Crescent Waves Corporation.
“Zenith group hasn't replied till now. What could be wrong? They normally got back to us within twenty-four hours. They can't be changing their minds, right?” Nancy was incredibly worried as she stared intently at the computer screen, waiting for the confirmation email. Jason patted her shoulder. “Don't worry, they will reply. They were the first to reach out, why will they back out now?” Nancy wasn't convinced, for some reason dread filled her heart. She felt hollow, it was as if something huge and unfavorable was going to happen to her. “Zenith is a big group, and there are rumors it's connected to that mysterious Dominion consortium. Crescent Wave is a new company that just rose to fame. What if they decide to work with others?” “I have someone at Zenith, I will pull strings to get you the contact. Don't worry.” Jason pinched her cheek with a soft smile, and she looked up at him. “You're still the best.” He leaned down and took her lips in a consuming kiss. He felt quite happy. He not only kicked Xavier away and left him for dead, he also got the billion dollar company. He was set for life and happiness was assured. Pants and moans soon filled the room as he began to ravage her body. In that moment, a shadow flashed past. Lost in the throes of passion, none of them noticed the presence of another entity. The shadow flashed again. This time, Nancy looked up. Jason was torn from her body by a wave of wind which appeared in the room. They both screamed in shock. Nancy’s eyes turned wide with terror as she looked around. But there was no one in the office, just the whirlwind that suspended Jason mid air, his wet c*ck dangling out of the unzipped space in his trousers. “Who are you? Show yourself.” Jason screeched, his heart filled with fear. Hot urine rushed to his bladder. He had never experienced this kind of thing before. A powerful force hit his belly, sending him crashing to the wall, then sliding to the floor. He lay there, twitching, blood seeping out from his mouth, nose and ears. He managed to shove his di*k back into his clothes. Nancy hit the bell to summon security, shivering all over as she searched for their invisible tormentor. A sharp slap landed on her cheek, making her scream in agony. One of her teeth fractured, and tiny fragments spewed out of her mouth alongside blood. “Who are you? Why are you doing this to us? Are you even human?” She wailed. The slap nearly blinded her eyes, the next moment, something sharp hit her neck and she lost consciousness. ***** The next time Nancy regained even the slightest shred of clarity, the first thing she became aware of was the sharp, burning pain biting into her wrists. It felt as though the ropes had already carved themselves deep into her flesh. Every tiny movement only made them dig in harder. An unbearable strain pulled at her entire body, stretching every muscle until they trembled in protest. A low groan escaped her lips before she could stop it. Her throat felt painfully dry, as though someone had stuffed handfuls of sand down it. Every breath scraped against her windpipe, shallow and labored, while something seemed to be lodged in her throat, making it increasingly difficult to breathe. Her chest rose and fell unevenly, each inhale coming with a faint wheeze. Something felt...wrong. This didn't feel as though she was lying down. That realization sliced through the haze clouding her mind. The memories of the office incident crashed into her consciousness with brutal force, jolting every remaining trace of drowsiness away. Her eyes flew open. A blood-curdling scream ripped out of her throat. She was dangling from the roof of a factory building. Her hands had been tied tightly to a protruding wooden pole jutting out from the edge of the rooftop, leaving her entire body suspended in midair. The cold night wind slammed into her from every direction, causing her body to sway violently like a broken pendulum. Nancy gasped violently, panic flooding every inch of her body as she instinctively looked down. The ground was impossibly far beneath her. At least ten floors. The streetlights below had shrunk into tiny glowing dots, while abandoned vehicles looked no larger than children's toys. The dizzying height made her vision blur. Her stomach lurched so violently she nearly threw up. There was no way... There was absolutely no way she could survive a fall of that magnitude. Her entire body began shaking uncontrollably. "No! Help me! Help me!" she shrieked until her voice cracked. "There's a killer! Somebody help me!" Her desperate cries tore through the silent night, echoing across the abandoned industrial district. But no answer came. Only the mournful howl of the wind answered her, sweeping between the rusted buildings like countless invisible ghosts, carrying her screams away as though the night itself was mocking her desperation. "Alright, stop stressing your vocal cords now." A lazy female voice drawled from somewhere above the rooftop. The voice was so casual... So relaxed... As though she were commenting on the weather instead of watching someone hang between life and death. Nancy's head snapped upward so abruptly that her body swung dangerously beneath the rooftop. The violent movement made the wooden pole creak. Her heart slammed violently against her ribs. For one horrifying second, she genuinely believed everything would snap and send her plunging into the darkness below. She froze completely. "No one can hear you." The woman's voice remained low, leisurely, almost amused. Yet beneath that mocking tone lurked something infinitely colder. Hatred. Pure, suffocating hatred. Nancy's breathing became increasingly frantic. Her mind raced desperately