In an alternate version of the future, the supernatural has manifested and a mysterious energy has been released as a result of a devastating war. Certain humans called Users have mastered use of this energy called the maegen, and after signing up as Wardens in the Maegen Guild, they join the fight against the Anomalies and Entities from the Veil. Half a century later, twin Warden Hunters Reon and Hikaru Rudson are given a new job by the Maegen: to hunt down the Entities that have escaped the Veil.
