Chapter 3: Bread

[MISSION 3 COMPLETE! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING AN HONORARY CITIZENSHIP! PLEASE HEAD TO AN INN AND STAY THERE FOR A WHOLE DAY!]

Arthur saw the system notification and started getting tired and realized that this gate might take longer to clear.

Arthur saw one if the guards that was right in front of the building that he just came out from and walked towards him. "I am new here so would you mind leading me to a inn to stay at?" Arthur asked.

The guard that was approached stood still with the suffocating aura that Arthur didn't meant to realease and nodded.

As Arthur arrived at the Inn another system notification popped up,

[PLEASE STAY AT THIS INN FOR ONE NIGHT AND LEAVE IN THE MORNING]

Arthur sighed and went to the counter, "I would like a full course lunch, and get me a room for the night." Arthur said while taking out his Behemoth Bills to pay.

"That will be 5 large copper coins." The waitress at the counter said with a smile.

Arthur then froze as heard this. '5 large copper coins... I only have my Behemoth Bills with me!' He thought before he remembered that he still had some of the gold coins.

He then took out one of his gold coins and put it on the counter. "Will this be enough?" Arthur asked.

The waitress who saw the gold couldn't believe what she was seeing and almost had her jaw dropped. "Sir, this much is a little too much even for us to give you your change." She said.

"Nevermind. Keep it. If I come back here just deduct it from that gold coin." Arthur said before sitting on his table.

Seeing that Arthur was using a gold coin, the waiter ran to the kitchen and ordered the chefs to prepare everything for him with the top quality.

And the chefs delivered just that with a medium rare steak, just like how Arthur likes it.

And after staying at his room he realized that this place was very peaceful. 'What coould my mission be in this peaceful kingdom?' He asked himself before closing his eyes to sleep.

The next day he exited the building and was met with a another system notification.

[PLEASE INCREASE YOUR POPULARITY WITH GOOD DEEDS.]

"Good deeds?" Arthur asked himself while reading the system notification. He looked back at the waitress that he gave the gold coin to and walked towards her.

"Hey you know the gold coin that I handed to you? Just keep it as a tip." Arthur said while walking out again waiting for another system notification before realizing that there was more to the system notification than to meets the eye.

"Didn't it say that I have to increase my popularity with good deeds?" He asked himself before walking away from inn and started brainstorming.

"How am I gonna get popular with good deeds?" He asked himself again before remembering what politicians would do before tehir elections.

In Asia they would hand out foods to poor people.

"Maybe, I could do that. Or maybe... I could create some trouble and and solve it and pretend that I am the hero of the day..." He asked himself before remembering if he got caught, he wouldn't be able to fix his self image. "Guess I've got to go with the traditional politician way then..." Arthur said before walking to the bank that was near.

As he approached the bank one of the guards that saw Arthur in the previous building came closer to him and greeted him.

Arthur smiled thanking God that everything is going his way. "Hey would you mind telling me how is a gold coin worth?" Arthur asked.

"A gold coin?" The guard asked.

"Yes a gold coin." He replied.

"Well, a gold coin is normally used by nobles or rich merchants and rarely used by normal citizens. With one you could buy the best horses or even a small mansion." The guard said.

"Huh, I see. Thank you." Arthur said before taking $10000 of his Behemoth Bills and truning it into ten thousand gold coins.

Knowing that he could do pretty much whatever he wanted, he smiled and turned to the guard again. "Do you know where I can find a bakery?" Arthur asked.

Few minutes later, Arthur bought all of the bread in the bakery and had all of the bread in his inventory.

The guard that saw him couldnt believe that Arthur was spending gold coins like it was nothing. Who would buy that much of bread? The worst part was Arthur bought all of the bread that was available at the city for that day.

"Now, is there any orphanage house in the city?" Arthur asked.

The guard nodded, " Yes, there are a lot actually." The guard said.

"Lead me to one." Arthur said before being lead to one of the orphanage house nearby.

There were kids playing in front of the crooked building with sticks and a old woman looking after them.

Arthur walked over to the building and it seems to have scared the kids and the woman there. He walked closer and closer to the old woman and she closed her eyes expecting him to cut her down.

"Are you the ones taking care of the kids here?" Arthur asked.

The old woman opened one of her eyes and after confirming that she is alive, she looked at Arthur and smiled, "Yes I am." She replied. "How can I help you?" She asked.

"Would it be okay if I donate bread to this place?" Arthur asked.

"Bread? Yes of course! We will accept bread! The kids haven't gotten any for a long time." She said while her smile got brighter.

Arthur looked back at the kids and saw that the kids were nothing but stick and bones. It looks like they have been fed nothing but crumbs.

Arthur took out one-tenth of the bread that he had in his inventory and it still piled up pretty high.

The old lady who saw this much of bread couldn't believe what she was seeing. "I think this is too much... Even if we distribute all of this bread to all of the orphanage houses in the city, there will still be a lot of bread left." She said.

"Very well, then. We will go to all of the orphanage house in the city and distribute the bread." Arthur said while taking the left over bread.

He then travelled all across the city to give away the bread to all of the orphans but still had a lot of inventory.

He then travelled to all of the old folks home and still couldn't give away all of the bread.

Eve when he gave away the breads to the homeless people in the city, there were still left overs.

"Sigh, I need to give away all of this bread as fast as possible." Arthur told himself before running to the building where the captain of the guards was working at.

As Arthur arrived at the building the guards that were there welcomed him with a slight and bow. He ran into the captain's room and saw that the captain was not alone there.
