A huge hologram appeared in the large hall and a man, who doesn't really look like a man, he had white long beard, his hair was white, he was white, he looked like a professor, he was on white robe, but the strange thing about this man was his ears, they were longer than normal, and these shocked the six of the teenagers that were sitting there.

"Hello chosen ones, you have been brought here to attend our glorious Mage Academy, but before you can become a member you would have to pass through a test" the man from the hologram said with a placid smile.

"Hey hey we heard nothing about a test, we were told that we were chosen as scholarship students nothing more, and what do you mean by our glorious Mage Academy, we were admitted to Glorious Academy, there was nothing like Mage, are we in a movie? this ain't funny" Carter replied back, he was hot blooded male, who cannot sit still for a minute, when Carter was screaming at the hologram, Nicholas on the other hand was observing the man in the hologram especially his ears, was there need to edit his ears if he was just speaking to mere students and the man disposition was like nothing in this world could faze him.

Even the rest candidates that were quiet since then started speaking "Hey sir what's the test all about?" one of the three ladies spoke her voice was mellow and pleasing to the ears, she had a very cute bun, her purple hair which goes well with her big purple eyes, her red cherry lips were pleasing, she looks like a teenage beauty, she seems like the quiet observing type.

The old man if he could be called a man cleared his throat and was about to answer the girl's question, when another girl from the group said "What's with the ears? are you doing costumes?" A girl who let her ashburn hair fall to her shoulders, her cute nose tingled, her dark eyes that sparkled with curiousity, she was a another beauty, but she was impatient, Nicholas was looking forward to what kind of test they were about to do.

The large hall was empty to begin with just the seats, the six of them and the hologram, so their voices echoed when they speak, "Oh these ears" the old man touched his ears while smiling at us, "well they are real, they are not costumes as you have suggested but my real ears" the old man said like a grandpa speaking to his children, the six of them didn't know how to react to what the man was saying, the ears were real? is this old man senile? or this is just a huge prank?

"I will satisfy all your curiousity kids, if you pass this test" the old man who looked like an elf said while stroking his beard.

"All of you must survive here within one hour, the whole school is your playground, you can leave the hall if you want to, the only part of the test is survive one hour" the old man said while smiling and stroking his beard, with that the hologram faded.

"What kind of bullshit did this old man just spilled, what does he mean survive for one hour, does that sound like a scholarship test, or they just want to kill us off" Carter screamed fuming, his face was looking really scary as usual, he wasn't really happy with the whole situation.

The door of the hall opened they were two men who came in, one was the driver that took Nicholas to the school grounds and the hall.

They came in with six different bags presented one to each of them, and presented a wrist watch to them "your test will begin in exactly ten minutes, you are to get prepared within that ten minutes" one of the men said towards them.

"Hey what do you mean survive, are you guys playing with us or this is a stupid fun games for you guys?" Carter wouldn't let go he said while holding one of the men demanding an answer from them.

Meanwhile during the questioning and distraction Nicholas was checking the contents of the bag.

He found the things inside a little funny and their descriptions, there were varieties of strange looking balls with different colours inside, and different kinds of vials there, but with all this inside the bag was light.

Stun Ball - stun monsters for a period of two minutes

Cage Ball - trap monsters for a period of two minutes

Fire Ball - produce enough fire to burn level one monsters to ash 

Ice Ball - could produce ice to freeze monsters for a period of two minutes

Light Ball - produce blinding light for up to 30 seconds

Those were the varieties of different balls inside, there were three each in every bag, the stun ball was black in colour, the cage ball was purple in colour, the fire ball was red in colour, the ice ball was blue in colour and the light ball was yellow in colour.

High healing potion - it can heal most injuries except the person is beyond healing

Fatigue potion - it can restore fatigue spent by 50 percent

The two vial were dark green and light green and they were only one each.

Nicholas was scrutinizing the items in the bag and also the curious girl and the girl with the purple hair, the last thing there was paper showing four description of monsters.

Roach - level one monster, fast but weak, it uses it's large saw hand to cut people in half, it looks like a cockroach but more uglier and bigger.

Goger - level two monster, a bit slow than roach but also a bit stronger, it is green all over, it looks like a goblin but a bit bigger than one.

Hog Goger - level three monster, a bigger variety of a Goger, stronger and faster than it

Mammoth - level four monster, only disadvantage is it's slow, it's attack is one time kill, it's hard to kill due to it's hard skin, it's tusk are it's main weapon, it can shoot water attack, it looks like a huge elephant.

After reading everything and seeing the contents inside, Nicholas got a very bad feeling about this test.

Meanwhile Carter who was still arguing with the men, who finally ignored him and left was still fuming.

Nicholas looked at the wrist watch in his hands three minutes left for the test to begin.
