Encounter with evil

"Who are you?" Sam asked, his voice sounding firmer this time, as he had tried to remain calm, because he had learned something from his aunt, his medium; When Sam had to face a situation of this type, the best thing he could do was simply remain calm, and not show fear, because where that was the case, any evil entity would be able to take his soul, and feed on it of your greatest fears.

The shadow hesitated for a moment, as if he was considering what he could say to Sam about his question. Finally, and with a perceptible tone of sadness, the sinister shadow responded:

“It's me, Sam. Now, I am part of you, of your soul, and I will be by your side forever."

The words echoed in the silence of the room, Sam was left perplexed, and this time, having more questions than answers. The ominous shadow has slowly faded away, dissipating into the air as if it were dust being blown by the strong night wind.

Sam remained in shock, his eyes staring at the place where the sinister shadow had been all that time. A cold and tense feeling spread throughout his body, as if it wanted to take over his entire spine.

What the hell had happened? What did everything that the sinister entity told you mean?

How the hell was that entity now clinging to him like that without him realizing when he did it?

That kept resonating in his mind, it was repeated over and over again, he knew he didn't really know what to do, and now all he had to do was wait for his aunt, the next day, to begin her plan to help him.

Silence once again took over the room. It was a deafening silence. Now, Sam could hear the nervous beat of his heart quickening in his chest, echoing in his ears.

Then, when he was able to do so, Sam decided to move, all that time, while he was talking to what was stalking him, he remained motionless, as if someone had glued his feet to the ground to prevent him from moving.

Sam moved, because he wanted to find the power switch and turn on the light so he wouldn't have to see his dark room anymore. With a quick movement, he turned on the light in the room that was just to his right side and near the door.

The darkness ceased.

The light appeared, and likewise, the terror that had flooded him from the first moment disappeared, not quickly, but he did so very gently, leaving Sam to live a calmer moment than he had been living a while ago.

He approached the bed, and for a few seconds, he stood there, looking at the window, everything had returned to normal, the wind stopped, because the curtains had stopped moving, warning that the wind had gone out, and calm and tranquility returned to the interior of the room.

Sam kept wondering: Could everything that happened have been because of a bad joke? Was someone trying to torture him? Had the liquor he had drunk with his aunt affected his head too much for him to have hallucinated all that?

He didn't know, Sam needed answers, and he didn't know how to find them at that time of night when his aunt should already be lying in her bed and fast asleep.

Then, without thinking further, Sam approached the door of his room again, which he had left open before, because Sam was used to sleeping like this, with the door wide open, but now, he had decided that it was best to close it, because he didn't want to have to be scared anymore, and he thought he wouldn't do it, only if he kept the door closed every night to go to sleep.

Sam closed the bedroom door, and even before returning to the bed to finally get ready to sleep, Sam remembered that he needed to do one thing; lock the door to his room, since by doing that, he would feel much safer and could fall asleep easily.

“Yes, that's better,” Sam whispered firmly, when his finger pressed the button on the door knob inward, and he heard a click sound inside him, confirming that he had locked the door.

Finally, Sam was able to approach the bed again, he lay down on it after having unwrapped the blanket.

He lay on his back, staring at the ceiling of the room.

The silence was still present, this time, deeper than ever, and instead of feeling nervous, Sam now felt a little calmer, it seems that his worst fears had intensified only at the moment of the appearance of the ominous shadow.

“Well, Sam, try to sleep, you have to rest, you have to sleep, you can't stay one more night without doing so, tomorrow you will talk to your supervisor about what happened, I just hope he isn't going to want to fire me for my decision” Sam whispered to himself while his gaze remained fixed on the ceiling.

His hands hugged his chest, and his breathing, thank God, had returned to normal, his heart no longer hurt from how hard it had been beating all that time of terror.

Little by little, his eyes begin to close, letting everything around him begin to turn dark, warning him that he would soon fall deeply asleep, however, and just when Sam thought he could rest in peace, at that moment when his eyes They were finally closing completely to go to sleep, that was when Sam saw him, and his heart once again froze, and Sam knew then that things at that moment were worse than he had ever imagined would.

Well, before his eyes, one of the worst nightmares that Sam could ever have in his entire life appeared.
