The military Jeep was speeding across the highway. The siren and the presence of uniformed soldiers riding in open trucks meant that other drivers cleared off the road as they hurried towards the Ravencrest temporary base at Serene hills, Xavier's private estate.
Trinity, the auburn haired woman dressed in black leather combat attire was holding Xavier's hand, tears dripping steadily down her face. It was truly a strange sight. The deadly Trinity who single handedly killed a hundred top assassins on her own at sixteen, who never showed weakness and struck without mercy, the legendary goddess that could call down storms at will, was crying. Xavier's face was pale, totally white and he lay lifeless inside his Rolls-Royce Phantom. The seats were adjusted into a makeshift bed for him, and Trinity knelt beside him, holding his hand. “Big brother, you can't leave me. Please stay strong, we're almost there.” Therion, Xavier's left lieutenant, one of the seven members of his Heavenly Mandate army's inner circle was making calls to the team to get things ready. He had already done his best to stabilize Xavier's internals, but the sneak attack left devastating damage. Normally, a sneak attack shouldn't have affected him, but he had sealed his powers for a very long time, in addition to the poison which lowered his body's defenses. Trinity brought his palm to her face, her heart aching. “I won't let her off. I absolutely won't spare that woman. I will make her wish she had died in her mother's womb. I will unleash the worst possible storm on her.” She was filled with bitterness and pain, her heart was pounding…aching. She had never felt this kind of pain before, not even during the Saud mission when her team was caught in an ambush, and she endured six bullets, three electric poisoned arrows, and multiple shrapnel injuries. This pain was hitting her steadily, making it feel as if she was about to die. “Trinity, calm down. We can't take any action till the boss wakes up. For now, I can only focus on withdrawing the assets according to his prior instructions.” Therion said, turning to her. “Luckily, I added the clause that it could be taken back at any point at the giver's discretion during all the asset transfers I made. Recovering them would be easy, except for Crescent Waves. Since she thinks she could play a fast one on the boss, we will show her what it means to be truly and utterly hopeless, with nowhere to run.” The car pulled before mighty black gates with walls that stood over a hundred feet tall. Light from the gates fell on the car in the lead, and it automatically opened, letting the convoy in. The property was massive, sitting on a hundred acres of land. Military outposts and lodges lined both sides of the gate, then gardens filled with exotic plants and animals held in an enclosure. They sped for another three minutes before they arrived before the main mansion, deep within the villa. The door slid open, and Kael who had been waiting outside with two soldiers holding a gurney rushed forward, lifting Xavier to it. Michael jumped down from the driver's seat, rushing after them with Trinity and Therion following. Inside, doctor Ryan was already in the lab getting things ready to save him. Nothing must be allowed to happen to their master. ***** “He still hasn't woken up. It's been three days. Ryan, what's going on?” Trinity looked hysterical at this point. She hadn't slept a wink since that day, her eyes now had tiny red lines from exhaustion, panic and frustration. Ryan stood there with his twin brother Kaz, looking confused. They were Xavier's students who inherited a greater percentage of his medical skills, members of his inner circle assault team. During the time Xavier was with them, he taught them a lot. They were hailed all around as divine doctors. Yet, they were helpless in the face of Xavier's situation. “Trinity, we have used all the rare elixirs we know that could help, including his precious divinity restoration elixir. What technique have I not tried? In this case, only the boss himself is the one with the ability to handle this case. But he's the patient… unfortunately.” Trinity looked at the bed. Although Xavier appeared better than that day, and was breathing normally, he wasn't waking up, which was strange. “I can't believe this.” Therion whispered. “Bomb blasts, attacks from evil cultivators and saint realm grandmasters, multiple ambushes, he survives them all, without flinching, and even heals himself each time, while killing battalions alone. How could a woman leave him in such a pathetic state?” Kaz sighed and sat down on a nearby sofa. “The problem isn't the injuries, internal bleeding, or even the severed meridians… he has survived worse. The problem now is his heart. He probably doesn't want to wake up.” Therion twisted his neck, rubbing his temple which was throbbing painfully. “How about the poison in his body? Have you found a way to dispel them?” “The poison has seeped into his organs. We have extracted some, but a greater percentage remains. Using extreme techniques isn't advisable because he's currently unconscious. Patience is the only solution.” Trinity was boiling, her heart felt stuffy. She took deep breaths to control her emotions, and looked at Xavier again. “Since he's not awake, this is a good time to teach that bitch a lesson.” The corner of her lips curved maliciously, hatred and bloodlust visible in her eyes. The hair at the back of their necks stood on edge. Each of them were ruthless, but Trinity? She was sheer evil. Conscience was a luxury she never afforded. Xavier always warned them against engaging in underhanded tricks to defeat others. But Trinity never listened. Dirty tricks and torture were her signature moves. “Since she loves men a lot, I will let her enjoy them.” The moment she finished speaking she turned to leave the room. Therion’s heart jumped, cold sweat appearing on the surface of his palm. The last time he saw that darkness in her eyes, she threw someone into a vat of acid, cooking them alive till there was nothing left. As for Kaz, he merely chuckled and crossed his legs, leaning back against the chair as if waiting to watch a good show. Ryan wheezed out a nervous breath, his heart pounding as memories assaulted him. “Trinity, maybe you shouldn't do anything yet. If the boss wakes up and discovers you used your methods again, he might punish you.” “Punishment? I'm willing to accept it. But that woman…I will never let this wickedness pass.” That said, she left the room, her steps purposeful and confident. “Mmm. The mad kraken has been unleashed again. It seems we will receive very pleasant news soon.” Kaz muttered, tearing open a candy and popping it into his mouth, his eyes glowing with a demonic light.Latest Chapter

