2. Death...

"There you are." he quickly picked the vitality grass up and put it in his bag. but he was now feeling a little giddy because he lost a lot of blood when the boar's claw ran through his flesh. his back was badly mutilated. 

" Let's get out of here quickly. Now that I have found this grass, Grandpa can get better."  He felt excited thinking about this. He quickly got down the mountain and went towards his home.

His home was in the central part of cloud view town where mostly wealthy people live but they were the only exception now when Ling Chen's parents were alive they were the top family in the cloud view town. Ling Chen arrived at the main gate of the town and entered.

 But now his consciousness was fading due to loss of blood. Just when he was about to class, A gorgeous little lady quickly got hold of him.

" Big brother Chen!!"

"Big brother Chen, what happened to you. How are you so injured." This little lady was none other than his fiancee, Feng Jiayi. Before his parents died in the beast tide, Feng Jiayi was born to his father's best friend, Feng jiaosan. Ling Chen's father and Feng jiaosan agreed to their marriage when both turned 16. Their houses were close to one another that's why they grew up together and grew fond of each other since young. They would always spend their time together playing. When Feng Jiayi learnt how to make food she would daily come to make food for them, she was already a part of their family. Her father, Feng jiaosan, even after Ling Chen's father died didn't stop his daughter from interacting with Ling Chen because his father was jiaosan's best friend and his saviour. Years ago when some people wanted to kill Feng jiaosan, Ling Chen's father saved him. 

Feng Jiayi quickly took him to his home and put some healing ointment on his wounds.

 When Ling xiao saw his grandson injured he grew anxious but when he saw Ling Chen was fine and how Feng Jiayi liked his wife taking care of him, he smiled and staggeringly went to his room, He couldn't even properly walk now. 

After one hour Ling Chen awoke. When he saw Feng Jiayi anxious like she was about to cry he smiled and said 

" Jiayi doesn't worry I'm fine now" Feng Jiayi sighed a sigh of relief and calm down a little.

" Big brother Chen, what happened, how did you get injured....did someone bully you, tell me, I'll tell father and he will teach them a lesson.

Ling Chen smiled "Jiayi nobody bullied me, I went to Cloud view Mountain to get vitality grass for grandfather and got injured by a boar there, but I'm fine now. So don't worry okay"

"How can I not worry big brother Chen, you always get injured. I was so afraid...i...i...wudu wudu" she started crying.

Ling Chen panicked " Jiayi don't cry, It's okay... Everything is fine now, from now on I won't get injured okay!. So please calm down, you know I can't see my lovely Jiayi crying right!!"  He lovingly pinched her cheek and consoled her. A tinge of red appeared on Feng Jiayi's cheeks. she turned around and said 

" Okay... Big brother Chen I'm going to make you something to eat so rest up okay!!"  after saying this she ran like a cat whose tail has been stepped on.

Ling Chen chuckled and thought 'she is going to be my good wife.'

He stood up took out vitality grass from his bag and washed it and went to his grandfather's room to give it to him.

" knock! knock!" 

He knocked on the door and called out

"Grandpa it's me, cheer, open the door!" 

he waited but no response came. he again knocked but no response came, 

He panicked and shouted, " Grandpa open the door, open the door!"

But still, no response came he started to pound the door with his shoulders and kept shouting. Feng Jiayi, who was making food for him quickly came running and when she saw Ling Chen anxious and trying to break the door but couldn't, she told him

" Big brother let me" and she threw a punch at door. it came crumbling down. she was stronger than Ling Chen because she was in the 7th layer of the Body tempering realm while Ling Chen was only in the 2nd layer of the body tempering realm.

Ling Chen hurriedly went in and saw his grandfather laying down on the bed. he sighed a sigh of relief but when he thought about why didn't his grandfather wake up even after this much noise he thought of something and shuddered. He went to his grandfather, shook his shoulder and shouted

" G... the grandpa, wake up!!... grandpa was...wake up!! Look I brought the Vitality grass for you, quickly wake up and eat this" His voice was shaking. Ling Xiao didn't wake up, he wasn't breathing, and his heart wasn't beating. Ling Chen felt his whole world crumble down at that moment, he couldn't hold it in and started crying as he hugged his grandfather's body.

" Grandpa...why? , why did you leave me?" 

Ling Chen's eyes went red. He started shouting and screaming while two streams of tears didn't stop flowing.

" Grandpa, why...why did you have to leave, was it because... I wasn't being a good grandchild,  and I always got bullied and worried about you, were you worried I would not survive in this world and die because I am so weak... grandpa I'll become strong, I'll become the strongest but please come back to me, please grandpa please...don't leave me grandfather...please!!

He kept crying while hugging his grandfather's body. Night came and went but Ling Chen didn't stop he kept weeping for his beloved grandfather.
