Chapter 1

Chris never thought his wife would cheat on him. They had been married for three years and they were always passionate about each other.

Or at least, that's what he thought.

But the tutu shattered his illusions.

In the morning, Chris received a mysterious black package. He examined the package in his hands, racking his brain as he tried recalling when he had ordered something but didn't seem to recall, although his wife shopped a lot she never bought anything under his name which made him more confused.

He tore open the wrappings of the package and took out a skirt that had been neatly folded yet it didn't seem to be new as it was wrinkled, he examined the wrinkled white skirt smudged with red lipstick that his wife often wore but thought it was part of the design until he touched it and noticed it was still quite fresh as though it was done recently.

"Is this a joke?" He frowned as he continued to examine the shirt, he noticed an embroidery flower and instantly recalled seeing his wife creating the same pattern on her white skirt. Could this be a coincidence or could this be one of many pranks his wife played on him since that had been her specialty? He brushed off the idea not wanting to conclude as he was still confused. He noticed a pair of old stockings fall off and picked it up slowly observing. Did it belong to his wife too? He continued to observe it when a thought struck him.

"Could it be that she's in danger?" He questioned himself as sweat dripped down his face even though the room was well-ventilated. He grabbed his phone beside him and dialed his wife's number immediately while staring at the clothing trying to understand why this was sent under his name. She picked up his call which calmed his nerves for a bit, he slouched his shoulders in relief and smiled wanting to hear the voice of his wife. Her picking up the call was an assurance that she was okay and wasn't at all in any form of danger, he continued to stare at the clothing waiting for her to speak up.

"Yes?" She mumbled breathlessly as though she had been running which made him wonder why since she worked in a conducive environment. His face scrunched up in concern. "Had she gotten in some sort of trouble?" He wondered.

"Aria are you there?" He called out but heard her gasp and ended the call immediately, he tried calling again hoping to hear her voice but there was no response at her end of the line which made him overwhelmed with tension again, he stood up from the couch and paced around the room while brushing his hair off his face anxiously, tension had spread throughout his whole body and fear had engulfed him as he was afraid something happened to his wife. He tried his best not to take things up but it felt like the dots were connecting yet he still didn't understand why all these were happening, she sounded like she was having sex but at the same, she could be under a lot of pressure at the office and running around, she had come home a few times complaining about how exhausting it was working at her office, he couldn't stop recalling how her voice sounded knowing quite well that she could be with another man and she wasn't picking his call anymore so his hunch must be right.

He and his wife had been happily married and he never once thought she was cheating on him so he brushed the thoughts from his head not wanting to believe such could happen.

"Was she cheating on me?" He thought to himself again, still unable to brush off the thought, he smacked his face with his palm causing it to redden as his heart ached, he just couldn't bring himself to accept that his wife would cheat on him, he recalled memories of their perfect line of life that was worth imitating. There's no way he could, he loves her so much that he would continue to deny it until he saw it for himself.

He decided to call her friend who was also a colleague where she worked and gracefully she answered her call almost immediately, he let out a sigh placing the phone on his ear but immediately shook when there was deafening applause as soon as she answered the phone.

"Damn it." He hissed, scrunching his face, and moved the phone away from his ear which began to itch due to the loudness it just encountered. He composed himself and placed the phone back in his ear while taking another sip of his black coffee and tapping his foot anxiously, amidst the cold weather his hands were still sweating and he knew just the reason why. He paused trying to understand why he had heard such a loud noise.

"Could they be at a meeting?" He wondered contemplating whether to end the call but stopped when he heard a masculine voice chuckle, he could hear other voices chatter inaudibly in the background. "Doesn't sound like they're in a meeting

and just as he was about to hang up he heard the man speak up and paused to listen to what he was to say.

"You have a nicer shape than Ari, that I must praise you for." The voice affirmed getting more of Chris' attention, his eyes widened in shock as he reminisced on it for a second, It was as though what he had dreaded was becoming reality, pain, and more confusion engulfed his chest as he heard someone giggle in the background.

"Ari? Shape?" He mumbled to himself. "What?" Just then the call ended when her colleague seemed to have heard him in a state of panic. Ari was the nickname he often calls his wife yet this man knew it? How close was she with this man that he knew the nickname only he called her? Could it be that his hung was right all along? All these questions rang through his head yet no one could answer these questions.
