Chapter 05: Attacking

If one could see how casually Li Xin is in killing these huge wolves, one would surely bow down to the magnificent way he handles his sword.

The sword method that Li Xin is using is more than just a swing and lift and falling down. All thirteen methods of the sword are displayed

It is One Sword skill. But he uses the basic methods of sword which is the Thirteen path of Sword. The One Sword technique is derived from the Thirteen Path of Sword.

The Thirteen Path of Sword is a basic sword art that any swordsman and swordswoman should learn, teaching the basic of using the sword and the variations in a sword attack

The sword art is not a matter of hacking.

If you are hacking, you are performing saber techniques rather than the sword art.

Therefore, the sword art is simply these thirteen techniques as a standard.

First seek to make each technique correct, then skillful, and then with practice will come artistry. the student first strives with the simple, then moves on to the difficult

And this basic skill is the one he uses. Even though his skill is powerful, Li Xin enemies had been wild beast and not normal people.

Even he wonders how he would fare against the heroes of the world. If not for something that he wanted in this mountain, he would probably already enter Jianghu

But since he already had a plan, he decided to stick inside the forest for another week.

As he was thinking of this, another wolf charged toward him. he simply makes a moves like he was drawing his sword.

But actually he gathers momentum.

Thirteen methods of using the sword. The first technique is drawing the Sword.

A force accumulated the moment he made that move, the wind swirls slightly around his sword.

Usually Li Xin would use this method to start a sword strike. Most of the time, they would be dead by the moment he finishes drawing his sword.

‘That does seem cool’ Li Xin thought to himself. Drawing his sword and then the enemy die immediately afterward.

That would make him look like a great sword master.

Drawing the sword divides into drawing from above and drawing from below.

When Li Xin got the Thirteen Path of Sword, the only way he could master all of the sword moves to the point of moving his sword to perfect precision and harmony with his footwork is because he learns the basic and perfected it

It would not be surprising to know that even some swordsman who have powerful skill had defect and flaws in their foundation of sword learning

But Li Xin did not have such weakness.

Each thirteen path of sword is a move of sword training.

And each move usually takes people days for genius, months for some who have deep comprehension to understand it essence and perfected the move.

Years for the stupid and decades for those without talents. Like dancers who train their dance movement every day.

To those who do not understand, they could not see the intricacies of the dance.

To them, the dance is already very beautiful and there are no flaws.

But to the eyes of the professional, they could see when a dance is performed, the angle of the shoulders, the movement of the fingers, the footwork, the breath of time it takes to change position and how it relates to the entire choreography.

And that is the same for sword moves. Why does a person stab forward a thousand time a day? To the eyes of those who were untrained, it is the same stabbing motion

But to those who knows, they could see whether the force is true or false, whether the movement is fake or real and whether there is flaw in that simple movement

But Li Xin skip all of this training by using almost all of his points that he got in the beginning to master all of the moves of the Thirteen Path of Sword

And so, when he draws his sword, there is no flaw. It was like he had trained almost all of his life to perfect this one move.

With this one move alone, he could be admired by many of the sword schools.

This is the first move, drawing the sword

Both the drawing from above and drawing from below use the full passive hand position, the back of your hand facing upward, center of your hand downward

That is the teaching of drawing the sword. But Li Xin had uses it not as simply as drawing his sword but gathering the momentum.

With this he reserves a bit of his use of inner energy

His sword draws from below and rises upwards, the group that passes the line of the sword is slashed by a potent sword slash, creating a deep cut in the ground and split the wolf into two.

His movement did not stop

Another one lunges and he cut another one, the momentum is not yet dispersing.

But now the sword is in the low position, the tip pointed toward the ground and Li Xin executed the second move the Dragging the Sword

Dragging the sword divides into vertical-blade dragging and horizontal-blade dragging

Vertical-blade dragging uses the half passive position, the center of the hand centered facing to the left

With horizontal-blade dragging, perform active sword circling with a full active position, the center of the hand facing upward, the back of the hand facing downward.

Li Xin modified the moves so that he dragged it from low position to upward again and then using his footwork, he swirls to appear beside the world that lunges towards him.

Like a spinning top, the sword light flashes, the wolf cut on the side into two, its intestine jutted out and spills on the ground while another wolf miss its attack.

When that one wolf attacks him from the front another one attack him from behind and there was another one that charges toward him from his left

All of this did not escape his senses

So, when he attacks he combines the sword moves and his footwork, easily killing one and dodges two wolf at the same time

Unlike the movies and television series, beast do not attack one by one.

Especially not these kind of drugged up beast.

If they could they might even swarm him.

But because of how casual he is killing these wolves, killing them and pushing them away with his kick, the five feet radius around him is an empty zone

When he slashes with his sword, the wolf would be cut like they were simply butter jumping into the path of a hot butter knife.

When he kicks, the wolf that is kicked would have its bones broken into fine dust and its heart exploded because of the force of inner energy that is imbued in his kick

Those who enters the radius would die.

Li Xin now had managed to get out of the encirclement.

Most of the wolves that he kicked out collide with the wolves on the periphery and there was a hole in the encirclement

He uses his lightness skill to quickly get out when they were in disarray.

But of course he did not run. Instead he goes out so that he would not be swarm and at the same time readjusting his position.

When he moves outside the encirclement, his feet floated one inch from the group and he glided backward like a kite being pulled back, the movement is very elegant, like a feather being blown by the wind, light yet swift.

Then as he landed   the foot moves in the direction of the left, the sword arm rises up, pointing forward and Li Xin makes his moves

Before, he waited the attack. Now, he attacks

The sword pointed forward, the tip of the sword shakes and tremble

Li Xin had imbued the power of his inner energy into his sword. If this sword is a high level sword, then it would not have such a reaction but this is a normal sword.

Even though it is called a Sharp sword, it is after all not like the Heaven Sword or Dragon Saber which could withstand the turbulent and violent inner energy that Li Xin is emanating

Li Xin himself knows that he needs a powerful inner energy skill to go further. But he did not want to buy from the system store.

Even though the system store even have the Mingyu Gong, Li Xin could not bear to buy it. If he tries to buy it with points, the points needed is very steep.

If he tries to buy it with gold, it would also take a lot.

Li Xin have a plan to amass resources after he goes down the mountain.

Gold is needed.

While it is also good having powerful inner energy, Li Xin believes it is too short sighted of him if he drains all of his resources for one inner energy skill

Mingyu Gong or the Inner Technique of the Radiant Jade is actually the same like the one in Gu Long story

It is the supreme cultivation technique of the feared Yihua Palace rulers.

Not only was the technique capable of preserving youth, it also generates an “internal” whirlpool – one that’s capable of sucking away an opponent’s energy and body heat.

It is a bit like The Star Sucking skill of Ren Woxing but without the flaws and weaknesses.

There is also the Nine Yang Inner skill and many others but the similarities of all of these inner skill is that it cost too much

So, Li Xin is waiting in the mountain for a fortuitous encounter

But before then, he had to deal with his inner energy which is very powerful but uncontrolled and at times lack finesse.

Fighting against a true master, they might even be able to direct Li Xin inner energy to somewhere else and negate the effect of his inner energy but against a group of large wolves, it is simply a bane for them

So, Li Xin makes his move and lift his sword.
