Rank hundred was sure he had won and nothing could change that fact. Even the judges who were unwilling to announce the results, or those amongst the crowd whom he had bullied or others who hated him. He really felt glorious.

"I thought rank three hundred and eleven would be a dark horse it is really unfortunate." The principal lamented.

"It really looked like he was gonna become a hero and save so many from the tyranny of rank hundred." A female chipped in.

"Don't give up bro stand up once more." Tilas encouraged with his whole body jerking in excitement.

"If you were rank three hundred and eleven I doubt that you would have listen to that." The female chuckled lightly

"But that was just a basic fist art it was nothing spectacular or formidable."

"Now to you it is not but I can swear you howled in excitement when you were taught about it." She snickered expecting a reply from Tilas instead she heard him clench his fist and scream "yes!"

On turning back to the screen, she saw rank three hundred and eleven standing weakly.

"He will surely be kicked back onto the ground." She said without concern and immediately that was said it happened. The excitement from Tilas died down once more.

"What is keeping the judge from pronouncing rank hundred the winner?" The principal asked from his desk which he had already gone back to.

"I don't know." Tilas replied weakly.

"Wait is the judge Gregor Stiff?" The principal asked as though he just woke up from a daze.

"Yeah he is." Tilas replied not seeing anything different about the matter while the principal scampered back to his initial position and in a moment he screamed "I knew it!" Making those who had lost interest rush back to their positions earlier.

Levi was now on his feet once more but instead of weakness, a smile curled up his lips. Rank one hundred rushed towards him to send him back to the ground. He had a confused look on his face.

On getting closer to Levi he began to hear a ticking sound like a time bomb and in a flash Levi's appearance changed.

From him a mechanical wave burst forth and displaced everything within his vicinity and also sent rank hundred flying; Now standing in Levi's place was a war suit.

He began to walk towards rank hundred who was now passed out and oblivious of whatever was around him.

"Stop him now!" The principal yelled into Gregor's ear from his own end of the communication device which they both put on and in a split second he stood between Levi who had his hand stretched forth as though he wanted to shoot and rank hundred.

"Rank three hundred and eleven I order you to stop." He said without panic.

"Is that still my ranking?" Levi asked turning his gaze back to his unmoving opponent.

"Ok rank hundred I order you to stop." He corrected himself.

Immediately he heard that, he got convinced he won the contest, his suit which was slightly bigger than him retracted into itself and within few seconds it vanished from everyone's sight leaving the weak but happy Levi standing.

Immediately this happened, the silent crowd roared back to life. This was really the coolest stuff most of them had ever seen in their life. It seemed like a movie was just acted before them and the star and main character was now on stage. Everyone celebrated with him except those in the principal's office who in fear of the principal's bothered look decided to hide their excitement.

"I only told you to stop that fellow not to announce him the winner the principal bellowed into Gregor's ears. His voice was clearly tainted with dissatisfaction.

"I only gave him what he deserved." Gregor retorted calmly.

"He only won by turning into that beast we saw few moments ago." The principal insisted.

"The duelling platform was established that in the quest for survival and victory, the students may pull out a wonder which could become a key to the survival of humans against the invaders. That beast you are referring to is one of those wonder and I believe even the most powerful celestials can not rival that fact.

The principal tried to speak once more but found no point to rival Gregor's ruling. Instead he hit himself for not understanding that all along. With a tap in a button in his office, the glowing light on the two students digital badges dimmed and new figures appeared.

Now Levi became rank hundred!" This fact stood as a shocker to many. Right now there were not many people who can mock him about what they saw on his glasses.

Congratulations on your new rank you may occupy your initial position and listen to my lectures if you wish." Gregor commended.

Levi smiled broadly and turned to go. On taking a step, he realized that his internal organs had been greatly distorted and he could not take another step forward.

He still had the smile on his face when he fell to the ground and saw nothing more.

"Levi!" Jerry screamed bursting into tears instantly. Today was obviously his worst day. Now he had two loads to bear who would he choose over the other.

Levi needed urgent medical attention but if he left Rafael who had refused to wake up to sleep on without staying beside him he would surely be preyed on by other students. He was at loss at what he should do next and he was too scared to call anyone's attention to his plight.

He stood up carrying the motionless and unresponsive Rafael along as he ran towards Levi. Based on his absorption of soul energy, it was somewhat easier for him to do than an average boy of his age.

"What's wrong with Rafael?" Gregor asked on recognizing the unmoving body whom the skinny boy carried around."

"He fell asleep suddenly and had refused to wake up." He hurriedly narrated the situation to whom it concerned.

"Take him to the clinic and tell the nurses that he is my patient and that no one should interrupt his sleep." Gregor instructed him knowing what his sleep could mean.

"What of rank hundred? He also is my friend." Jerry inquired.