through everyone she had offended recently, every argument, every slight, every business rival, every jealous acquaintance... Nothing. She couldn't remember provoking anyone powerful enough—or insane enough—to do something like this. "How about we play a little game?" The words were delivered with almost childlike playfulness. That somehow made them infinitely more terrifying. A violent shiver crawled down Nancy's spine. Fresh tears overflowed from her reddened eyes, rolling uncontrollably down her cheeks before dripping into the darkness beneath her. "W-Why?" she cried, her voice breaking into helpless sobs. "Who...who are you?" Her entire body trembled violently. To make matters worse, the rope above her groaned under the strain. Fibers rubbed against one another with tiny cracking sounds. Every soft creak seemed to echo directly inside her skull. It was getting weaker. Much weaker. At any moment, she could plummet straight to her death. "Who sent you?" Nancy cried frantically, terror stripping away every trace of dignity. "I can pay you ten times more! I have money! I can pay you! Just...please...please let me go!" Far above her, Trinity's eyes slowly hardened. Hatred bubbled violently inside her chest. "Money, huh?" The words slipped from her lips with chilling softness. The money she stole from her sworn brother. The same money she had shamelessly fought over. The same money she had nearly killed Xavier for. How dare she... How dare this woman stand there and claim it belonged to her? Darkness swirled inside Trinity's eyes until they seemed several shades deeper than before. Without the slightest hurry, she unwrapped a lollipop and popped it into her mouth, the crisp crack of candy strangely loud amidst the silence. "Young lady," she said around the candy, her tone carrying a frightening smile, "your ill-gotten wealth, I don't need it." She tilted her head slightly. "However, I'm going to play a game with you." "If you win, I'll let you go. If I win..." A delighted smile slowly spread beneath the ghostly makeup covering her face. "You will play three more games with me." Before Nancy could even process those words, a face suddenly appeared upside down directly in front of her. "So..." Nancy screamed. The sound that escaped her throat was raw, shrill, almost inhuman. The face hovered only inches away. Its skin had been painted deathly white. Dark circles swallowed the area around its eyes until they looked like empty pits. Fresh blood dripped lazily from the corners of its lips, sliding over its pale chin before falling into the darkness below. Its smile stretched impossibly wide. Far too wide. "Youth miss..." the face whispered again, grinning broadly at her. But Nancy couldn't hear the words properly anymore. Her mind had already collapsed beneath overwhelming terror. All she saw was a ghost. A monster. A zombie crawling straight out of hell, baring bloodstained fangs before devouring her alive. Screams poured endlessly from Nancy's mouth. She begged. She cried. And pleaded for mercy. Her expensive makeup had long since dissolved beneath the relentless flood of tears streaming down her face. Mascara mixed with mucus and saliva until black streaks stained her trembling cheeks, leaving her looking pitiful beyond words. Then, a sharp, pungent smell drifted through the air. Trinity wrinkled her nose before taking another sniff. Her entire face twisted with disgust. "Waste!" she roared, nearly choking on her own anger. Nancy had peed on herself. Fear had completely robbed her body of control. For several long seconds, Trinity simply stared at her. Then she clicked her tongue. She truly couldn't understand what Xavier had ever seen in this ugly, delusional fool. He had pampered her for years. Practically handed the world to her whenever she asked. She never needed to lift a finger. Every wish... Every demand... Every unreasonable request... Xavier had fulfilled them all without hesitation. Yet instead of gratitude, all it had done was inflate her arrogance until she became unbearably conceited and presumptuous. The more he gave, the more entitled she became. Earlier, Trinity had genuinely worried she might never find an opportunity to teach Nancy the lesson she so richly deserved. But Xavier's unfortunate unconsciousness had created the perfect opening. An opening she had no intention of wasting. Indeed... She intended to make this night one Nancy would never be able to shake off... Not in ten lifetimes. A huge smile slowly blossomed across Trinity's painted face as she hovered directly above Nancy, looking less like a human being and more like an evil spirit enjoying itself. "Miss..." She giggled softly. "Get ready." The words had barely left her lips— Snap! The rope holding Nancy suddenly gave way. Time seemed to freeze. Nancy's eyes widened until they looked ready to burst from their sockets. Then gravity claimed her. She plummeted straight toward the ground below. Her piercing screams echoed endlessly through the dark night, growing fainter with every passing second as the cold wind swallowed them whole. Above her, Trinity threw her head back and burst into loud, uninhibited laughter. "Aiya!" Her delighted shouts rang across the empty factory rooftop, wild, childish, utterly unrestrained. The laughter chased Nancy all the way down into the darkness. Like a mad, haunted Annabelle doll on a rampage.Latest Chapter
Tragic fall
