Finally, Sean felt safe for the first time since he's been in this game. There is a place that they are in, Sean looked around and realised it has lots of dirt in it. After a little clearing work on the underground hideout, Sean felt tired. 

Lyla still had her guard up, listening carefully and inspecting their surroundings, after making sure that there was no intruder, she stopped and settled down. She stole glances at Sean and asked him

"You did a great job out there, what were you doing before the devil came?"

"I… uhm…I was a wrestler"

"Wrestler? You don't look like one" 

Lyla looked at Sean all over again and confirmed that he just looked like a normal man. Except for his tough skin and a few bruises that he's got on his body which he got through labour, he's just a normal man.

"Yeah, I just started training and I never won a fight against my colleagues"

In this underground hideout, there is only one bed and one sofa which clearly Lyla must have seen in the building before moving them to the underground. 

Lyla remade the bed and sat on it. Although it's still dirty, it's a little cleaner than it was.

"The best way to keep devils away is dirts and dusts, they attack any places found clean"

Lyla's eyes never left Sean and Sean notice that. It make him feel awkward and he made sure while sitting down, he never made eye contact with Lyla. 

Lyla, although was the one who volunteered to bring Sean to her hideout, she is getting suspicious for some reason. 

Sean tried his best in neglecting her but she soon stopped him

"I'm sorry, I do suspect anybody I brought to my hideout. You are not the first, some of those I've brought here, they steal my food and weapon and run away, some died. So I can't let down my guard no matter who's with me"

"I understand you, that's the best way to be safe in this apocalypse. The guy who was robbing you, I've met him earlier today, he offered me his home but I didn't trust him so I stayed in that building"

"The point is, I can only let you spend the night here with me and I'll feed you and treat you but you'll have to leave before nightfall tomorrow "

"Thank you"

Sean wasn't looking for a safe abode either. He just needed to kill a devil general and he was done with this. Although he wanted more information about this world from Lyla, he felt like this was not the right time.

Although this was a game, the NPCs seem to have the mind of a man. If Sean make any suspicious move or says anything out of the world, the aftermath won't be good.

Lyla gave Sean a box of medicine to treat himself which he took. While applying medication on himself, Lyla went to another corner of the room and cleaned up herself and her bruises.

When Sean finished applying medication on himself, he tested on the sofa, feeling very tired. He shut his eyelid as darkness filled his vision and with every breath he took, he recovered his stamina, and he had some rest.

He was mentally tired though

His brain has seen and done things that he never thought would do in his whole life; he killed his first man today.

Right, it was an NPC but it felt so real, especially when there are blood stains on his hands and clothes.

His head aches as he is remembering those awful things and it takes him a while before he can fall asleep.

Liu's father does not know what other way to console his son and stop him from feeling guilty but he does know that Trina is not going to die.

He wasn't sure but through his magic, he can still feel the sign of life from Trina

Trina while being unconscious read all the words in her vision then she sneezed and opened her eyes.

Liu and his father heaved a sigh of relief when they heard Trina sneeze.

Liu instantly pulled her out of the bathtub and bugged her with lots of questions like 'are you okay, did you feel anything bad, what was happening to you?'.

Although he didn't get any answer from Trina, he still changed his words too 'thank goodness you survived, I was afraid, I was alone, I was…"

"Enough Liu, you will make her pass out again with your bugging words" Liu father's stopped him

Trina felt dizzy when she opened her eyes and she couldn't see anything clearly. She rubbed her eyes over and over and when her vision was cleared, she felt the rest of her body. She felt the toughness of her skin and her nimbleness. She knew all this were the effects of the concoction, especially the part of the earned skill which she thinks she should keep a secret 

"Master…The concoction is good"

Trina commented after feeling the new strength that her body developed through the tempering from the aquarius leaf

"we don't think it is, it took the whole concoction and the aquarius leaf to save you" Liu out of fear denied the fact that the concoction is good. He knew his father have to believe the same or height just force them into finding more aquarius leaf and make more concoctions

"Does the concoction have any effect on your body?"

 Liu's father asked with a little hope that something different happened

"yes master, my body seems to be harder and i think I have some immunities to fire and ice cause I can't feel any heat eom the one right now"

"are you joking" perplexed, Liu asked

"are you saying you earned a yin yang skill" Liu's father asked in excitement, he have always known that the aquarius leaf is capable of tempering the body at giving the body immunities for ice but now, yang energy is added

"I don't know what a yin yang skill is…" Trin intentionally denied, she can't blow up her cover too soon and expose the existence of the system to the NPCs 

Out of excitement of accomplishment, lius father took Trina out of the cottage to where the firewood is

"Come on here, let's test it out. Lit the fire"

Trina looked at the fire wood again, the fire has been put out by water and the sticks are wet. She does not know how real  this skills are but she just have to do what her master wants

"Uhmm, I'm not a magician yet so maybe I do know how this is to be done. I might have the skill, but I don't know how to use it yet. I need your teachings master"

Trina tried to make things go south but Liu's father has made up hisind to know whether Trina earned a skill or not. 

"There is no teaching in magic ones foy hat the skill, just will it on your mind and lt will be done"

Trina after wrestling with herself whether she should do it or not finally stretched out her hands at the firewood with the will to burn it; instantly, fire shot out from his hands and hit the firewood and it burned.

"this is great, you will make a good guardian" Liu's father concluded

" Hey, I'm happy for you. Anyway, we go night guarding tonight together"

"sure"

Trina was , she just did something out if the ordinary. Of course to Liu and his father it might be normal but to her, who'd seen magic before, she doesn't know how she is feeling right now.
