Jeremy smirked at Heidi as she talked about a particular young man. It was hard for her to forget how he slept like a dead man for good fifty four hours and woke up like a strong man made for wars.
"What do you think about the guy?" She asked, tapping her fingers rapidly on the upgraded computer keyboard in front of her. It was one of the company's belongings and there were other computer systems around her, most of them thoroughly upraged and futuristic in both appearance and function. "Jeremy, you aren't gonna answer?" She asked impatiently, flicking her eyelashes upwards for a second to give Jeremy a glance. "What do you think about that....that guy?" "What guy?" Jeremy asked back, pretending not to know who Heidi was referring to. "What guy?" She scoffed a laugh. "Jeremy, are you serious right now?" She halted her fingers on the key to reply sassily. "After this guy slept like a dead man for good fifty four hours, he is now like a popular celebrity around here" She pressed her red lips "Do you know the guy now?" "Ah" Jeremy chuckled, amused "Alec?" "Yeah" Heidi replied, "Alec" She resumed the movement of her swift fingers on the keyboard. "So, what do you think about him?" Jeremy opened his mouth to answer her question but was stopped by the vibration of his phone. "One sec" He murmured, already holding his phone and turning the screen on. He saw an alert of 5000 dollars and whistled, gaining a questioning look from Heidi. When he checked the details of the credit alert, he saw that the money was from Alec. "What?" He whispered. Alec sent him $5000? How? Was he not...Poor? Jeremy shrugged. Maybe Alec was not exactly a poor guy. Maybe Alec was one of those guys that hides their powerful identity, pretending to be poor and still taking all sorts of abuse. But was that truly the case with Alec? Jeremy stared at his phone's screen, rechecking the money that was being deposited in his bank account and the name of the sender. He chuckled. Alec did pay back the money as he'd said he would. In fact, he paid more. A text came in and when he read it, he knew it was Alec. He had just typed two words. 'Thanks, man.' 'You were supposed to send 2800' Jeremy typed and sent to Alec. 'Keep the change' Was his reply. Jeremy raised his brows, staring at the phone for so long. "Actually....you know what I think about the guy?" Jeremy went back to Alec's topic that Heidi had brought on earlier. "What?" Heidi asked eagerly. Jeremy looked serious for a second, then he was laughing, shaking his head "I actually don't know what to think about him" Heidi paused to glare at Jeremy, then shook her head, muttering something about guys being weird before she continued her work. **** "Okay. Okay" There was a pause from Alec after he uttered those two words. He listened to the person on the phone for a while before speaking again. "Alright. I understand..." The other person spoke again while Alec listened just like before. "Of course I can afford it," Alec said confidently and he stopped, processing the words coming from the other end. "Don't worry, I can pay for that...." He stopped when he got interrupted then quickly cut in. "I said I CAN PAY THE FUCKING Medical bills" Alec forced out. "Do you understand me?" He didn't wait for a response before he continued. "I can pay for everything, alright? Just make sure you start to give Mr Todd the proper medication, please" Alec went mute again as the other person began to speak again. Few seconds later, he was talking. "Yeah. Yeah. I understand. Thanks." The call ended. "I hate this doctor." He whispered harshly and sighed. "Okay....next thing to do" He mumbled, looking around his room. His eyes landed on his worn shoes, his old shirts, few learning materials "Oh, Alec," He shook his head. "Your belongings are shits," He turned his lips downwards. "Total shits." He shook his head once more as he did another scan of his room. He held the end of his shirt and started to pull it over his head. He threw it on the bed carelessly and was about to move to the bathroom when his eyes caught something in the mirror. His legs took him closer to the small mirror that was showing his upper body. He got a clearer view of his body and blinked fastly and repeatedly. "What?" He whispered audibly in shock. He inspected his body in the mirror, shock written over his face. With a finger, he poked himself at the side and got more surpised at the sturdiness and strongness he felt there. "Daaaeeeemmn" He dragged in amazement. "Look at my abs, man" He whispered, grazing his long fingers over the impressive lines in his stomach. His eyes slid sharply to his arms, and