"What do you mean, last of our kind?" he asks me, clearly confused.

"I mean as it is right now, most of our kind has been wiped out. killed to put it simply." I say to him looking around the room, it's huge.

"Then why am I here?" he asked, his eyes looked deep in thought, clouded, even without me reading his mind, I could probably guess what he's thinking.

"why are you here? two reasons, first I want to know about the shadows, and second is because with your Stunt you pulled in the school, you're a target now." I say to him, and he looks up at me,

"Then how did you hide your race from me, I'm your kind yet I didn't notice it, only felt familiarity." he said, it didn't sound like a question, more like a follow up, meaning he too wanted to hide his race if it helps.

"I evolved, that's a better way to put it. just like the gift from the moon Goddess, I got another one, and that's why I could evolve." I say to him and get on to the next topic at hand.
