This is part of a Modern-day fantasy based on The Legend of Master Scrolls created by 7 powerful masters from around the Universe. Two young adults Phil and Kel set out their journey into the discovery of the Master Scrolls which will reveal to them the mystic powers to fight the Dark Forces. The 7 Ascended Masters guide them into various portals which allow Phil and Kel to understand the powers that will help them become strong in their fight to dominate the Zodiac Star event which is going to occur after nearly 5000 years. But Nikole noticed and stopped for a moment. She knew she had to make the story more interesting to keep their attention. "Wait," she said, sounding urgent, "this part is really important. You need to hear it." "The chalice can only be used by someone special, called the son of light, who guards a hidden realm with a secret seer. For two hundred years, the chalice has been dormant, its dark power sealed away by the seer's magic."

In this novel, humans have been killed almost entirely by the existence of beasts, which are animals that have evolved to the point of resembling demons incarnate in animals. So the food chain has been completely reversed, therefore, mankind has had to hide in a couple of islands in the middle of the ocean in order to stay alive, but this form of survival will not last forever. Get into the story of this dystopian world if you want to read a different survival novel with a darker approach, where the development of the story will be slow but satisfying to read.
