Chapter 14: Return

Shi Yan returned to his seat. He started planning things.

After a while, Yana arrived as well.

"The materials will arrive in two weeks, what will you be planning next?" Yana asked.

Shi Yan contemplated first before replying: "Can I not return here for a week or more?"

Yana replied immediately: "Yes, you can stay in your world for as long as you can, the same thing applies in this world as well."

"It's just that, the door will only open a day after it's used."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "Okay, I'm planning to finish some things in my world first."

Yana nodded her head: "Sure, such things are understandable."

"Do you have anything you wish for me to do while you're not here?"

Nodding his head, Shi Yan replied: "I want them to rest until I'm back, prepare for their stay for a while, and also, provide them with food."

Yana nodded her head: "Do you have anything else in mind?"

Shi Yan nodded once more: "Nara said that there are 150,000 people, right?"

Yana nodded her head.

"How come there are only a few arriving?" He asked.

Yana replied: "It's the whole tribal places and the villages around the kingdom's territory, we've just gathered a few of them here."

Shi Yan frowned: "What will happen to those that didn't receive our help?"

Yana looked at him for a while before sighing, she then smiled: "Master, do you want to conquer the whole kingdom? I mean, if we asked, the empire would probably hand them to us kindly."

"T-this... no, I'm just asking."

Yana chuckled: "Master, I know what you're thinking, but do know that each kingdom has its own territory and rulers. Being a ruler means that you have people under you."

"That kingdom may be weak, but they are also doing their best to provide for their own people." Yana smiled at him pleasingly, she paused for a bit then added: "As we speak, the kingdom's ruler had already asked for the empire's aid six months ago, one more month and those provisions and aid will arrive."

Hearing this, Shi Yan nodded his head.

Yana then added: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

"Like for certain countries, if you help poor people within their country, it'll be considered nothing, but if you help everyone, it'll be a threat."

"It's literally the start of a revolution flag."

Shi Yan looked at her and frowned: "I never thought of that before, sorry."

"It's fine, no worries about it." Yana smiled, nodded her head, and went away.

After a while more, Shi Yan thought of something,

He went to where Garun was staying.

"Master, you've come?" Garun asked with a smile.

Shi Yan nodded his head: "I learned a lot of techniques, and I wish to test them."

Garun smiled, and with a respectful gesture, he answered: "Then, please come with me."

"You can practice as much as you want."

Shi Yan nodded: "Thank you."

Garun chuckled and waved his hand, saying to not mind it.

After a while, they arrived in a spacious area at the back of the mansion, it's like a training area with a lot of dummies.

Garun threw a sword to Shi Yan: "Whenever you're ready, master."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "I've learned some martial arts, it seemed to be embedded to my bone, but I think It's not yet finished."

Garun nodded his head.

Shi Yan breathed in, he closed his eyes for a bit, and when he exhaled, he looked at Garun and immediately dashed forward: "Empyrian Dragon Swordsmanship, 1st style, Dragon Gate!"

As soon as Shi Yan dashed forward, he aimed his training wooden sword at Garun's head.

Garun smiled and lifted his sword up.

As soon as the two wooden swords collided, Shi Yan used another technique. His wooden sword seemed like it was alive and immediately skids at Garun's sword aiming at his hand holding the sword instead.

Garun slightly twitched his sword, sending Shi Yan's attack thrown to his right.

"2nd style, Devouring Sky!"

Immediately, Shi Yan's body bent lower.

With a twist of his body, a circle motion of attack using the motion of Garun's deflection, his sword made a complete 360 and aimed at Garun's head.

Garun lifted his sword and blocked it immediately.

Shi Yan immediately did another round kick aiming at Garun's feet.

But Garun just simply lifted his feet up to avoid it.

As Garun did that, Shi Yan immediately stopped midway and did a pierce aimed at Garun's stomach instead.

Garun just smiled and moved his body once more.

Three hours later.

Shi Yan laid on the ground exhausted as Garun stood there calmly without even a sweat.

Shi Yan breathed loudly as he looked at Garun: " I can't even hit you once."

Garun chuckled: "Master, you'll get used to it."

"I heard that you'll receive the power you want as soon as you return to your previous world."

Shi Yan's eyes brightened as he asked: "What do you mean?"

"Well, Yana is the one that's going to tell you, but, yeah, you need to think of the power you wish to possess, and the will of our ancestors will try to make it happen."

Shi Yan immediately stood up: "Are you sure?"

Garun nodded his head.

Shi Yan became excited, he immediately went back to his room.

After a while of pondering, Shi Yan went to Yana: "How many hours left until the door opens?"

Yana looked at him and smiled: "You're awfully excited."

Shi Yan smiled: "Well, I've started to make plans as well, and..."

Yana chuckled: "I guess Garun already told you of the power you'll gain exiting the door?"

Shi Yan nodded his head.

Yana smiled and answered him: "In a few minutes, the door will open."

"Prepare yourself."

Shi Yan nodded his head.

The two of them went to the door.

After a while, the door opened.

Yana then bowed to him slightly and spoke: "We will wait for your return."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "Thanks."

He then started walking towards the door.

after his transformation, he couldn't help but smile as he went in.

The blinding light assaulted his eyes, but he didn't mind, he just smiled as he looked at the mansion's vastness once more.

"It really feels like the same mansion no matter where I look." He smiled as he looked in front of him.

Also, at the same time, he found something that he quite love.

A notification appeared in front of him, he couldn't help but be excited.
