Mylos' eyes widened as he chuckled lightly, then burst into an awkward laughter. After calming himself down, he grinned, "Of course, I've always prepared myself to battle him if he stands in my way. I won't back down."

"All this for your revenge or the title of Eminence? You confuse me, brother. Why go through so much trouble for revenge if you want the title of Eminence or vice versa?" Aysla wondered as she tilted her head slightly.

Mylos' shrugged, then stood up to his feet. He walked to the glass wall, and pressed his palm on it, feeling the cold surface, his brows furrowed. It felt sturdy, but he knew that once he applied pressure — it would shatter.

Why did he care about his mother's death so much? He was a demon, he feels no empathy seeing other demons die before his eyes. He felt nothing when he heard news of his siblings' death, neither did he now of his venture.

Title of Eminence? Did he actually want it? Destroying the church? Was he really doing so of his own volition or out of his innate desires for chaos and destruction? Did he really want what he's fighting to get?

"I do what I do, because I want to and I can. As another abomination of desolation, I have no empathy towards these trivial issues." Mylos withdrew his hand, turning to his sister slowly, "Why else would I be branded a demon, if I had a reason to attain my desires? I just like trouble."

"If you walk down this path, you're going to get into a lot of trouble. You might no be strong enough to live through them." Aysla stood to her feet, "You're not strong enough to do whatever you like. You are weak."

"Frankly, I don't care. If strength is a hindering factor, I'll just train and overcome the barrier." Mylos walked away from the wall, coming to halt before his sibling, "I'm not telling you all these for nothing, hopefully you get that."

"Hopefully, the day I'm ordered to kill you, brother. You would be strong enough to protect yourself." Taking one step back, Aysla turned around to leave, "You're not the only one with that wretched desire."

Aysla walked towards the door, leaving Mylos silent for a while. Only after she reached the door, did he finally open his mouth to speak in a cold voice, "Where are going? I believe you said there wasn't any enemies—"

"I'm just going on a short patrol. One can never be too sure about things like this. Any mistake would cost your life and my chances of becoming ranked." Aysla spoke with a cold expression, then stepped out the door.

Mylos watched as she shut the door behind her. After a few seconds of silence, he changed into his hoodie and grabbed some money before opening the door, walking out and shutting it behind him.

He didn't take the elevator, a measure against catching up to his sibling. Since his sibling was out, he thought he would take the chance to go sightseeing. Hopefully find more clothes for the himself.

As for Aysla? He would leave her to do what she'd been ordered to do. He would only take action if she acts as a hindrance to his goals. For now, she was a shield to help him reach the church without getting wiped by hunters.

Since he didn't hold back much, he literally disappeared down the flight of stairs from the third floor down to the ground floor. He didn't even feel exhausted from his run down the stairs.

As he walked to the entrance, Mylos caught sight of the receptionist speaking to another customer. The strange feeling rose in his heart again, but he ignored to focus on his current goal. He thought of looking into it later.

The moment he stepped out of the hotel, he slowed his rush to the gates. Since his sister had already left, he had no reason to rush anymore. Now he just needed to find the perfect place to get some clothes.

Walking out of the hotel gates, Mylos cracked his neck as he faced the empty road. He came to halt before the road, then turned and began running on the walkway as he searched for open shops on both sides of the road.

"Finding an open shop at this time?" Mylos slowed his run to a jog. He thought it through, and found running to be completely unnecessary, "Who opens a shop at this time? It'll be morning in a few hours at best."

Shrugging,

"I'll just jog around…"

——

Hours later...

Mylos had already jogged his way into a neighbouring street, not a single shop open. It was already daytime, a few had already joined him in his jog. The quietness had been broken by car horns and electronic beeps.

After running without finding success, Mylos made his way to a lone chair and sat down without even looking around twice. As soon as he sat himself down, all the frustration he'd been holding up exploded into a sigh.

Shaking his head, he decided to just sit there. Maybe he would have better luck when running back to the hotel a few hours later, maybe more. Sigh, it's a good thing he'd expected this beforehand.

"Sigh..."

