CHAPTER ONE : Wealth System
“Dean! Dean Weatherman! For Christ's sake, where's that fool of a man!” A middle-aged woman, dressed in a luxurious gown, walks into the family dining room. The interior spoke of money, the kind only the rich possessed. This was Agnes Hallfield, wife of Jackson Hallfield of the Hallfield family. Although her husband isn't the direct son of the Hallfields, he still wielded a considerable amount of power within the family. “Dean! If you're not here right now, I swear to God I will castrate you and have you thrown to the streets!” Agnes raised her voice in anger. Just then, a young man, possibly in his mid-to-late twenties. He was carrying a toddler in his arms. “Mother, could you not wait for a few minutes? I'm trying to get Mitchell to sleep.” Dean said with a helpless expression. But rather than soften her tone, the middle-aged woman flew into rage. “Who is your Mother?” She shouted with her arms raised high. “And who gave you the audacity to talk back at me? Huh?” At that moment, the little toddler woke up with a cry. Dean has to gently pat her and whisper sweet words to calm the child. “Dean, take that little girl to her room, and then get your poor wretched self into the kitchen, and prepare lunch for me. If lunch is ready in half an hour, you'll be sleeping outside tonight. Do I make myself clear?” Agnes said in a firm voice. “But…” Dean attempts to plead, but a stare from Agnes shuts him up. “I will take her upstairs and get her to sleep,” Dean said, still gently cradling the little girl as he went upstairs. “Hmph! What a waste of space.” Agnes cursed and plopped on the chair beside the dining table. Meanwhile, Dean took the little girl, his daughter, to his room, laid her back in the cradle, and stayed for a minute to be certain she was now asleep before heading to the kitchen. He couldn't help but think back to how he got here. Dean Weatherman was a nobody, and at the same time, he wasn't. His mother had been a maid, working for the prestigious and powerful family, more powerful than the Hallfields.. his mother was working for the Mercedes. Things were going well for her, that was until the direct heir of the Mercedes family, Pascal Mercedes took notice of her. He claimed he had fallen in love with her and wanted to marry her, he seduced her into his bed. She became pregnant, and unfortunately, the same man who claimed to love her, was the same man who cast her out. Leaving the Mercedes family mansion, she went ahead and made a life for herself in the affordable part of the city. Using the little funds she had saved up, she started a food store. She gave birth to Dean, but Pascal Mercedes never gave a damn about them. His mother had trained him in school till he graduated from senior high school. But then, the stress began to take a toll on her. She fell sick. Dean took control of the food store, doing his best to raise money for her hospital bills. But when it became too much for him to bear, he sought the help of his father, but was instead, he was brutally pushed out. He had even knelt and begged, but he was humiliated instead.. and a month later, his mother was gone. Dean buried his mother and took over the food store. He developed it into a mini-restaurant. He trained himself through college. At the graduation party, he met Loveth, who had been invited by her friend. It was love at first sight. He asked her out, and she agreed. They dated for a month, but unknown to him at that time, she was merely using him as a smokescreen. Apparently, a certain rich young master wanted Loveth, but she didn't fancy him, and thus made use of Dean. In retaliation for this, the young master, Michael Wheeler, got them abducted, drugged them, and made them have sex while he made a live video of it.. using an anonymous account of course. In order to save their family from further shame of the scandal, the Hallfields performed an indoor wedding for Dean and Loveth. But if the past year had taught Dean anything, it was the fact that the Hallfield family never saw him as one of them.. they saw and treated him as the Mercedes treated his mother; a servant. At this moment, he heard the front door open, and he could already guess who the person was.. his wife; Loveth Hallfield. “Gosh, I'm beat! I could do with a hot shower and a milkshake.” A young lady's voice drifted towards his ears. She was in her early twenties, with an amazing figure, and was pretty. Dean has just prepared a chicken sandwich for his mother-in-law. He saw Loveth seated on the couch as soon as he came to the living room. “Welcome home honey, how was work today?” Dean asked with a smile, but was only met with cold indifference from his wife. “Dean Weatherman, where the hell is my lunch!?” Agnes’ voice sounded from across the dining room. “Better go serve her, else she might lash out at you again,” Loveth said as she stood up from the couch. She then turned around and stared at him, “And get me a milkshake, I'll be in my room, you don't need to come in, just knock on the door and I'll get it from you.” She then ascended the stairs. Dean sighed. At first, he hadn't minded this sort of treatment in the past as he loved Loveth and thus believed things would get better between them, but in the past year, not only had things gotten worse, but when Loveth sometimes kept late nights with a man she claimed was her Bestie. Right now, the only thing keeping Dean in the family was his little daughter.. oh, and the fact that he was currently penniless. “About time!” Agnes berated as soon as she got the sandwich and milk. But a second later, she did something even Dean didn't anticipate.. she tossed the sandwich and milk at him. “What sort of nonsense is this? I asked for lunch you dumb waste of space! Get me a hamburger, some fries, and an orange juice.” Agnes said and stood up, “Bring it to my room!” She then stormed off. Dean stood there for a few seconds. His emotions were in disarray, but then he simply exhaled and reminded himself it'll only be a matter of time before he gets a job and leaves the Hallfield.. just as he bent down, a holographic screen appeared in front of him, and a robotic voice sounded in his mind.. «Ding! Welcome Host, to the Wealth System».

RISE OF EDEN WEALTH: WEALTH SYSTEM CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE: Don't Sit Still
The call went out quietly, but the effect it carried was anything but small. The kind of silence that followed wasn’t the normal kind people got used to in a busy office. This one had weight. The kind that made even confident people feel like they were walking into something they couldn’t predict. Dean didn’t sit. He stood near the center of the room, hands relaxed at his sides, posture straight but not rigid. His face gave nothing away, but his eyes were sharp, steady, and waiting. Clarice stood slightly behind him, tablet in hand, her attention split between the incoming data and the door. Philip leaned against the wall, arms folded, watching like a man who had already decided how things might end but was still open to being proven wrong. Then the door opened. Slow. Controlled. And the person stepped in. No rush. No hesitation. Just a calm walk forward that would have looked normal to anyone who didn’t understand the tension in the room. But everyone here understood. Dean’s eyes loc

RISE OF EDEN WEALTH: WEALTH SYSTEM CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-EIGHT: Enemy That Knows Your Name
The room didn’t breathe. It held. Every word that had just been said stayed suspended in the air like something too heavy to drop. Dean didn’t move. Not immediately. His eyes stayed on the man in front of him, not searching for fear, not looking for guilt, but measuring something more difficult—consistency. Truth wasn’t always in what people said. Sometimes it was in how little they changed when pressure tightened around them. “…Deeper than we think,” Dean repeated quietly. The man nodded once. “Yes.” Philip shifted slightly, his tone low but edged. “Or you’re just trying to make this bigger than it is.” The man didn’t look at him this time. He kept his eyes on Dean. “…If I wanted to deflect, I’d keep it simple.” A pause. “…This isn’t simple.” Clarice’s fingers hovered over her tablet, but she didn’t type. She was watching. Listening. Because right now, the smallest reaction mattered. Dean took a slow step forward. Not aggressive. Not soft either. Just enough to close the distance. “…

RISE OF EDEN WEALTH: WEALTH SYSTEM CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SEVEN: Manipulation
Chapter 147. The Hand Behind the CurtainThe calm didn’t last. It never did. Not when something was already in motion. The containment worked—at least on the surface. Conversations tightened. Doubt stopped spreading openly. The structure held. But Dean could feel it. Not with his eyes. Not with data. With instinct. The pressure hadn’t disappeared. It had shifted. That was worse. Because pressure that moved was pressure that adapted. Dean stood by the glass wall overlooking the main floor, his hands in his pockets, his expression unreadable. Below, everything looked normal again. People moving. Teams working. Orders flowing. But normal didn’t mean stable. “…You’re waiting,” Clarice said as she stepped beside him. Dean didn’t look at her. “Yes.” “…For what?” He paused. Just for a second. “…For them to get impatient.” Clarice frowned slightly. “You think they will?” Dean nodded once. “They have to.” A pause. “…What they’re doing now only works if we stay uncertain.” Philip joined them, h

RISE OF EDEN WEALTH: WEALTH SYSTEM CHAPTER 146. Going After Our People
The word stayed in the air long after Dean said it. Trust. Not numbers. Not assets. Not contracts. Something softer. Something harder to measure. And because of that, something far easier to break if you knew where to press. Clarice didn’t respond immediately. She just looked at him, her grip on the tablet tightening slightly. Philip’s expression darkened, his instincts already moving ahead of the explanation. “…You think they’ll go after our people?” he asked. Dean shook his head once. “Not directly.” A pause. “…That would be too obvious.” Clarice’s voice came slower. “…Then how?” Dean’s eyes sharpened slightly. “They don’t need to remove trust,” he said. “They just need to question it.” Silence followed. Because that… was worse. Doubt didn’t break things immediately. It spread. Quiet. Invisible. And by the time you noticed it, it was already everywhere. Philip let out a low breath. “So they plant something.” Dean nodded. “Exactly.” Clarice frowned. “Rumors?” “More than that,” Dean r
