The Bank

...what the heck is happening to me, how did I make it disappear? Am I in control of this thing?... He muttered to himself as he kept observing his body for he was only putting on a trouser at this point in time and was yet to take his bath. Whilst he was muttering, he thought of himself having wings and all of a sudden,

Vlooop!!

The wings popped up again and he was like,

"Wow!" This time, he was a bit excited though scared of having something of that nature change his appearance and making him look angelic... As he stared at the wings through the mirror, he kept wondering how possible that is, that he now possess's wings... While he admired it, he soon imagined not having wings at all and instantly, he watched as the wings shrunk and vanished again. He felt the difference in strength, because he could feel he has so much energy when the wings was there, compared to his normal self when the wings was gone.

[Deep breath... Exhales...]

He quickly imagined himself having those wings after trying to convince himself to believe that this was really happening and that it was not a dream, and,

<Vlooop> the wings showed up again. In those moments, he knew he was the one in charge and controlling the celestial-like wings from his mind. He tried it over and over again, and each time he thought of it not being there, coupled with a calm mindset that everything is just fine, the wings was sure to vanish, and whenever he wanted to see it, as he pictures it being there, it was also sure to pop out. Gabriel gained mastery of the wings showing up or vanishing in the space of thirty minutes as he went to have his bath. He never wanted to think of it again as at the time he wore his blue suit, looking like a business man because he was going to see Mrs Finn who is now going to be his bank manager. He ensured that the wings never showed up because he believes it was going to ruin his suit and also his day should it be exposed.

"Optimus, I will be right back." Gabriel said as he stepped his feet on the fourth stairs down the basement and halted the minute he had his eyes on Optimus. He never had the time to have any conversation with the robot because he was running late already. There sat Optimus on the same chair he was built in obedience to Gabriels command the previous night.

"Okay, master Gab. When are you going to grant me permission to see the outside world again?" Optimus asked without hesitation as it saw Gabriel taking steps to leave the basement without getting down the horizon.

"I will when the time is right. For now, I want you to stay put. There are things I need to sought out first before I take you out!" Gabriel sputtered, exclaiming with a loud voice to be sure he was heard and clearly understood. His voice also echoed down the basement before he covered the entrance to the basement on his way out. Optimus looked sad on hearing what his creator had said but he obeyed Gabriel anyways.

[Car engines picking up.]

Gabriel drove the old chevy in his dad's garage and it's engine kept sounding like something that was about to break down, but he ignored it, anyone who looks at his facial expressions could tell that he was used to the sound of that very car. His dad had no money to fix even the one he is using currently, and somehow, Gabriel managed to keep the tyres of this very Chevy rolling to whatever place he was to go. Right now, he did not even consider it as anything based on the fact that he has considered stopping by at a car shop to purchase a new one.

"Where the heck is he going to?" Tom, one of the boys next door asked a friend of his, Freeman, who was sitting next to him on a long bench outside his parents compound the minute he saw the old chevy leaving Gabriels compound. He knew it was Gabriel on the steering wheel without having to see him because they knew it was the car he uses whenever his dad was out.

"If you ask me, I can't tell. He should have seen the news or probably heard because those shitty things were everywhere in our neighborhood." Freeman muttered as they kept staring at his car until it was out of sight.

"I don't think he came out all through the night. Hope he'd be back before sundown." Tom replied with a pretty inaudible tone of voice. He was definitely the caring one and though they had some kind of fight with him, still Tom kept worrying about him...

Gabriel tried putting on some music but the player kept malfunctioning and skipping each one of his favorite, he angrily punched it and finally damaged it entirely. He had to drive in a quiet car and kept wondering why both sides of the highway was so quiet unlike what it used to be as at 9:30 A.M. just one truck was right in front of him and looking via the rearview mirror, was a motorcycle, definitely a policeman driving it. He kept observing both sides of the lane until he approached the bank where Mrs. Finn had asked that he meets her via the text message she sent across to him. However, when he drove inside the banking premises, his mind was at peace again because he saw a lot of cars in the parking lot and there was a security guard who directed him to a good spot to park his car before he went into the bank.

"Mrs. Finn, please." Gabriel asked the lady who approached him without waiting to have her speak first, as if he knew what she was going to ask him.

"She's in. I presume you are the one she is waiting for to see. Name please." She asked. Gabriel kind of glanced at the file the lady before him was holding in her arms and lifting his head up in the same moment, he replied without hesitation,

"Gabriel. Gabriel Gray it is."
