Romeo reached the threshold of the house, his senses were hyper-alert, his every movement purposeful. "You have a car?" he asked, turning back to face Helen with urgency in his eyes.

"Yes, I have, it is in the garage," Helen replied, as her voice was strained with worry.

Without a moment's hesitation, she hurried to the garage, fumbling with the keys to unlock the door before rushing inside.

"Come on in," she called out to Romeo, as her voice tinged with a sense of urgency.

Romeo followed quickly, cradling Helen's mother securely in his arms as he made his way to the garage.

Helen stood by her Lexus vehicle, and with a gentle nod from Romeo, Helen opened the back door of the car, gesturing for him to carefully place her mother on the backseat.

With practiced ease, Romeo laid her down, ensuring she was as comfortable as possible given the circumstances.

As Romeo moved to the front seat, Helen slid into the driver's seat, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and determination.
