"What did you call me?" Logan asked, his voice thick with disbelief and surprise, he has been waiting all his life for someone to call him a dad. "You're back?" Maya Dawson’s voice cut through the air, tense with shock and an unmistakable hint of anger. Logan turned slowly, meeting the gaze of the woman he had spent five years dreaming of. "I never wanted to leave." His words came out as a plea, filled with emotion. Maya shook her head, with a cold tone. "You didn't just leave, Logan. You disappeared." Logan stepped closer, narrowing his eyes. "You think I abandoned you? It was your family, Maya. They forced me out. I fought my way back for you only to find you married to someone else." Her voice wavered as she whispered, "You have no right to come back and disrupt my life now. Richard is my husband." Logan's voice dropped to a low, intense whisper. "Is he my son?"
