Jeremy glanced at Sam's table, then at Alec.

"Okay," He said, unable to hide his smile "Tell me, bro," He picked up his cutleries, handing them like one from a wealthy home. "What are you up to?"

Alec shrugged. "Just wanted to confirm some things before doing anything."

Jeremy gave him a brief, pointed look. "So, what's your question?"

Alec caught sight of Sam's 2005 Petrus arriving. The arrogant boy had smiled like a fool, and his girlfriend giggled, flipping her ironed hair repeatedly.

The wine was poured into the glasses, and Sam held up his glass drammatically.

Alec couldn't help but laugh at Sam's immaturity, then he asked Jeremy. "Wines can be an investment, right?"

"Yep."

Alec called the waiter and whispered something to him. Soon, Alec received a Domaine de la Romanee Conti 1985. It was served by the sommelier himself who wore white gloves.

Sam saw this and choked on his wine. "What the hell?" He muttered under his breath.

Alec did not bother to look at Sam's table, not even a peek. He was staring at the sommelier's clean gloves and smiled. "I love your gloves. Very white"

The sommelier looked pleased, but Alec was more pleased. He had gotten the respect and attention of a professional sommelier. That was never in his wildest dreams.

"Can you tell me what this wine is again?" Alec asked, pointing at the bottle.

The Sommelier showed his teeth in a big smile "It is a Domaine de la Romanee Conti 1985"

"That sounds... complicated" Alec said, clearing his throat.

"Complicated enough to make Sam boil" Jeremy remarked, grinning from ear to ear. "I am loving this"

Alec let out a short laugh.

"Babe, look what they got again" Linda cried, staring hungrily at the expensive wine on Alec's table.

Sam gave her a dry look.

"You have to do something!" She snarled.

"Get me a bottle of Penfolds Block 42 Cabernet Sauvignon 2004" Sam pronounced slowly and audibly.

Linda sipped her drink, pleased. "Yes"

The waiter brought the wine as requested and Sam laughed like a mad king. "No one beats me in this game, baby!"

"Of course" Linda agreed, dusting imaginary dust off Sam's shoulder "No one."

Sam, now filled with pride as he saw that nothing had been added to Alec's table, rose from his seat and sauntered to Alec's table.

"Are you enjoying the show?" Sam asked with a cocky smirk.

"Oh, I am" Alec replied meaningfully.

"Hmm." Sam hummed, amused as he ran a cursory glance over Alec's table. "I see you got just a few bottles here"

Alec said nothing to that.

"Take a look at my table..." Sam waved dramatically to his table. "Full. Beautiful. Magnificent!"

"Oh God," Jeremy groaned. "Just go back to your table, for the love of God"

"Oh, I'll do that," Sam said sharply. "I will definitely do that.... after letting this little shit here know that he doesn't belong here"

Alec arched a brow, amused.

"You made a mistake coming here."

Alec let out a quick laugh. "Really, now?"

"Yes" Sam replied without blinking, but little did he know that Alec had bigger things in mind.

A waiter approached his table. "Mr Todd," he bowed and continued. "Your wine case has been packed."

Sam blinked and questioned the waiter. "Wine case?"

Jeremy jumped in to answer. "Yes. Wine case, you know what that is, right?" His brows danced. "A dozen bottles of wine.... Rare. Vintage, baby" He grinned.

Alec smiled and talked to the waiter. "You remember I want the wine case delivered?"

"Yes, Mr Todd, I remember," the waiter bowed slightly. "And it is ready for delivery. Would you like us to send it to your residence or your preferred wine store"

"How...how..." Sam trailed off, his brows creased. "He paid for a full wine case?"

"Yes, sir" The waiter replied.

"No!" Sam refused to accept that.

"Yes," Alec said firmly. "I bought a wine case"

"A wine case, rare vintage" He scoffed. "You know how much that is?"

"Yes, I know how much that is because I paid for it" Alec answered with a hard tone without blinking.

Sam laughed, "No, no, no, no," he shook his head. "Don't give me that shitty lie, Alec, you didn't buy no fucking wine case"

Alec did not argue anymore, only stared at him blankly.

Sam saw his unwavering serious expression. He frowned. "So you're saying you bought a what, five million dollars worth of wine case?"

"6.3 million dollars, sir" The waiter corrected.

Sam shot him an angry look, then faced Alec "You can't pay for a wine case, Alec, I know that."

A smile danced on Alec's lips. "Have you received the payment?" He asked the waiter.

"Yes, sir," The waiter replied immediately.

"Good," Alec's smile widened "I'd like to have the wine delivered to a store recommended by this restaurant"

Sam inhaled angrily and stomped off. "That son of a bitch bought a wine case!" He told Linda in a hiss.

"What?!" She exclaimed. "That's not possible"

"Yeah. Exactly. I said he was lying but even the waiter at his table confimed that he bought a 6.3 million dollars wine case"

"6.3 million dollars?" Linda questioned, her eyes wide.

"That's what the waiter said," Sam said, angrily gulping down a glass of wine.

"The waiter was probably lying," Linda thought aloud. "I mean there must be a mistake somewhere, right?"

Sam saw how Alec was laughing about something with Jeremy, totally unbothered.

