Chapter 29

As decided, Lucifer and Lily finally met at Lucifer’s penthouse for dinner. Of course both of them deserved some time alone for themselves..away from all the mess that Gong created.

The meeting was a simple one with not so much preps and decor. Just a lavish penthouse that had the beautiful city lights night view.

Lucifer was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans with a black leather jacket.

While Lily was wearing a white fit top with harem pants and a simple stole around neck.

When Lily entered the main hall, Lucifer was already waiting for her. He was doing rounds around the couch while feeling anxious about what he’s going to say..how he’s going to express how much he missed her.

Lily smiled looking at a anxious Lucifer who was walking around practically running. She deliberately coughed making Lucifer aware of her presence. He stood still at one place…his mind as blank as the expressions on his face.

For that moment he forgot everything that he prepared and walked towards Lily and pulled her in for a hug.

Before this Lily never knew that she was dying to hug this tall, well built man. A small tear drop escaped from her eyes dampening the fabric of his T-shirt.

They were lost in each other’s embrace, feeling the warmth. It was serene..pure bliss for both of them.

When they moved away from each other god knows after how long, their eyes were watery, their face had a different look of being overwhelmed.

“I just can’t thank you enough for coming back to me.” Lucifer finally said holding her hands in his.

“It’s the god who needs to be thanked. It was his decision to send me and Daisy on earth as Lily and Dia. He knew you guys needed support. And moreover that you needed someone to take that sword out from you.” Lily said while both of them got seated on the sofa. Lily placed her head on his chest while he wrapped his arms around her.

Lucifer sighed and said while keeping his chin on the top of her head, “I’ll thank him too..later.”

Then something clicked in Lucifer’s mind and he raised Lily’s head and asked, “But why you acted like you don’t know me?”

“Cz I didn’t at that time.” Lily said.

“What?” He asked.

Lily sat upright to face him and said, “let me explain this to you. I was born here like a normal human being. I have parents friends and family here..like any other human being. And because of that I couldn’t recognise anyone from my past life.”

“Then how did you found out about your true self?” Lucifer questioned.

Lily squinted her eyes and stayed quite.

“Ok sorry. Go on I won’t interrupt.” Lucifer said with a faint smile and Lily continued, “My first interaction with all this was at the backside of our club. Your spell didn’t worked in me properly, I remembered most of the things. Then I saw you and Sabrina at the beach..where you gave her the dagger.”

Lily took a pause and then after a breath she began again, “I was already thinking a-lot about all these stuff and then suddenly those men attacked us. Sabrina thought I and Dia were unconscious but In real I was wide awake and I heard conversation with her human boyfriend. And after that scene on the cliff I was hell bent to know what all was going on around me.”

“I was rude to you..while we were on the cliff right?” Lucifer asked.

“Of course you were. And I hated you for challenging me that no one would believe me. But trust me, that challenge was a like a push for me.” Lily said.

“So now comes the most important part. After that cliff incident I was sure you were no human. So I started monitoring your movements.“ lily said.

“You spied on me?” Lucifer asked.

“Yeah I did. And amidst that I found that Sabrina was always there to protect me…obviously it was because you asked her to..but my question was why would you focus a normal human like me?” Lily concluded.

“Smart.” Lucifer commented

“That’s what I’m. And then I did something not so good and found out about us.” Lily said.

“Wait what? You can’t end the story like that. What you did? I want to know that.” Lucifer asked.

“Nothing much.” Lily replied trying to not look into Lucifer’s eyes directly

“What is it that you are hiding?” Lucifer asked.

“Umm well..” Lily thought to herself then narrated what all happened..

…flashback…

Lily was going all aline on street and was being followed by man. She had already noticed the presence of that man but she wasn’t scared anymore as she knew that Sabrina was eyeing on her. And with Sabrina with her side no one can do anything.

After being tired of being she finally stopped and turned around to see a man, limping. He was coming to her direction but what scared ber more was his lifeless face and eyes even more scarier then that.

She knew it was not a normal being, she took few steps backwards not loosing the eye contact mainly because she feared that if she lost it, that man might do something she wasn’t prepared for.

While going backwards she tripped on a small path hole and fell on concrete ground. It was the moment when she lost the eye contact and the next moment when she looked upto that man he was so close to her. He held her from shoulders and was Almost ready to give her a deadly bite on her neck.

And then came a loud thud voice, the man fell few feet away on ground. Lily looked upto Sabrina, who saved her life once again.

“What are you looking at? Take my hand and get up.” Sabrina offered her hand.

Lily took it and got up, dusting her clothes off dust.

“Thank..” Lily was about to say but Sabrina pushed her to another direction and murmured something. Like ball of fire a golden coloured light emitted from her hands as she directed her hands towards that man.

The beam went upto that man like a flashlight and boom.

Within seconds of that light beam striking straight in his heart, the man was on floor. He shrieked and after bearing some pain, turned into ashes.

For the first time in her life, lily saw someone turning into dust, just like that.

She was surprised, shocked and looked upto Sabrina with her mouth open.

Sabrina looked at her and said, “Look into my eyes Lily.”

“Ohh please! Don’t try your magic to make me forget everything. It never works.”

Sabrina was shocked hearing this confession.

“Don’t look at me like that. I know everything. I’m just trying to figure out how I fit in all this?” Lily said.

“Umm ohk. So you remember everything?” Sabrina asked.

“Almost! Right from where I saw Lucifer punishing a man on backside of club.” Lily blunt replied.

“Okk! Let’s go home.” Sabrina said and asked Lily to come along with her.