  • I Found An Undead

The massive tail swept towards Mylos, and he turned to face it with a slash! His blade hacked at the tail without a second of pause, but not even a scratch was left on the tough looking metallic surface of the tail like structure. Seeing that his sword attacks didn't work, he switched a heartbeat later into using one handed sword techniques, using his free right hand to palm at the tail. Before they could connect, something smashed into his back! Mylos spat out a mouthful of blood as he was blown off balance, staggering forward only to get whacked in the face by the tail like structure. He was stunned for a very dangerous second, but before he could get attacked by the tail again — he formed a net of attacks around him. Although his attacks were unable to harm the enemy, it prevented the tail from reaching him, allowing Mylos to notice what whammed into his back. It was a second of the receptionist's ‘tail’, just as massive as the first. Fuck! The two tails came togeth

  • Courting Death

"Clang!" Sparks flew as both swords clashed fiercely, fresh blood was spilled, and the two fighters locked themselves in a fanatic dance with their palms burning. Their eyes were radiating crazed lights as they struggled for dominance. “Clang! Clang! Bang!” Their blades ascended and descended fiercely, crashing down upon the earth without hesitation. Unable to keep the incredibly fast strokes of their blade in check, various scratches were left all over the enclosed room — parts of walls were chipped by their blades, and smaller furniture were destroyed completely. “Clang! Clang! Clang!" The building seemed as if it were going to collapse, the walls shook with every successfully connected blow from the two fighters. With the development of the battle, all the small chips grew into huge chunks. Neither of them seemed prepared to back down, thier bodies were shrouded in wounds, drenched completely in their own blood. In time, their blood grew to form a pool beneath th

  • To Abuse A Curse

Now that I've tested the power of this skill again, maybe I should experiment more on more creative ways I could use in killing enemies. Maybe try adjusting the size of an explosion by increasing intensity of air condensation? Shaking his head, he stepped into the elevator. Today, it was no surprise he would avoid taking the stairs down to the ground floor when the elevator would get him there in half the time. It was unwise to burn energy after fights. "How many of them had come today? I don't think just a handful of weaklings would be able to hold back Aysla for such a long time." Mylos frowned, watching with his brows furrowed as the elevator slowed to a halt. The door split open with a mechanical chime, and with a quick glance around, he stepped outside, after some seconds, the elevator doors slammed shut and he was left standing outside with his brows still furrowed. The receptionist seemed to have disappeared, and the bottom floor reeked of human blood. As he walked

  • Never Hesitate

"Boom!"Mylos was blown into the air, vomiting a mouthful of his blood as he crashed into the ceiling. After a few seconds on the ceiling, the dropped down to the ground, landing on his bloodied face. His opponent was no better shape, it's face not looking any better than Mylos'. One of it's arm had been torn off during their exchange, but was slowly growing back out whilst the wounds all over his body healed."Heh… Hehe… Hehehe."Mylos stood to his feet, clenching his hands into fists as he kept his head bowed to the ground. The aura he was emitting had turned cold, his maniacal laughter growing to fill the entire room, his shoulder jerking up and down."What's so funny?" The other demon's arm grew back completely, and he began moving his fingers to assure they were healed completely, "Your sister is busy with a few decoys. She'll come to meet your dead body."The demon smirked. They had been fighting for quite a while now, and he believed Mylos to be at his limit. Not only was he re

  • No Weakness!

Mylos rushed back into the hotel. He entered through the front door, gave the receptionist a glance, then he sprinted up the stairs. He didn't really believe Karen at first, but as he managed to get away in one piece…He believed he should forget it, all that mattered now is his safety. If there were others like her Father concealing their presence, then it would be unwise of him to remain here and wait for one of them to attack. He reached the door to his room, and dropped his bag to unlock the door. As he inserted the key into the hole, then twisted out of habit — his heart skipped a beat and he dragged the key out and took a step back.Mylos raised his leg and kicked the door down, bursting into his own room like a madman. To his visible surprise, there was no one in the room. Although he noticed that, Mylos remained sceptical of something being wrong. He grabbed the bag of clothes he'd dropped, then shut the door without locking it. As soon as he'd secured the bag, he overturned i

  • To Get Stronger

Mylos stood with his head bowed, concealing the light in his eyes as numerous thoughts roamed his heart. He was endangered at this point, and believed he'd not be strong enough to protect himself from harm. "Hero..." He'd been careless and weak. If he'd sensed a presence earlier, he wouldn't have approached this district. All he could do now, was to calculate the chances of what the human child was saying to him. "If you're so worried, then I can follow you outside the district to ensure you wouldn't be attacked by a Hero in front of a demon's daughter." Karen shrugged, speaking casually to calm down a tensed Mylos. Mylos had gotten used to her company, that does not make him dense and stupid. If he dud not trust his own siblings, why would be trust a random stranger? Even if she wasn't lying, the dangers were still very high. Hoping she would be able to defend him from an attack by her own father? Rather than sitting down and hoping such stupid things, he'd hope that she was jus
