Episode 7
I stepped out of the shower with my towel wrapped around my body, I sat down before my dressing table and started drying my hair with the hair dryer. I picked out a casual outfit and wore it after I'm done drying my hair and applying body lotion.
I walked out of my bedroom straight to the kitchen with my books and placed them on the dining table. I smiled at the number of cookies Sandra had made before leaving home. She has been job hunting since last week. I hope she gets it though.
I grabbed some cookies with a glass of milk and took them to the dining room.
It's been two weeks since I started schooling here. The experience is pretty nice, as the students and people of Wales are nice folks.
I was halfway into my food when the door opened revealing Brian, Cassie and Sean. Sean quickly rushed into the kitchen and came out with all the bowls of cookies left.
"Where is Sarah?" I asked them
"She should be here soon," Brian said emptying my glass of milk
"Tch" Sean hissed "always a late comer" he added
"You should go and pour yourself a cup instead" I glared at Brain who just emptied my glass of milk.
"I'm so thirsty," he said, and I rolled my eyes.
"You he yourself a cup of water instead
"Chloe, who baked these delicious-looking cookies?" Cassie asked with a piece of cooking in her hand.
"I did" I announced to them
"Thank you Cassie for saving me from dying," Sean said, dropping the cookie he was almost eating back into its container.
"What do you mean?" I asked, eyeing him. The door opens revealing Sarah as she walks in with her mini handbag.
"Hey, guys, what do I miss?" Sarah asked, grabbing the cookies and putting some into her mouth.
"Nooo" Brian and Cassie screamed out but it was too late. She was already munching on it.
"What?" She asked with a mouth full.
"Chloe made them," Cassie said, all gazing at Sarah as if she is going to disappear any moment from now.
"But it tastes delicious," she said, moaning at the sweetness of the cookie.
"You! You pranked us" Sean said as they all rushed to Sarah to take the bowl away from her, while she ran with the bowl up in the air around the room.
So we were given an assignment at school and it turns out I had the highest score, so here we are as we all agreed to, for the group reading
After we were all done with the snacks
The five of us gathered around the dining table using it as our reading corner and started studying.
Few minutes into the reading, the familiar feeling begins, the sudden vibration.
"What are you doing?" Zoe yelled
"Come on, stop resisting, you!" she added
"Nah, they are my new friends, I don't want to scare them away" I replied, trying to maintain cool and calm, in the process I tried resisting her.
"I'm not scaring anybody away" she explained
"Of course, you are, now I'm convinced that you don't want me to associate myself with anybody nor have friends" I replied
"Ohhh, so sad, I pity you," she said sarcastically "Now stop resisting 'cos I don't have much time," she said fiercely and with more power, I was drawn back while Zoe took over forcefully, I could feel beads of sweat dripping from my face to the paper, I sure knew the headache I was feeling wasn't from this planet.
My friends must have been dead-ass worried right now, each passing second I could feel my soul leaving its body, the throbbing headache and the flashes of pain, whatever Zoe sees must have been so scary that it makes me lose this whole lot of energy. I need to stop her. I can't just wait here for her, I feel like I'm going to die right now, no, I need to stop her! My eyes went blank.
Sean's pov
I emptied the glass of water in one go and dropped the glass back to continue studying. I walked to the reading corner as Sarah had suggested we call it when I met everybody fanning Chloe with their books and calling her name.
"What happened?" I asked worriedly as I rushed to the scene in front of me.
"She was just right here sketching on the paper and we were just about to see what she was drawing when she suddenly fainted," Brian said worriedly, still fanning her.
"Fainted?" I asked hoping it was a prank as I rushed to the scene feeling her temperature.
"She effing fainted, let's get her to the hospital" Brian yelled
"Maybe we should call Sandra and wait for her" Cassie suggested
"We should take her to the hospital" Brian disagreed
"No, let's call Sandra" Cassie insisted while going to get her phone.
"I don't know what we should do but what I do know is that we should take her to the hospital now or we are all going to be dead meat," I said starting with a cool voice and ending up yelling after feeling her temperature and yikes! She is hot as hell.
I grabbed her hand trying to see if I could feel her pulse.
"Does she have any pulse?" Sarah said with tears in her eyes, while fiddling with her phone
"Of course, she doesn't. I'm a science student, not a freaking doctor, so how I'm I supposed to know if she has a pulse!?"
"Oh my God she is still breathing," Sarah said touching her nose to feel her breath.
"Duh, she fainted not dead now clean your stupid tears dummy" I yelled at her
"Are we going to be bickering all day! Let's take her to the hospital!" Cassie yelled
"Thought you said we should wait for Sandra" Brian retorted
"Yes, but now let's take her to the hospital or you are gonna make your Dad bail all of us out of jail for the murder of Chloe" she yelled
"B... But we didn't kill her" Sarah sobbed
"Who is our witness?" Cassie asked
"Enough!" I yelled "She is not going to die, Brian I need some helping hand here cos she is 10 times heavier than she looks" I added trying to carry her
"Cassie call Sandra again!" I commanded.
Zoe pov
"Chloe!" I said silently, where the hell is she?
I closed my eyes, navigating through all the possible places her soul could be. I found her, I found her, the feeling of fear and pain flashes through, I need to get her out of there, That freak could kill her. she is not strong for this yet, she has not fully manifested yet. Even if it means me using all the strength and energy I have left, I'm getting her out of there. I groaned and opened my eyes.
