Chapter Twelve

First Kill

Sighing, Jacob opened his eyes, darkness swimming in them.

Jason, who was standing beside Jacob, felt as if Jacob was illusory, fading between reality and illusions.

"Shadow Decay", Jacob slowly muttered. Instantly, Jacob's shadow enveloped the whole room, the light from the light bulbs dimming drastically.

"What is this??", the Assassin's disturbed voice could be heard from the shadows.

The Shadow Decay was a new skill Jacob learnt; during his training process in the Shimmering Woods, he gained enlightenment from watching the life span of a flower near his training spot. He observed the process of withering of the flower and used his Shadow element to form a similar skill.

Jacob's shadow turned into a corrosive demon, devouring the darkness the Assassin was emitting; within seconds, the Assassin's real body could be seen, the Shadow cloaking him devoured, revealing a skinny body draped in a dark coat. His facial features couldn't be seen though, it seemed to be hidden