he could see the change in his biceps too. It was almost unreal. "Is this a dream?" He asked no one in particular as he began to flex his muscles. "Look at that muscles, I wasn't like this before" All of these changes Alec just observed were still a surpise him and he needed answers quickly. Only one thing could answer that. "System." He called. There was a short beep in his head. "Alexander Todd." "I really changed...fast, and these changes are....a lot," He raked his unarranged hair with his fingers. "Why's that? and is that....like, you know, a good thing?" "Affirmative." It answered the first question. "Physical recalibrations...." "Wait, recali—what?" "Recalibrations" "Okay, look" He exhaled. "I would appreciate it if you speak to me in normal, simple english, alright?" There was another beep. "Okay" "Good" He smiled at how the system obeyed him quickly without complain, using a simpler tone, and more importantly simpler words. He glanced down at his new, well sculpted body and went back to his question. "So, why all these changes in my body? Why do I suddenly have these muscles and all that? And you should know that I am not complaining, I'm just curious" "Binding initiation with the system resulted to your physical transformation" The system replied. "Hmm. So, are you telling me that the system, which is you, actually gave me all these....AMAZING six packs?" He asked, sounding amused. "No" "Wait, what? No?" Alec's words were rushed out. He squeezed his face. "So how did I get these abs, cause last I checked, a poor guy beaten and left dead in the rain does not work out in his unconscious state and have some amazing, beautiful abs in two days" "You are right" The system supported. "Of course I am, now answer my question" Alec mumbled with an eye roll. "Your enhanced physique is a byproduct of active superpower integration." "Active superpower?" Alec laughed. "Active superpower" He repeated "Yes" "Active superpower" He whispered, staring at himself for almost 20 seconds before smiling. "Cool" He pressed a palm to his chest, feeling it's hardness. "I still have a question" "Feel free to ask me anything, Alexander Todd" Alec couldn't help but notice how the system was really ready for anything from him. He sighed. "Right now....we are like, linked, right?" "Yes." Alec took in a deep breath. That one word from the system sounded heavy in his ears "Does that mean we are connected? Like, really connected?" He asked to confirm. "Yes, Alexander Todd." Alec ran his fingers through his messy hair again. Whatever this was....it was just the beginning and he had no idea what was coming next.Latest Chapter

Sapphire Store. Chad whistled with a smirk as he burst in like he owned it, even though he very much did not. “Yo, Theo!” he yelled, clapping his hands once. "Theo, my man!"Theo was there wearing a frown. He was dressed in the dull uniform of the expensive store, which was not a new thing that it was owned by Alec. Chad grinned. “Where’s my discount, cousin dearest?” The tall barely looked up. “We don’t do discounts for family. Or clowns.”“Oof, rude,” Chad said. "After all my nice hypes," he muttered, tossing his sunglasses on the counter. “You always get like this when you're broke?”“I’m not broke,” Theo muttered, his jaw clenching. “Oh right. You’re... employed.” Chad smirked and poked a price tag. “Man, look at you. From manager to shelf stocker. I’m so proud.”Theo did not say anything."So, so proud of you, man." Chad added with his smirk. Theo grabbed the scanner aggressively. “You here to buy or run your mouth?”“Both,” Chad grinned, then leaned closer. “Listen. Charit

The roaring sound of a luxury blender filled the large, open kitchen.“Sam!” his mother yelled over the noise. No response. "Saaaamuellll!" She screamed. "Yeahhhh!!!" He finally responded. “Do you want kiwi or mango?!”“Ugh, mango.” Sam replied from the giant couch, wearing sunglasses. The blender roared louder.Few seconds later....SLAM!The front door flew open.“Samuel!” his father barked, stomping in like a general. “Have you seen what I thought you've seen!?"Sam didn’t move. “Hi, Dad.”“Hi? Hi?! We sold the yacht, Samuel! THE YACHT! And why the hell are you wearing sunglasses for no reason again!?""It's fashion, honey," Mrs Thomas answered for her son. "Our son loves fashion.""Oh fashion makes him wear some freaking sunglasses for no reason when he should be worried at this moment!" Mr Thomas shouted. "Someone please tell me why my son is so not worried about anything.""Why should I be worried?" Sam asked casually. "Why should you be worried?!" Mr Thomas shrieked, his w
80...D' Young...