Alec wasn't even trying to compete in the first place, but Sam had shown that he wanted competition the moment he switched his seating from premium to VIP, and even with all the power he tried to show, he still wasn't able to humiliate Alec like he easily did before.

His eyes twitched "You're going to pay, Alec."

With the irritation he was feeling, Sam called the waiter and ordered. "Get me the cheapest wine you have"

The waiter, confused by the order, blinked repeatedly.

"I said get me your fucking cheapest wine!" Sam barked.

Linda frowned at his behavior. "Sam, why would you order the cheapest wine?"

"Just wait and see what I'm gonna do, okay?" Sam said, trying not to snap at his girlfriend. "Do not question me."

"Sam, what's—"

"You're going to find out soon" Sam growled, cutting her off. His eyes were were completely chilly, and that was enough to send a shiver down Linda's spine.

It's been a few hours since Chad and his minions left, and they had not appeared in the restaurant. "Are you sure he's still gonna come back?" Jeremy asked Alec eagerly. Alec raised his head and stared into space, just as he was about to say something, Chad and his guys strolled in haughtily. "Oh, God" Jeremy whispered. "They are back!" Chad marched straight to Alec's table and stood in front of him like a man ready for war, his minions as expected, emulated him. "I am back" He announced arrogantly. "Chad Williams," Alec called out loudly, rising dilatorily from his seat. "What are you doing here?" "What am I doing here?" He pointed to his own chest. "Or I should be asking what you are still doing here?" "I am having lunch." He waved his hands over the table. "You know," Chad took a threatening step forward "You're actually bolder than I thought." "So are you," Alec shot back, his voice deep, his tone menacingly slow. "You really came back" "Yeah, I came back" "Welcome bac

Chad stood with arms folded across his chest like he owned the whole space, and his minions were there, standing behind him, idiotically copying his action. "Surprised to see me?" He smiled slyly. "Of course you are." "Yeah, I am" Alec responded casually. "'Cause last I checked you were thrown out a store for acting like an annoying little prick" Jeremy laughed loudly on purpose. "How dare you" Chad growled at Alec, leaning forward, his nose flaring, his hand grabbing the front of Alec's shirt. "You little piece of shit".Alec smiled at his reaction. "I was just talking about what happened, and I had thought you would disappear, but here you are, dragging my shirt like some pained asshole.""Shut up, poor brat. You know I don't stay gone for long." Some people in the restaurant saw what Chad was doing, but they chose to ignore that because it was Chad, the 'rich guy', rough handling Alec, the 'poor guy', and they didn't care about that 'poor guy'. "So, what do you want now?" Al

"Are you sure you want the seller to decide n—""Yes" Sam snapped. He narrowed his eyes at Alec. "He can't afford the mansion. He can't definitely pay a hundred and eighty million dollars, he's just playing a prank" He muttered to himself, and slowly, a smile bent his lips. "Ha. A prank that will get him in trouble.""This is how you wanna play?" Sam asked loudly. "Is this how you wanna play??" Alec asked back coolly. "I play well, and I win, Alec. Have you forgotten that?" Alec sat back in the leather chair. "Then the game is still on." ****A few moments have passed, Mr Cole finally cleared his throat to speak. "Gentlemen..." His voice was loud and solid. Alec did not reply. "Listen, Alec, this is a game for the wealthy ones only, but I am allowing you to be a part of it, so you should count yourself lucky" Sam added. Alec's eyes flashed to him. "A game." "Yes. A game," A leer crept up his face. "Or are you scared now? You want the game off?" "No..." Alec's eyes went back to the mansion listing, then back at Sam's over confident face. His jaw tightened. "The game is on, Sam""Good. Good" Sam's evil laughter echoed in Alec's ears. "And you should know that you're lucky I was not in the mood to beat your ass up the other time" "Yeah, tell him" Linda said in her irritating tiny voice. Alec glanced back and saw the object being smashed on the wall. He frowned. It was an egg. Another one came immediately and with his quick reflexes, Alec could see the object coming. For a second, it was in a slow motion. "Damn" He quickly stepped away before it could hit him on the head. He looked at the egg now broken on the floor. "what the fuck?" He cursed in a whisper. "Good morning, trash boy" A voice greeted tauntingly. Alec looked up, and just in front of his house, standing proudly near a Rolls Royce, with eggs in hands, were Sam and his girlfriend.Alec groaned in annoyance when he saw them. "What the hell are they doing here?" He asked no one in particular. "Told you that it's not over, didn't I?" Sam shouted, smirking. "Well, I meant every word." The waiter asked carefully. "Yes. Alec's table." Sam confirmed firmly. "Tell him it's from Sam Thomas, and tell the poor little dick over there that 'this is not over'" The waiter blinked, his feet not moving an inch. "Tell him Sam Thomas said 'this is not fucking over'," He said again with a raspier tone. "He'll understand." The waiter hesitated but eventually went to the table to deliver the wine...and the message. "From Mr. Thomas over there" The waiter said sluggishly, feeling awkward. "He said....that..." He swallowed "That this is not over" Alec arched his brows. "I see" He stared at the wine, then clicked his tong