The guards ran around, confused. Panic was written across every face. The rope was getting weaker, fraying strand by strand. At the moment, only a tiny strand was still holding it up, creaking with every shift.“Get inflatable mattresses to cushion their fall!” A reporter shouted, voice cracking over the noise. The head of security who was running around with his men wheezed. Sweat poured down his temples. It totally escaped his mind. In the chaos he had forgotten the most basic protocol. The chaos had woken the previously sleeping guards, sending them into a frenzy. They stumbled out of the lodge half-dressed, eyes still bleary.“That's right. Mattresses.” He turned to the guards behind him, jabbing a finger toward the building. “Bring out the mattresses from the security lodge, hurry. Now.”Siren sounds blared in the distance, cutting through the commotion. Wails of red and blue flashing against the glass walls. “Who called the police?” Someone muttered, turning around to check th
Women are scary
The moment the others heard the scream, every head instinctively snapped toward the two figures suspended above the entrance. The reporters reacted even faster.Camera shutters erupted in rapid succession as they hurriedly changed positions, searching for the best angles. If the woman truly was the president of Crescent Waves, this story had just transformed from an unusual incident into a headline capable of dominating every major news outlet.Being publicly disgraced in front of the very company where she had spent more than four years building her reputation and career...That alone was enough to keep the internet talking for weeks.Nancy immediately raised both hands to shield her face, panic and resentment twisting together inside her chest until she could barely breathe. Somewhere amidst the rising commotion, she thought she heard that familiar childish voice again—"Aiya!"The imagined cry sent a violent shiver racing down her spine.A strangled scream escaped her lips as she t
Clothed with shame
CRESCENT WAVES HEADQUARTERS, 7 A.MTwo people were hanging from the front entrance of the Crescent Waves headquarters. One man and a woman. The man was bleeding all over, one finger missing, navy blue trousers soaked with blood. His female companion was even worse off, her hair was messed up, soaked in something smelly and slimy. On her body, a placard was hanging visibly. [I'm a lying slut who killed my husband after stealing his properties.]On the man, another placard was hanging. [I'm an evil gigolo who scams others for money. I also kill investors after taking their money. I'm not human.]The first person who came to work was a cleaner. She'd forgotten her purse the previous day at the cubicle and rushed over in the morning to take it away before other people could arrive and tamper with it. As for the guards, some were still sleeping soundly in the lobby, while others had bathed in the detached unit Xavier assigned to guards, in order to give them a place to rest as they wor
They're not humans
The excuse sat in the room like an unpleasant fart from a titan. Trinity's face was earnest, like she genuinely believed every word she said. “Not humans.” Ryan tasted the words on his tongue, like a man biting lead. He shrugged and began to pack the needles and equipment. Trinity batted her lashes, silently praying Xavier would accept her excuse. He hated disobedience a lot, and didn't joke with a soldier’s moral code. However, Trinity had long discovered that not everyone deserved the normal kind of justice. Only her own method was perfect. When it comes to extracting confessions and making people beg for death, no one could be better than her. Except for that one person trapped at the wastelands. “Not humans, huh?” Xavier chuckled, eyes dark. “Trinity, go pick a basket of scalding nether flowers from Myrias Valley. If you're not back by morning, I will truly give you something to cry for.”Ryan’s lips twitched. Scalding nether flowers were dangerous poisonous herbs. A little co
He's awake
Serenity Hills, Ravencrest BaseSoldiers stood at attention along every inch of the corridor leading toward the heavily secured research laboratory where Xavier was currently recovering. Their backs were ramrod straight, boots planted firmly against the polished floor, expressions carved from stone. The atmosphere was unnaturally quiet. Even the occasional crackle of communication devices seemed subdued, as though the entire building instinctively understood the importance of the man resting beyond those reinforced doors.Inside the laboratory, the air carried the rich, earthy fragrance of medicinal herbs intertwined with the faint scent of essential oils. Strange glass instruments, medical monitors, and traditional bronze incense burners occupied the same room, creating an unusual harmony between modern science and ancient healing arts.Ryan stood beside Xavier's bed in his white coat, silently studying the handwritten sheet resting atop the blanket. Every line on the paper contained
Abort Mission
At another part of Erindor Trinity stared down at the unconscious Jason, hatred and disgust curdling in her chest until it felt like acid. The man who dared to poison her brother. The parasite who drank from Xavier’s blood for four years and still wanted more. She grabbed him by the collar like he weighed nothing and teleported. The world folded. The cold wind against his face woke him up with a violent gasp. The first thing he saw was the black water beneath him, waves crashing and foaming like teeth. His face turned white, horror consuming him whole. “No! Oooh!” “Aiya!” Trinity sneered, and let go. His screams tore through the night as he plummeted. A mighty splash buried him. “Trash like you dared to hurt my master? I will have to remind you where the trash belongs.” The sea was icy. It hit his lungs and stole his breath. Salt water rushed into his mouth, his nose burned. Despite being a good swimmer, his limbs felt like lead. They just wouldn’t cooperate. It could be fea