"Let's hope he will be okay." Gregor replied and returned his gaze to Levi's unmoving body.

After contemplating for a while Jerry took Rafael to the clinic and told the nurses exactly what Gregor had told him. He was about to leave when a stretcher brought Levi in.

Being a loyal buddy to the two patients he could no longer leave and even when other students enjoyed Gregor's lectures he stayed by the side of his friends praying for their recovery.

Principal Rojo spent some moments inspecting the fallen Jerry. He wasn't sure he had seen very correctly. "What powers was this which I just saw?" He found it difficult to believe and digest the fact that the boy he just knocked out tried to use the power of lightning against him. That he definitely had never seen. "Lock him up in a different cell. Make sure they lack nothing and keep them guarded always. He ordered no one but soon another group of staff came running to do his bidding. He continued towards the door and tugged at it to open it. But was unable to do so. When he tried harder he noticed that unless he destroyed the door he would be unable to pass through it. He didn't need to think so much before he realized that however it was done, it was obvious that the door was locked by one of the students to prevent his passage. Levi wouldn't let him cross after he had knocked Jerry out. "You would certainly grow to be bigger if you continue this way I really encourage this." He

With more zeal than anytime ever before, the students from principal Luke's academy assembled when they were invited to the dormitory hall. It was now no news to them that their hero was yet to return from the principal's home and needed an explanation for that. Many especially those who now thought him close friends of theirs were already preparing to go demand an explanation from the principal when he came to them. They eagerly went to meet him to hear what he had to say and when he got satisfied with their numbers he began to speak. "As punishment for their several categories of crimes, those who worked with the inverses are punished by being infected with the beast's virus. Most of these people become crazed beasts of theirs which they easily deploy to deadly battles but on special advantages to them, very few of them become first-class infectos. These people are very useful to them and could be easily mistaken to be normal human beings when in truth they can be best described as

Rafael was mad at how the little boy made him bleed from his mouth and especially made him get hungrier than he already was but he could only bite his lips bearing the pain. Of course, he would not want to create a bad impression of himself by fighting them all even if he was strong enough to. Even that he doubted he was able to do. On the other hand, the boy who looked like the least infected of the infecto trio felt like he was being underrated for being small instead of being respected in the place where he ruled. He did not take Rafael's ignorance as honesty. The only way to establish his position before him was to make him see what death looked like and plead for his life. This he thought and that he did. "Make a feast out of him." He commanded the other boy who seemed to have been eagerly waiting for this moment. In a jiffy, he untied him from the pole in his cell and without unbinding him grinned widely and roared as he lifted him off the ground with ease. His roar was rep

  • Team Rojess

Unquestionably, Jess genuinely missed their days of training and collaborative duels when they both came out at the top of their squad by working together. The collaboration between the strong and the cunning fox obviously looked nothing short of amazing and the impact of their attacks was nothing a little less than deadly. It always thrilled everyone that their collaborative techniques looked harmlessly beautiful but at the same time was very fatal; a thing no one dared to mess with but at the moment things had gotten more serious that they barely had time to even sharpen their collaborative battle techniques much less go on a mission together. She had always dreamt of the day they would fight by each other's side once more but never had she thought that the enemy would be so huge at this moment the thought of who their enemy was made her dread his insinuation. All along she had not seen that request coming else she would have found means of preventing him from bringing it up but

"I don't think dumping him inside the infecto camp in that manner is the best idea." A pretty middle aged lady replied respectfully with a slight frown on her face. "But he is an infectos and that's just where infectos are meant to be kept." Principal Rojo insisted calmly and instead of being disturbed by the woman's suggestions he slowly rested his back against his sofa. And turned his attention to scan through the pictures in his living room like he was just seeing it for the first time. "The other students who don't know what he really is would surely come to demand for their friend. It would have been for the best if instead of disposing him secretly, you publicly made an example of him after which you do away with him. What will you do when the students insist on seeing him?" "I am no criminal. What I did was just the supposed thing to do and so I would go to them and tell them what I have to tell them not waiting for them to come to demand from me. I am in charge here Jess an

Rafael was met with two shockers. First he could not understand why select was given to him as an option. Secondly the fact that the infectos just like beasts had cores. He tried to see what lay after the select and surprising to him another menu rolled out before him.[Absorb core][Reward: Select][Replenished health + 10 stat points][Reduce the beast virus in you + 3 stat points]"What the...." He subconsciously exclaimed. What really were infectos that they are able to reduce the beast virus in him?" Just when he asked rhetorically a theory began to unroll in his mind but just as he was about to make sense out of the logic he was distracted by a presence he felt behind him however before he could turn, a hard rock was smashed on his head and knocked the living daylight out of him even before he could feel pain.In response to his state at the moment, the chair he sat on became immaterial and he fell off from it to the floor to continue his deathlike sleep.
