Boys' Night

We popped up in the dark and silent hallways, quietly trailing further into the darkness. Unsure of why we were here or where we were headed to, I remained behind Daemon and let him take the lead; afterall, he was the one with night vision and not me.

Pulling him backwards after what seemed like a few minutes, I whispered, "You do know that we could get into trouble for leaving our dorm by this time of the night, right?"

But he ignored me, causing my heart to pound even more in fear. I just couldn't understand why we were here and it gave me the chills because there was every possibility of getting busted, which could lead to some kind of serious punishment from the headmistress.

I gulped when we walked past the unrestricted part of the hallways and took the left turn which lead to the restricted areas.

"I sense trouble", I whispered.