At another part of ErindorTrinity stared down at the unconscious Jason, hatred and disgust consuming her. She grabbed him and teleported to the bay area. The cold wind against his face woke him up. The first thing he saw was the crashing of waves beneath him. “No! Oooh!”“Aiya!” Trinity sneered and let go of him. His screams resounded as he fell into the sea with a mighty splash. “Trash like you dared to hurt my master? I will have to remind you where the trash belongs.”The sea was ice cold, and water was rapidly filling Jason’s mouth. Despite being a good swimmer, his limbs remained immobile. It could be fear, it could also be because whoever grabbed him did something to him. Despair, confusion, fear, all formed a horrifying mix in his mind. Something blinked a few meters away from where he was struggling. His heart jumped. A mighty fish? Shark! Screams tumbled out of his lips. However, the sea water rushing into his mouth muffled the sound. A low trumpeting sound came from t
Meaning of despair
Nancy’s heart jumped. Regret, horror, and indescribable fear chewed her whole. Just when she was sure she would splatter against the concrete floor, turning into meat paste without even a complete corpse, a miracle happened. A leg casually caught her, making her hang off it mid air. Nancy froze, then gasped, wondering why her fall got bridged. Her mid section was on a dainty outstretched leg. Her current position was undignified, most importantly, she couldn't understand how a casually outstretched leg could balance her weight. It didn't matter, all that did was that a savior had arrived. She gasped and grabbed the leg to balance herself, looking up to see her benefactor. A scream of horror escaped her lips. It was that same ghostly face haunting her. The ghost had a pair of childish pig tails, dressed in leather trenchcoat and trousers, with weapons strapped to her…a complete assassin's gear. She grinned at Nancy and waved at her, batting her lashes. A scream escaped her lips a

Crescent Waves Corporation. “Zenith group hasn't replied till now. What could be wrong? They normally got back to us within twenty-four hours. They can't be changing their minds, right?” Nancy was incredibly worried as she stared intently at the computer screen, waiting for the confirmation email. Jason patted her shoulder. “Don't worry, they will reply. They were the first to reach out, why will they back out now?”Nancy wasn't convinced, for some reason dread filled her heart. She felt hollow, it was as if something huge and unfavorable was going to happen to her. “Zenith is a big group, and there are rumors it's connected to that mysterious Dominion consortium. Crescent Wave is a new company that just rose to fame. What if they decide to work with others?”“I have someone at Zenith, I will pull strings to get you the contact. Don't worry.” Jason pinched her cheek with a soft smile, and she looked up at him. “You're still the best.” He leaned down and took her lips in a consuming

Daydreaming
Nancy felt her head spinning, the world around her turned blurry. Mocking words and whispers from the guests she had invited to show off permeated the room like poison. “What just happened now?”“What do you think? The people that just arrived to pick him up mentioned that she cheated on him. He must have discovered she cheated, so she wanted to kill him to hush it up.”“It must be with Jason Marlowe. I knew that bastard was up to no good, always hanging around someone else's wife like flies to rotten eggs.”“Damn! Women are vicious.”“She wasn't the one who pushed him. It seemed to be that man beside her.”“This is crazy. I can't believe she would do this after all he had done for her.” The heiress of a fashion line whispered to her friend, shaking her head. “I knew her since college, she was from an impoverished middle class family. But after she married him, he gave her his company and turned her life for the better. Who would have expected she would treat her savior like this?”
I will make you pay
Nancy frowned, staring at him. Didn't Xavier love her the most? At this point, he should have been trying to make Ethan choose him, not asking for divorce. His indifference made her angry, but she held it inside and left to bring the documents. She had been used to being treated like royalty before him. No man had pampered her the way he had, even after he lost his legs. Seeing him detached unexpectedly made her unhappy. She was the one made to kick him away, while he should be the one clinging onto her. Jason laughed the moment Nancy left. “How do you like this surprise, Mr. Genius CEO? No, you're no longer a CEO. You merged your company with Crescent waves, and resigned to take care of my son.”He laughed again, his lips curving disdainfully. “I have seen many simps, but none was quite stupid as you.”He leaned closer to him. “Nancy has never loved you, she's mine, had always been. The kidney you thought you gave her is in my belly, the son you raised is also mine. I bet you mu
