Episode 9

Zoe's POV continues…

I laid her down on the cold floor, she grunted. I turned her body around to check what made her wince in pain. I was searching carefully when my hand suddenly touched a wet area. I checked it out to find blood dripping in her tummy. I opened her clothes and caught a glimpse of a slight wound. Wait, I thought it was an illusion, it seemed like she was burnt, because of the way she was groaning. Anetta the lady of wrath, that is her. She did it, how did she do it while in prison, for as far as I know she has been gotten rid of. It's a slight burn but I'm sure it hurts like hell.

I stretched my hand forward trying to heal her, but I couldn't, I can't seem to feel the amount of energy needed. It can only take a lot of time to heal.

I sigh then do the only thing I could have, and only thought of. Yes! transferring all my strength to her, hopefully she gets better and awakened her inner strength.

Sean pov...

The doctor came to check on her, when Aunt Sandra convince the doctor to let us in, We were let in immediately Sarah and Cassie left to use the restroom.

The room was really awkwardly quiet as we all stare at Chloe's sleeping body, not saying a word, that was one of the  conditions given to us by the doctor to be able to be with her, seriously I'm getting bored but I just have to wait though, till she wakes, I hope she does that very soon.

"Can you see that?" Brian suddenly asked jottling me out of my thoughts 

"What?" I and aunt Sandra asked instantly 

"Her hand, her finger just move" he said and we all stare at her not blinking an eye

"She is awake" aunt Sandra announced after we've confirmed that her fingers truly move.

"Sean call the daughter" She commanded.

I dashed out of the ward room running to the direction of the doctor's office when I bumped at Sarah Palin.

"Hey watch it" she said glaring at me

"What happened?" Cassie suddenly said appearing from Sarah behind interrupting what I was about saying to her.

"She is awake, so I'm rushing to call the doctor not until this..." I was saying when I was interrupted by Cassie 

"You should go," Cassie said, not ready for another banter I think. I ignore the glare Sarah was giving me and went to the doctor's office.

Seriously, what is wrong with this girl, huh?.

Chloe's pov...

"You know, I don't think you should be at school today" Sandra whined for the umpteenth time 

"I told you I will be fine" I replied gulping down the whole water in my glass cup

"Just yesterday you fainted, and I was dead worried about you" she said

"Come on I said I'm fine" I replied her grabbing my backpack and placed a peck on her forehead before dashing out for the school bus, I don't think I'm ready to miss it.

After I had woke up yesterday from the hospital, I was discharged almost immediately because I was feeling weirdly energetic, though they all kicked against it, but I managed to convince them

And here I am going to school after so much whine from mum.

Oddly, Zoe's has been urging me to get to school, well I don't know why.

I alighted from the school bus, when Sean suddenly rushed to me then put his hand across my shoulder and I tried shrugging it off, but he won't budge.

"So how are you doing? Huh?" He said with all smiles after we've exchanged pleasantries.

"I'm good, where are the others?" I asked looking behind his shoulder, eye searching them

"Hey!" 

"Oh, that is Sarah" I said waving at her while I stopped walking

"And there comes the least worrisome friends Brian and Cassie" Sean said dramatically to the hearing of Sarah while I nudged his shoulder.

"He didn't call my name too" I said interrupting whatever Sarah was about to, it's too early for all that.

"Morning guys" Brian said sharing an handshake with Sean

"Chloe!" Cassie said excitedly and gave me a hug

"I want a hug too" Sarah mumbled

"Sure" I replied

We all start walking to the homeroom simultaneously after we are done hugging.

"This looks like we are in a movie, I mean we are all spread out walking to class simultaneously" Brian said as we all laugh

"Selfies!" Sean said quickly getting into the middle with his phone up, and the camera clicked.

I excused myself to use the restroom during math class, I suddenly felt so pressed, I needed to let them all out.

After doing my business I was washing my hand when both Cassie and Sarah came in.

"Oh, hey, please don't tell me math class is boring, 'cos I was hoping to get you guys note to cover for the minutes I missed" I said to them, 'cos I know they both hated math but still alwaysl have a complete note on it.

"Let me in" Zoe said and before I could say jack she was already in control.

"Scratched all what she just said right now, so you are Sarah and that's Cassie right?" Zoe said pointing at them one after another.

"And you guys must be so inquisitive to follow her up here" she added

"Who are you?" Cassie asked seeing the change in attitude 

"Oh, my bad! Call me Zoe"

"What are you?" Sarah asked

" I just told you I'm Zoe"

"Why are you interrogating us?" Sarah asked

"Because I'm Zoe"

"So, is she the one? Cassie inquired understanding the situation they are in.

"I suppose the question is for me" zoe replied after drying her hand

"Of course, it is" Sarah said, almost rolling her eye.

" What makes you think I'm going to answer your question?" She asked back facing them

"Because you are Zoe!" Sarah said, mimicking her.

With a smirk, but "Even if I know, i'm not telling none of you, one of you could be a sly" I said

"Then why did you show yourself to us?" They both asked

"Because I know who you are, do you think I'm going to let Chloe be friends with you if I don't know your background?"

"Since you know us, why won't you tell us if she is the one?" Sarah asked?

"Because one of you could still be a sly" she said before walking out of the restroom leaving them confused.
