The King Of Terror

Seeing the aftermath of his evil deed, The Red Shadow clicks his tongue and drags the dead body through the woods at full speed.

The Red Shadow halts when he arrives in front of an old-looking cottage in the heart of the woods. He stands in the same place, observing the whole niche.

He felt the dark aura that was looming all over the cottage. Sounds of cackling vultures echo in the dead of the night. Taking a closer look at the cottage, the red shadow notices a talisman placed at every corner of the cottage.

A sinister grin slowly spreads across its face. The Red Shadow closes its eyes and inhales deeply. A great gust of wind hits the cottage, forcing both doors to burst wide open.

Inside the cottage is a woman, sitting in front of a red mirror with a dragon skull encircling it. Her eyelids flicker, revealing terrified eyes.

The Red Shadow drags the Dead Bat Beast into the cottage with vigor.

Swallowing hard, the woman pretends not to notice The Red Shadow's presence while her heart hammers to her chest dropped inside her stomach.

The Shadow sneers as he watches her back. She pretends to be in the middle of some incantations as dark smoke encircles her. With a thud, The Red Shadow dumps the Bat Beast's dead body beside her.

She slowly rises from her sitting position and snaps her head around to face The Red Shadow. Meeting the eyes of the intruder, her eyes momentarily flicker in panic.

"Mergus!" the woman exclaims, her shaking palms forming fists.

"Surprise," the red shadow counters with a smug expression.

"It's you," the woman said in a cold voice.

"Right. There's always one king. Next time send a better opponent." He spits out the words like dirt.

Her face flushes red with anger as her eyes travel to the awful sight of her subordinate's dead body.

"Mergus, you will meet your end sooner or later, this I promise you," she says without batting an eye.

The said Mergus throws his head back in a fit of laughter before finding a seat for himself.

"I would like to see you try," he says, using his long nails to twirl his long hair.

The woman smirks as she glares at him.

"You, vile creature, are so full of yourself," she says, holding onto the hem of her large gown as she gets up from her seat.

Mergus' eyes darken, revealing a malicious glare, and amble toward the woman.

"Luella I am not here to play word games with you. I need answers."

She shakes her head. "Why are you here when you already know the answers you seek?"

Mergus grunts loudly enough to shake the place, leaving it in shambles. Luella steps back from the impact, holding her breath steadily as she meets his dark gaze.

He moves before her, trapping her fragile neck between his fingers and nails.

Luella's body shudders in fear as she struggles to breathe.

"This is the last time… I can't promise that your head won't be ripped off by my angels," Mergus says in a cold voice.

Luella grits her teeth. "You can keep on heading to different places for the same purpose. The prophecy will never change," she counters with a flushed face.

"A vampire child. Born with special powers, joining together with the forces of the other, will destroy you and your reign and bring peace to this world," Luella proclaims, her lips curving up in a mocking smile.

Mergus' forehead creases in anger. His hold on Luella's neck tightens while he bares his teeth.

Luella slowly closes her eyes in anticipation of her death.

Mergus growls vociferously and flings her to the ground. "I don't need the blood of an already dying witch to stain my hands," he says in a dark voice, before scurrying out of the cottage.

Luella holds her chest, coughing hard as she gasps for air.

She wobbly stands up while placing her hands on a pillar of the house to support herself.

Her eyes follow the disappearing back of Mergus. Pain and anxiety dance in her eyes. She glances back, stares into the red mirror, and sighs, her face downcast.

"Certainly, a blood bath is inevitable," she says in a slow voice, facing the red mirror before slumping down to the floor.

The atmosphere returns to normal while the night remains dead silent.

Mergus moves quickly and appears in front of a lake while his red cape ruffles behind him in the air.

A man in a black cape is standing in front of the lake, waiting for him.

"Milord, how was it?" the man asks, concerned.

"Nothing out of the ordinary," Mergus replies with a dark expression while his cold eyes stare ahead, out at the lake.

"Hmmm," the man sighs and looks at his master with a worried expression.

"Luke, what I need you to do, how is it going?" Mergus asks his subordinate.

"I have sent the message. I guess they will be waiting by now," Luke answers.

Nodding his head in understanding, Mergus glances back at Luke, who awaits his order.

"Let's head back."

Luke brought out a round –Golden plate[Time Travel Portal] from his space ring. He place it in the air in front of them and activated it.

They both step inside the light produced by –Golden plate and disappeared.

Not long after their departure, a figure in a dark robe emerges under the moonlight. His face is concealed by a silver mask.
