Sam was annoyed at how Alec winked back at him without fear.

"Who the fuck does he think he is?" He muttered.

"He is just a broke joke" Linda said with a sneer.

Sam saw Alec talking to the waiter who bowed respectfully to him and scorned. "We'll have the champagne!" He said loudly to the waiter at their table, making Jeremy and Alec look up. He smirked. "And the prime rib." He added, his voice loud enough for Jeremy and Alec to hear.

"What's his problem?" Jeremy asked.

"Money." Alec replied instantly.

Sam smirked deepened "And keep the wine flowing!"

Jeremy groaned "That guy needs to shut up"

"Or shut down" Alec said, then said to the waiter. "Let's start with the wine" He smiled.

The waiter stood in a polite pose, waiting for Alec to order.

"Red wine," Alec mentioned. He had heard a lot about red wines from the smug rich people, and now he was ready to buy one. "A fine bottle of red wine, please"

Jeremy grinned. "Something rich. Full bodied, you know?" He demonstrated with his hands as he talked.

The waiter bowed politely.

Sam watched how the waiter was being very respectful to Alec and seconds later, he was bringing an expensive red wine to their table. "Son of a bitch"

He looked at the waiter at their own table and snapped "Keep the wines flowing!"

Soon, Alec's table was being filled with fine meals. Filet mignon and truffle mashed potatoes.

"No way," Sam rasped. "How is he even affording all these things?"

"It's probably Jeremy that's paying for them" Linda said, sipping her champagne.

"You're right," Sam agreed, still watching them. He relaxed for a while but sat up uncomfortably when he noticed something. "Why are the waiters respecting Alec like he's the new demi god of this restaurant?"

Linda also stared. She opened her mouth to say something insulting, but she swallowed her words when she saw what the waiter brought to Alec's table. "Oh my God, a lobster tail"

Sam threw her a flat look.

"Don't look at me like that, you should speak with your money not your eyes!" Linda said harshly.

With a disrespectful wave of the hand, Sam called the attention of the waiter at their table. "Get me your most expensive dish on the menu" he said loud enough for Alec's table to hear.

"Aww, babe," Linda gave him a sweet smile. "You are the best."

Sam smiled confidently. "I know"

Soon, Sam's table was served a large gold rimmed plate of truffle stuffed steak. The design was completed with beautiful edible flowers and a saffron glaze.

"Yes," Sam grinned smugly. "This is it!"

He glanced at Alec's table and did a mock toast with his glass of champagne, then he sent a wink afterward.

However, Alec was not moved by that. He quietly called called for the waiter to ask; "Can I get the off menu special dish for tonight?"

"Certainly sir, we—"

"Get me the most expensive one you have, please" Alec said with a smile.

The waiter smiled broadly and gave his usual polite bow before getting to work.

"I feel like the guy's gonna choke us with his bows," Alec whispered to Jeremy. "He's bowed like twenty times in less than an hour. And if he bows one more time, I'm gonna scream."

"You won't"

"You're right" Alec said, pressing his lips together.

Moments later, Alec's large table had the special meals neatly arranged on it.

Even from afar, anyone could see how it looked like a table set for a King with the stunning presentation of the seafood dish and the white truffles that looked like something from Italy.

"Damn, even the plating alone looks like art" Jeremy commented.

Alec nodded in agreement, totally impressed. He had never had anything like this in his whole life and it was crazy that he could easily have it now, especially in the presence of the people who once thought he could never step foot here, let alone eat here.

"Oh my God, Sam," Linda couldn't help but point her finger towards Alec's table. "Look!"

Sam's smile had faltered.

Linda was still pointing "Look at that!"

"Do you think I can't see it!" Sam snapped, his jaws clenched. "And stop pointing for fucks sake, you're embarrassing me"

"You should also stop acting like a spoiled child, and do the right thing!" Linda snapped back. "Can't you see you're embarrassing me too?"

Sam sighed "Okay. Okay," He snapped his fingers to get the waiter's attention. "Bring me that too..." he gestured with his head toward Alec's table. "Whatever meal's on that table, I want everything"

"I'm sorry sir," The waiter apologized "But chef only prepared enough for one tonight. That was a special request"

Sam glanced at Linda who was glaring at him.

"Don't look at me like that," she said, giving him her sassy look. "Do something."

"Fine!" He breathed. "Bring me...a 2005 Petrus"

Alec was staring at the red wine he had not touched yet, when he remembered the other expensive wines he had heard of but never had the chance to touch the bottle, some he never had the chance to see in real life, not to mention touching them.

"Uh, Jeremy?" He called.

"Hmm?" Jeremy hummed, his mouth protruded as it was filled with the large piece of steak. "This shit tastes amazing" He managed to say with his mouth full.

After chewing and swallowing, he glanced at Alec. "So you were saying?"

"I...."

Jeremy sipped his water loudly and Alec gave him a look. "Sorry," He quickly apologized. "But I'm just feeling great at the moment"

"Trust me, I know that feeling..." Alec said, remembering;

Two billion dollars, thirty hours.

Now, less than seven hundred million dollars....less than twenty five hours.

He darted his eyes to Sam and Linda who were shamelessly watching Alec's table intently.

The corner of Alec's mouth lifted. "I have a question, Jeremy"

Jeremy stared at Alec, and it didn't take him long to understand that the guy was up to something. Something big.

It's been a few hours since Chad and his minions left, and they had not appeared in the restaurant. "Are you sure he's still gonna come back?" Jeremy asked Alec eagerly. Alec raised his head and stared into space, just as he was about to say something, Chad and his guys strolled in haughtily. "Oh, God" Jeremy whispered. "They are back!" Chad marched straight to Alec's table and stood in front of him like a man ready for war, his minions as expected, emulated him. "I am back" He announced arrogantly. "Chad Williams," Alec called out loudly, rising dilatorily from his seat. "What are you doing here?" "What am I doing here?" He pointed to his own chest. "Or I should be asking what you are still doing here?" "I am having lunch." He waved his hands over the table. "You know," Chad took a threatening step forward "You're actually bolder than I thought." "So are you," Alec shot back, his voice deep, his tone menacingly slow. "You really came back" "Yeah, I came back" "Welcome bac

Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action. "Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit".Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole.""Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Al

"Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." Sam had been furious about what had happened at the restaurant last night and wasn't ready to let it slide. Today, he had a lot prepared, just to get back at the poor boy who humiliated him. Linda narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend but didn't say a word. She didn't even know what to say, all she could think about was what Sam would need a cheap wine for. Soon, the waiter arrived with the wine, and for a second, Sam's eyes lit up. "Now..." He pointed to Alec's table, his eyes now hardened again. "You're gonna send it to that table""That...table??" The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong
