Chapter 1
The Beginning
Centuries ago, there was once lived a powerful Dragon Lord.
He ruled over the heavens and the earth. He was known, and crowned with a Title, as the balance between Death and Life, Despair and Rebirth. His powers were strong enough to make his palace avoided by almost every living soul. From this fear, Humans avoided any act which would anger him. Soon, he was known as The Shadow Lord, The King of the Realms, The Ancient Serpent. Every five years, The Four Elemental Dragons would come together at his Palace on the mountain top, to have a simple talk, or rather still worship his existence. This continued, for a hundred years... Until, The Darkness arrived. The Void of Destruction. The end of all. Doomsday. It threatened the existence of life itself and sought to bring about the collapse of the realms. So, the Ancient Dragon challenged the darkness, something the old gods were afraid to accomplish. This challenge caused the Earth to rumble, the volcanoes, erupted... Nothing was at peace. Thus, The Humans thought the Ancient, All-Powerful Dragon had joined hands with the darkness to destroy all that existed in this world. So, they practiced magic, to defeat the Dragon who no one knew, had just accomplished saving the realms from Doomsday. Those who were able to master this act, awakened the Pure Blood, and were able to use various arts. On that day, An era known as the Beginning of the End – They marched onto the mountains with magic strong enough to make the heavens shake. These humans became known as Dragonslayers, the first to end the reign of dragons, to challenge the Elemental beasts of remarkable powers, and seal their bodies for eternity. The man who personally "killed" the Ancient Dragon, after a fight lasting a total of three dawns, five dusks, alongside a lunar eclipse night, Founded the Eclipsera Academy, with a mission to raise future Dragonslayers to fight against the monsters and any darkness from the abyss. However, the Abyssal Void, from which the first Corruption escaped, wasn’t fully closed by the Ancient Dragon... And Doomsday is bound to return one day... So, as well, is the Rebirth of the Ancient Dragon. ******* "Hey, Kael! You won't believe what just happened.... Mom got me a new pair of designer shoes, and guess what?" "What?" Kael asked, pressing his phone between his shoulder and ear while placing a few groceries on the counter. "She also said, 'My darling Kael would need one as well.' So I'm basically your surprise messenger; I basically called to tell you you've got one too, and when you get home, we would probably use it for a good old gathering ceremony..." Kael stepped out of the shop, adjusting his grip on the bag. The afternoon sun glazed the pavement with warmth, but something in his chest felt cold. "The truth be told; You know you could've just bought it yourself… if you didn't waste money on useless junk n' stuffs.." "No, no, I needed that scooter. I needed that bike! Never mind me, How's school?" Kael paused mid-step on the busy street, narrowing his eyes slightly. "It's fine. Everything's going well…" "Then why the sad tone?" "Sad tone?" "Yeah, man! I've been your brother for fourteen years. I know your voice face—even if I'm not seeing you!" Kael sighed and adjusted the grocery bag again. "Well… you got me. There's an English competition going on. The prize money's kinda huge... but…" "But—?" The street was loud. Horns, voices, footsteps. But suddenly, a screech tore through it all, the raw metal dragging across asphalt. A car swerved, tires smoking. Kael reacted fast, his feet moving before thought, leaping backwards as the vehicle smashed into the curb, releasing a cloud of smoke and gas. Nearby cars slammed on brakes. People screamed. "Kael?! Bro?! Kael, can you hear me?! What just happened?!" Kael coughed and gripped his phone, voice low. "I'll call you back." He hung up and steadied himself, pulse racing, "What the heck... My foodstuffs," As he crouched to gather the groceries scattered near the curb, a bloodstained hand latched onto his sleeve. He froze. A man lay broken nearby, eyes hazy but locked onto his face. "My Lord, I'm sorry... for meeting you like this...," the man whispered. "I have waited for your return for ages, But I'm glad to see your face before I die. And also, to tell you to seal the Abyssal Void again... the corruption is leaking... Please…" Kael leaned in, eyes wide. "What are you talking about?" "I was attacked. Center Park by the Slayers, since I am not an ordinary one, but a creature who has taken many forms but when you were just a toddler, I couldn't get to you, all because your family left the town. But then, after all those years,... I sensed your presence. I didn't believe it—until now." The man winced, clutching his wound. "Stop talking!" Kael lowered him gently, pressing down to slow the bleeding. "Someone call an ambulance!" "It's too late…," The man lifted his trembling fingers to Kael's forehead. "I can't make you remember everything. But please… remember my name…" Suddenly, Kael's head split with a surge of pain, it was similar to a brick which had dropped onto his skull. He gasped. The world darkened. A memory flashed.... Nighttime... A summer field.... A willow tree, with its flexible branches swaying. An elderly man eating berries beside a young woman. He approached. The man looked up, smiling calmly. "You hate coming outside. So... why now?" His name… Kael remembered. "Ren?" he whispered. Then the memory faded. And the man's body slowly dematerialized, as he replied, "I am glad you remembered my name." ***** "Let me get this straight," the detective said, arms folded. "A dying old man, roughly ninety, bleeding out, held your hand and mumbled something you didn't understand?" Kael nodded. "Yes." "And there are no blood stains. No evidence. Not even on your clothes?" "Yes." "Then, suddenly, his body vanished or rather still, someone took him away, using the smoke screen to their advantages.." Kael nodded again. "Probably, Yes." The detective rubbed his face and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Your name again?" "Kael Von." "Alright, Mister Kael. What's saving you right now is that, we've checked your records, which came out... Clean. But given this situation, you're still on our radar. We'll be keeping an eye on you." He walked off toward a cluster of officers, leaving Kael standing still. 'That memory...it was mine?' He thought to himself, 'But why can't I recall it? I've lived my whole life with Mom, Dad, and Luke… haven't I?' The street buzzed around him. Voices, and some Reports. Yet it all felt hollow, kind of disconnected. Nothing made sense, no single word. Then something caught his eye. A man. Not just anyone, but someone strikingly dressed. But, he was old, with golden-blond hair streaked with silver, Shoulder-length, and Glasses perched perfectly. He wasn't staring, but something about his look seemed judgemental. Kael's phone buzzed again, he glanced down to the screen, before looking back up. The man was gone. "That was odd…," Kael muttered, answering the call. "Hey, Lu—" "THANK HEAVENS! I've been calling you nonstop. You ended the call earlier. Are you okay?! I was about to tell Mom—" "I'm fine, Luke. There was an accident." "You had an accident?!" "No, I witnessed one." "Oh man! You scared me! Were there any casualties?" "None. Just an old man… who passed away. But all's good now." Kael checked his bag—groceries intact. "O–okay. Switching topics—but did you hear about the new park—?" Park? Kael froze. Center Park. That's where the man said he'd been injured. That meant something. "Luke, I'll call you back." He hung up before Luke could spiral. Then, as he turned to cross the street, a firm hand grabbed his shoulder. Kael turn around only to see the same man. Blond-silver hair, that mysterious gaze, and Unbothered expression. "Kael Von?" Kael blinked, heart hammering. "Yes? Why? What? What?" "You see me?" Kael frowned, "What sort of stupid question is that, of course I can see you, just the way I see everyone!" The man slipped a sleek black card into his hand. "Tonight. Midnight. Take the subway train. It will bring you to where you're meant to be, and I'll be on it to explain half of everything..." Kael stared at the card. 'What are you—" "Also, Do not go to the park." Kael raised his eyes, "How do you—" But the man was gone.Expand

