“I would like an order of black coffee with a muffin by the side if you don't mind.”

 “Coming right up!"

 Rex had not always been a student at the prestigious Jared magic University, he had been a regular guy that only ever came out of his apartment to visit his favourite coffee shop and then crawl right back in like a shell.

 Until something happened that totally changed his life.

 It had been a totally uneventful Thursday afternoon and he had come to the shop at a time that you will show had fewer customers so he would not have to bother with interacting with too many people or standing in a long line and just get his coffee and be going his way.

 But then it seems like life had other things in store for him. After he made his order instead of the strong scent of black coffee reaching him it was the toxic smell of smoke that got to him first.

 The coffee shop was on fire.

 He didn't know how the fire started. All he knew was that it immediately engulfed the entire shop without any mercy. He got up to run to the door but then everybody was in a frantic panic and someone knocked him over his table and he twisted his ankle so badly that he could not even move properly.

” Somebody, somebody please help me!“

 He called out as the burning flames came surrounding him like a wall, and the smoke was so thick that nobody would have easily noticed him and so he has abandoned practically as the flames finally a team of without any mercy he thought that it was finally over for him and tears ran down his cheek when he realized that he had never been anything worth remembering in life.

 Then before his last second, he wished with all of his heart that you could have another chance even if it wasn't in this world to be something else, to be someone that people could remember and then everything faded into black.

 He was surprised as his eyes fluttered open to be looking at a sunny sky that looked so unfamiliar to him, it was because he had been transmigrated into another world as a student of the prestigious Jared magical University.

 ” I can't believe this... I guess I got another chance after all,“

 He said his heart was thumping like a drum.

” And this time I'm going to give it my all!"

 He threw his fist in the air with a smile that was far too big for his face that went up all the way to his ears.

In their first class, they were taught about gathering energy, their professor who was a slim lanky man demonstrated it with wind gathering up enough to suddenly release and almost blow them right off their seats.

“I knew you people were not expecting that but that is the point of excelling l in this university, we are exceptional and we always do the unexpected...”

“ Or maybe you're just crazy...”

The girl sitting next to Rex mumbled that she fixed up her hair casually fixing it back to her hair as if nothing had happened.

 “Did I hear something over there?"

 The professor says immediately came over to Rex's row of seats.

 ” Yes, I think I heard something about me being crazy?“

 Before Rex could even bother to try covering the issue, the girl with the wig was already stabbing fingers at him. He just stared at the girl totally stunned about how she just turned everything to him without the slightest prick of conscience.

 ” Oh, you think I'm crazy? the dear boy you haven't seen anything crazy now let me show you come down here...“

 Rex had to do that because he knew that arguing with the teacher now would probably just put him in more trouble and so he just went down to face him.

 ” What is your name, young man?"

 Even though he was obviously furious he maintained a jovial smile on his face as he asked this question.

 "R-rex, Sir!"

 The man nodded.

“Ok Rex, I think that not everyone is really following this lesson. Maybe you can explain a little more to them about gathering magical energy...”

 Rex was not really a public speaker kind of guy but he tried to maintain a good posture explaining the topic as best as I could but then the professor cut him halfway.

 “Young man, I still don't think that the class is following. Maybe you can perhaps show them?"

 Everyone in the lecture hall gasped,  everybody was a complete novice and their closest experience to gathering energy had probably been read in a book and not actually experienced.

”Sir?"

 “If you can't do something as simple as gathering energy at your stage then I'll have no other choice than to help you gather the materials for an expulsion letter...”

 Rex now understood why he heard that the school had such a huge dropout rate the place was really cut-throat she didn't want to leave now the only way he was living here was graduating and becoming the greatest wizard ever so he blocked out all the voices you were hearing and instead he felt the energy around him and then he commanded it to his palm.

 And then in the snap of an eye, something appeared. At first, it looked like the tiny flame on top of a candle, the professor's eyes widened with complete shock. This was literally Rex's first class and he could already gather energy?

 Then in a minute, the small flicker of flame had grown into the size of a torch and finally, the professor told him to dispel it.

 “This is incredible!" he exclaimed, `` not even the greatest wizard in history, I've been able to conquer a magic like that in just a minute!"

 And that was how Rex became the wonder of the first year of Jared magical University.