Alec stared at the large screen at the HEP showing the event for tonight, and later, he released a short sigh."'D' Young Charity Gala," he pronounced slowly."Yep," Jeremy grinned. "You know that's gonna be like the hottest event of the year. And it's gonna have hot, bad girls, you know?" He wriggled his brows. Alec rolled his eyes, but there was a subtle smile at the corner of his mouth. "I'm serious though," Jeremy went on. "I feel like It's gonna be one of the hottest events of the year. Well... if you’re between sixteen and twenty-three, ridiculously rich, and kinda addicted to competition, you can attend and enjoy it."Alec squinted at the elegant banner across the screen. "So charity, huh?” he muttered with a meaningful snort. "I bet fifteen out of twenty kids attending the event don’t even know what they’re gonna be donating to.""Donating?" Jeremy scoffed a laugh. "Man, they are not donating," he said, tossing a protein bar toward Alec. “They’re buying status. And tonight,

"Dad?" Alec called casually. "Hmm?" His dad hummed without looking up from his phone, his glasses resting gently on his nose and his mouth scrunched. "Uhhh," Alec blinked, bending his face to look at his dad's face properly. "Dad, look at me, I wanna talk to you."Alan briefly looked up. "You wanna talk to me?"Alec nodded. "Yes, dad""You know?...." Alan's mouth scrunched up more, his eyes showing he was annoyed with whatever he was seeing on his phone. "Know what, dad?""Hold on a sec...""Dad, are you having issues with your phone's operation?""No," Alan quickly said. Alec narrowed his eyes. "I can handle the phone," Alan said with a tight smile then added in a mutter. "Maybe your boss could've bought a less complicated phone for me.""My boss thought you'd like that model, that's why he bought it for you." Alec said with a small smirk, his brain flashing back to how he had scrolled through phones to buy online and chose the one his dad was using. So, yes, it wasn't Alec's bo

Alec paced the living room, his hands already clammy as he tried to calm his nerves. "Okay, okay," He stopped walking for a second. "Alec, don't panic," he breathed. "Don't. Panic," He repeated with a solid tone. "Alec, don't—"Beep. "Fuck!" He cursed in a harsh whisper. Then he started pacing around the room again. "Maybe Xander was just pranking me," He thought aloud. "Maybe it's just a...a warning, right?" He looked around like he was hoping someone would agree. "Right. Just a loud, screaming, ear shattering warning. That's fine. I mean I get those all the time, yeah?"BEEEEPPP. "Okay, no I don't."BEEEPPP "Can you fucking stop?!" Alec snapped in frustration. "No." Xander answered, brutally honest.Alec froze. "Xander," He called cautiously. "Listen I know what you're thinking, alright?" He held up a hand. "I know what you are thinking," he repeated with a slower tone. "And technically.... technically, I didn't say anything,"Silence. "Alright I said something," Alec confess
77...A spiritual crisis...
Alec still felt cold internally. He rubbed his arms, like that would help to warm him up quick. "Alec, say something about your subconscious." Jeremy said, watching him through narrowed eyes. Alec leaned back in his chair and sighed. "How did we even get to this for fuck's sake." He mumbled, feeling upset.Jeremy creased brows. "What was that?""Nothing." Alec mumbled, pushing his hair back. Jeremy waited a moment before speaking again. "I'm just letting you know now..." He looked at Alec straight in the eye. "I'm not dropping this topic until you say something.""You don't have to be so hard on me, Jeremy," Alec complained with a small frown. "I thought I was your best friend.""Stop it," Jeremy deadpanned. "It's not working.""What?" Alec gave him a disbelieving look."Yeah, that guilt trip is not working.""It should....""I'm not Alan," Jeremy said flatly, staring at his friend with a knowing look. "I'm not Alan, Alec. Your games are not gonna work this time."Alec scratched hi