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD The truth
Ash quickly dematerialized, just enough time, before he almost got spotted by the academy's search team.More than five men, armed to the teeth, with radar scanner which seemed to be like long iron rods, searched the entire premises, just after getting dropped from the Academy's helicopter. One of the men, tapped his earpiece, sending a message to the Control room, where the elders were gathered. But, not just the elders; Principal Cedric was there as well."... There is no sign of anything here, although the radars are picking up intense energy released from the premises," The man said, moving around, trying to place what wasn't supposed to be there."... I see," Principal Cedric said, tapping his chin, before adjusting his glasses, then said to the elders, "... What we picked up, a minute ago was a magnitude of powers unlike any corruption we have ever seen."He turned to face the Headmaster, a man with a serious expression which seemed to mask his deadpanned looking eyes.Dressed i

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD Transformations and Problems
A massive pillar of golden fire shot straight up from the center of the plateau, punching a jagged hole through the clouds. Kael’s body didn't just "transform"—it exploded outward. His hoodie, his jeans, his boots—they all just turned to ash, unable to handle the sudden, violent heat. His skin hardened into heavy, shimmering gold plates. His spine lengthened, snapping and popping like a falling tree, as two massive, tattered wings unfurled and caught the moonlight. He wasn't a teenager anymore. He was a Golden Dragon, ancient and terrifying. When he opened his eyes, they weren't human—they were two burning suns that turned the midnight sky into high noon.Ash didn't run....... He didn't even try to stand his ground. The sheer weight of Kael’s presence—that "aura" Dravil had warned him about—was like a physical hand shoving him into the dirt. Ash’s knees hit the gravel with a hard thud. He bent his head low, his forehead almost touching the dusty ground, his small body shaking uncontr

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD The Ancient Dragon
Kael slowly stood up, his eyes facing the moonlight, his sight not exceeding their gaze, he kept quiet... Too quiet. Then, he looked at Ash again.Ash slowly kept quiet, before asking, almost abruptly, "... What did you see? What exactly did you see in your vision?" He asked, but deep down.... in his heart, he truly was worried about everything. He had always known the Ancient Dragon for as long as time could tell, but to see this same person trapped in a body and thoughts of uncertainty.This... felt sad. "... I saw when I... I was the Ancient Dragon, this time I saw myself as a whole Dragon, in the flesh," Kael raised his hand towards the moonlight, "... I could see the scales, I could feel the energy, I could feel... everything, I didn't understand what I wanted, but I knew one thing and that's that I wanted Peace. No matter what was going on, I wanted Peace, I wanted to end the fight, I wanted the whole world to be balanced, this was my entire goal, this... Everything... I.... t

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD The great darkness
Kael sat in the heavy silence of Mount Shara, the black sword resting across his knees. The metal felt cold, but it pulsed against his palms like a living heart. As he stared into the silver glow of the moon, his vision started to blur. The wind stopped howling, and the mountain beneath him seemed to dissolve into nothingness.Suddenly...A FLASH OF MEMORY:He wasn't sitting on a plateau anymore. He was suspended in a sky that looked like it was bleeding. Everything was a deep, bruised purple and suffocating black. Below him, the world wasn't made of trees or cities; it was a wasteland of ash. He looked down at his hands, but they weren't the hands of a teenager in a hoodie. They were huge, covered in scales that shimmered like polished onyx, and his fingers ended in claws that could rend steel. In front of him stood a darkness so thick it felt like a wall. It wasn't just a monster; it was a void, a swirling mass of shadows that swallowed the very light around it. It had a thousand e

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD Fear of the known
"... ASH?!," Kael’s heart was hammering against his ribs so hard it actually hurt. He stared at Ash, who was just standing there on that jagged rock like he owned the mountain. The shock made Kael’s legs feel like jelly, and he sank onto a flat stone, his breath coming in ragged, white clouds."How long?" Kael managed to ask, his voice cracking. "How long were you behind me?"Ash hopped down from the rock, his boots making a sharp crunching sound on the gravel. "Since the dorms, Kael. You’re not exactly a ninja. You smell like dragon-fire and panic. It wasn't hard to keep up." Ash said with an air of sarcasm as he walked closer, his small face looking way too serious for a kid. "Now, talk, please. What are you doing all the way out here? This isn't exactly a spot for a midnight stroll... Definitely not with a hoodie.."Kael didn't answer. He just stared at his muddy boots, his head buried in his hands. The silence stretched out, filled only by the whistling wind."Kael, please , Look

REAWAKENED S-RANKED DRAGON LORD Mount Shara
The secret train from Eclipsera pulled into the city terminal with a hiss that sounded way too loud in the midnight quiet. Kael stepped onto the platform, feeling the sudden weight of the city air. It wasn't like the academy; it was thick with the smell of old exhaust, burnt street food from a street corner he couldn't see, and the general dampness of concrete. He didn't look at the few people sleeping on the benches. He just pulled his hoodie strings until the fabric shadowed his eyes and started walking. He didn't see the small figure tucked into the shadow of a pillar, eyes glowing faintly as they tracked his every move. Ash stayed silent, a ghost in the dark. But, even with the silence, he whispered, "... What is he going to do?"Kael’s feet seemed to know the way better than his head did. He turned down a street where the streetlights were flickering, buzzing like angry insects. He remembered instantly, almost instantly, the corruption bee which attacked him, and how Principal C
