Afterword

If you are reading this afterword instead of reading the story, then, please go and read the story first!

However, if you are here after following the gruesome journey and the end of Kageyama Kage, then, I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart to have given this novel a chance.

Now, then, about this story.

You know, we humans, are contradictory in nature. In the little things we do and speak, there is always a small contradiction there. We might fail to notice them, but it doesn't mean we don't contradict ourselves. Similarly, we humans, also go through our fair share of hardships and pain. It is inevitable. I have had my fair share of them and you all have too.

This story, 'How My Life Was Ruined', is a story where the contradiction is exaggerated - no - overexaggerated and at the same time, I (being the overthinker I am) took the various problems people around me faced and converted it into a story. A story where we don't see a redemption arc. A story where all that awaits is a pathetic end. After all, not all stories have a good end. There are many stories in this world that have ended as miserably as Kageyama's and I just felt the urge to write such a story. So, I began writing this story purely for myself on W*****d. Then, I eventually went to publish the story on W******l. And that was when Adam contacted me and talked about moving this story to Meganovel.

I was really happy when I got his invitation and through his help, I managed to get contracted and this is where it brings us. Artis Yusi, my editor, also helped me a lot during the period of writing this novel. I am really thankful to the two of them.

And, yes, of course, I am thankful to all the readers as well. Thank you for reading this story till the end. This was my first novel so there may have been a lot of mistakes but I hope to improve as I continue to write.

I know that this was a disgusting, revolting, pathetic, miserable, and messed-up story of a messed-up boy. But if this story managed to evoke any emotion in you readers - whether it made you angry, hate the characters, love them, feel pity towards them, you loved the story, or felt disgusted by it, if I managed to bring forth any sort of emotion from you, then I would think that I did achieve something, however little it may be, as a writer.

Thank you all for sticking to the end!
